Yes, they are louder than average, here's the video of a Windtone W90 on a bike, Roots Windtone W90 on FZ6N - YouTube

Cars usually use Roots Vibrosonic or Megasonic.

One can use the horn of P220 if they want a better horn without much loudness.

P220 twin horn should be sufficient...

He he... Have a set of windtone on one of the cars (image attached, it's the w90 right?) and I can tell you, its very loud and sounds 'carish' . Not a good choice for a bike IMO.

220's horn is loud and suits a bike.

The stock tyres were good enough in a sense that they were hard compound and lasted very long and at the time of change, they could do atleast another 3 or 4000kms. But the problems i was facing was the poor feedback and i lost my confidence after i had an encouter with a rikshaw at night. the guy suddenly came on to the road, even when there was good distance, the rear tyre went on getting locked up even after repeated attempts and so as to avoid hitting the rikshaw i had to go off road and let the bike slow down on its own.

after changing the tyres, both i got for 5800rs, i had a good run in of the tyres on the highway and immediately felt the difference. though not for serious knee-downs, you could be tempted to attempt some if the roads are good. they have good feedback while on bad surfaces and braking. much more confidence giving than the stock tyres. and the pickup also is good. did ride for 300km non stop through some bad roads and i still have nothing to complain about.

Totally agree with you. Stock tyres are certainly good in terms of durability. No worries about tyre punctures. Its the feedback which worries me everyday. Actually, my bro recently switched to Michelin for his FZ & he is very very happy. So thought of getting the same for my bike but its almost Rs 6k just for rear

P220 horns are not too good either. Try to get roots vibro-mini with a roots or orient relay for good reasults.

the quoted price here at various shops was between 3800to4200 for the rear and 3000to3400 for the rear. had to do a good deal of bargaining before i found a shop where the quoted price itself was 3000for rear and 3000 for front and finally got them both for 5800. these tyre dealers will rip you off of your money if you aren't aware.

Calling 200NS owners. I am interested in getting an NS for my typical work commute from a north mumbai suburb to my south mumbai office. The total commute is about 25kms one way. Below are my expectations and i need suggestions from NS owners, especially from the ones who live in Mumbai.

Engine and reliability - Oil changes needed at what intervals and oil grade?
Handling and braking - very important to have a tractable motorbike in Mumbai, city men will know well. And good anchors.
Fuel efficiency - I am not too fussy, anything in the region of 35kmpl is alright.
Pillion seat - my other bike is not suited to my gf at all so this is a priority.

Could anybody post a picture of the turn indicator flasher of 200NS or tell me where to find it. Need to find it urgently.

IMHO N250R has good pillion comfort. The seat comfort depends on how your girlfriend sits, if she sits like a dude, it should be okay on almost all the bikes mentioned above by yogesh_hooda, but if she sits sideways, it could be a problem. About the pillion comfort, one of my classmate has a boyfriend who owns a mustard yellow 200NS with 2 marks on the swingarm, a white sticker below the tank on both sides, and the rear wheel painted green, she sits on it comfortably sideways wearing salwar kamiz, they commute for about 20 kms one way so P200NS should not cause discomfort to your girlfriend I think. Do not expect the P200NS to be a back pampering ride like other Pulsars though, it's suspension is stiffer than its siblings.
I am back!

10k KMS is a tad too extended for a motorcycle. Apart from the free services and paid services, the oil must be replaced according to the drain interval of your oil. Extending just based on a preset thought would screw up the bike in the long run. But I just hope it was a typo.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END
