Perhaps you meant the oil change. Yogesh you need to keep this in mind, no oil would come close to 10K KMS even if the oil states it needs to be replaced. Bajaj Oil isn't as good as you'd think. It doesn't even last 4k where the harshness and engine rattle settles in. Never go by manual especially when it comes to oil.

    Cheers!

The manual does not say 10,000 kms service interval, it says 5000 kms service intervals and oil change at 10,000 kms. Plz read it correctly. And no oil lasts 10,000 kms. It is highly recomended that oil should be changed every 5000 kms.

        Thank you yogesh and cleaner.

        Some more information please.

        - She does sit like all of us and i wouldn't make a pillion sit side ways on my bike. I wanted to understand the comfort level for the pillion in terms of the seat cushioning and the rear suspension as mumbai roads are completely broken and the suspension is never settled. If the above is even as good as the R15 v1 then i have no complaints whatsoever. I sold my R15 and she misses the bike a lot.

        - How well does she stops?

        - Ive changed oil on my p180 v1 every 1200kms, so i dont expect a world from the NS. 3000kms on full synt is good to me.

          hi prince
Dats what I have mentioned that oil change recommended at 10k km.
          I didn't mention service schedule.

          Hi blackthorn
Dear it is recommended by byke designing engineers to replace oil at 10k km.
I think that they actually know at what schedule their designed vehicles need oil replacement. Rest it is everyone's own choice and decision when to replace it.

Well, the service manual tells to replace oil after 2,500 kms. Also the seat height is 807 mm not 805 mm.
                    I am back!

Even the best synthetic oils dont last more than 5,000 kms brother. Even in 2stroke bikes, where the oil stays only in the gearbox, it is recomended to change oil in every 6,000 kms.

About the bajaj dtsi oil, i decided to use it once in my 220, it was so good that i changed it in 150 kms and revert back to elf.

Am accessing from my office PC.

IE 8... i can see the pic

Firefox 26.0... i cant see the pic.

You cant blame the uploader for that

If you see cross symbol, then you need to check your internet option settings in your browser and correct it to let the browser download the picture.

You can google on how to change the settings of your browser.

For ex in IE, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Under section 'MultiMedia', make sure 'Show Pictures' is enabled.

This could not be the only reason for image not getting displayed, there are several other factors such as anti-virus, etc....

I dont wanna dive in much detail, since this is XBHP and not a tech related forum. You can google it anytime

Do they use fully synthetic oil? Btw, manufacturer's recommendations generally apply to bikes that are ridden ideally under ideal conditions. With a youngster on the riding seat, that's the last thing I would expect . But I think NS's liquid cooling system plays a major role in this longer oil change interval.
