I've been following this thread since a long time and I had to wait such a long time to make a decision. Finally I made up my mind to turn towards the 200NS beast and that too the latest version with the new graphics. I just love the Black and red combination. Hoping to get the machine shortly.
Life is a road, therefor I wander !!!

      As you are on 2500,

Either use 3100 till 5k km or use 5100 till 7~8k km...

Replace engine oil once in 3~3.5k km...

dont jump to 7100 just like that...

Thanks for the reply. I have put dtsi-10000 as for now. Will use motul5100 after crossing 4k.

I am facing an issue. Rear feels as it is snaking very slightly at all speeds. I have checked the balance by leaving the haldlebars at around 40kmph and bike went straight. But often I feel that the rear is snaking slightly (though its very less) when doing constant speeds and it causes my confidence to go down. What could be the reason.

go for it ! you'd probably be first on xBhp to grab the black and red color scheme. What other bikes you were considering before going for NS ?

Yo I found a petronas syntium dealer here in Delhi. May be I will try it out as you said it's better for 200NS than Motul 7100. Could you give us another feedback on how well the oil has worked for your NS till now ? You still running on Petronas or back to Motul ? Any issues with it ?

hello friend these are my bikes ..bajaj discover 135 sports editions is purchased on 12-12-2007 and now it has covered more than 45000km...and covered 6 years..and i am still using it.
i want to purchase pulsar 375 and waiting a lot when the pulsar 200ns launched..due to this long waiting period i am decided to buy platina 100 for my daily office commute and buy platina on 16-01-2013 and used it for 6 months 3000km is covered and sold it for rs 35000 and decided to buy pulsar 200ns because the pulsar 375 takes very long time to release.
finally i booked pulsar 200ns and get it after 1 month of booking(due to strike in bajaj chakan plant in pune)and there is no single piece to display in the dada motors ludhiana showroom.till date i have covered 2100km on it and i am facing disc noise problem from the rear disc when the speed is less than 25kmph...it used to give 48-50kmpl mileage when i ride it under 50kmph speed during run-in.and it used to give 40-42kmpl under 80kmph speed.engine becomes smooth after crossing 58-60kmph speed and less than 50kmph speed it feels that that the petrol in the tank is low...and i have touched 123kmph speed in the 4 gear ...

Disc noise is inevitable.it will go itself away, you cam although have your disc pads cleaned up...

Here ASC is asking rs75 to clean front brake pads on name of servicing it. How much it costs generally in other cities?

                        What the f...?
Ask them Is your bike a non bajaj product..?
They're trying to rip you off.
There is nothing in cleaning disc pads .
Takeout mudgurad, open disc assembly ,taken out pads ,apply water jet and rib them a little bit ,put all back together.
I've gone to svc about 4 times when my bike was under 700km ,they never said anything ,even when it wasn't my service day.
Tell them dont try to loot me

Yesterday I spotted an automobile shop at Jaggan Nath Market, Ashram Chowk. It had the name "Petronas" advertised over it. Though I've yet to confirm if they really stock it.

Are they just cleaning the pads or servicing the brake caliper completely? If they are servicing the caliper it is an acceptable price but if they are just cleaning the brake pads, it is a straight rip-off. If your bike is under warranty, you do not have to pay a penny for rectifying any faults with the bike.

Hmmm, that seems to be the last option. Here ASC's attitude is not that good. What happened is, a mechanic lubed the front axle and that oil went over the disk and started making noise on applying the break. Also bite took a hit. So I told them to rectify it and they told that it needs servicing.

Go to another SVC then, the brake calipers will have to be cleaned too since oil got on them. BTW there is no need to oil the front or rear axle. The wheel bearings through which the axle goes are already packed with grease and covered with rubber seals so apart from periodic greasing of the wheel bearings there is no need to separately lube the axles. Please avoid roadside mechanics in future, as they are not equipped or skilled enough to service a new generation bike like Pulsar 200 NS.
