Re: Pulsar 200 NS
No freakin way the NS can do 90 km/h at 5.5 k rpm. It must be 6.5k rpm. What you mentioned is nearly duke 390 territory tall gearing!Originally posted by siddharthsure View PostOk,il check with my friend. I guess NS does 90 @5/5.5k rpm. That's what he said. Don't remember exactly. And there can't be this much Speedo error in both the bikes. Either we both are wrong or both have same gear ratio. Let me check with my friend
Edit: confirmed. It does [email protected] Rpm while R15 does 90@6k Rpm
5.5k rpm: 78 km/h I think.
@Rahulbarik this evening I met a member of the NW bangalore. He bought his bike in january 2013 (4.5 months younger than mine), running on Bajaj oil, 21000 kms done. He had a pillion (total weight was around 130 kg I think) and me, the puny 62 kg guy was on my Joeled undergeared NS. He was running a fat rear tyre - contigo 140 and me, dunlop 140. I was goddamn surprised when he easily kept up with me within 4-5 bike lengths on a drag of sorts on a 6 lane road. Mind this: I'm lightweight, have a Joeled bike and he had a pillion and he was running on the oh-so-good Bajaj oil. My shifts were precisely at 9k rpm and very quick. How did he do it?
I shudder to think what he could have done sitting solo.
Btw he told me he hit 140 km/h on day 1 of purchase :PSarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Neither do I fancy this look ... Plastics are cracked internally and it was headache listening to all sorts of sounds.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostAnd i always thought removing those panels will make my bike look super cool, btw frankly I hate it.
BIKING-its all in..,
I care rats for looks when I am having a peaceful ride.
Still few 100 k's for my first paid service and my NS is going to be this naked till then.

Duke 390 actually was doing 102 at 5k rpm when i rode it... dont remember much...Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostNo freakin way the NS can do 90 km/h at 5.5 k rpm. It must be 6.5k rpm. What you mentioned is nearly duke 390 territory tall gearing!

Btw regarding the drag you are reminding me of my bike.... one of a kind hatke machine... it can smoke all ns in town and make them eat dust...and stays right on the tail of duke 200... one small mistake from the duke and i am through... :-D strange performance.... there are actually some bikes in some lot which seems a bit different... maybe i am lucky to get one...everyone who has ridden mine says its a lot more powerful right from the word go :-D another possibility is the other guy shifted extremely well... ;-) you will actually notice that the front pops up and carries a bit when you shift aggressivly from 1st to 2nd gear... happens almost everytime... ;-) btw i also hit 143 just within minutes of taking delivery.... :-D

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
wow this ridiculous looking but the that red and orange shades look brighter and more flashier by the way guys i gotta problem its my brother's NS Its in good condition but my brother told me about an incident that happened to him According to what he had said to me, when he had slowed down on the way to his office just some time after he left home,he had to slow down and stop to give gap to an on coming vehicle and and at this time his ride turned off and when he tried to start it refused to start as usual on cranking and as per his report, he had to relentless crank for several time to bring the engine back to life and he said when the engine came back to life it came back to life slowly and gradually with a very slow and uneven beat just like a diesel generator. After that he said nothing happened and said it ran smoothly as usual without any hint of what had happened. Now iam concerned about each and every issue regarding our pulsar, because it is because of me he bought the ns even after knowing it was slightly an expensive proposition for him as he was more interested in p135ls and other brands and i don't want to see my brother troubled by anything especially with regard to the engine and most of all i dont want the p200ns mistaken as a cheap low quality product and also not to loose my brother's trust. So guys please help me and i want to know the cause and i mean the root cause of it and its remedies and about what all measure to not let that happen to him again. and please help as i don't have any else other than you guys to help me on this kinds of issues.... Guys please emergencyOriginally posted by Anuj_Gupta View Post
Wtf is this,I am now believing that in customization we are way behind these Indonesian guys,I can't believe a iron man style ns, hats off to designer. .

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
I noticed the distance between us at 135 km/h in my RVMs. Might have been more.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postwhat speed you guys were doing...and btw, 4-5 bike length is a lot.
I was surprised because my bike does ~2 bike lengths ahead of KTM 200 and maybe at par with CBR250R at 130 km/h. The CBR goes ahead after that owing to it's 50 cc advantage.
Yeah he's an amazing rider! One of the best I've seen I think.Originally posted by Rahulbarik View PostDuke 390 actually was doing 102 at 5k rpm when i rode it... dont remember much...

One thing's for sure. While doing the speed run, there were a few trucks in the way so we had to duck through them. He downshifted aggressively and I didn't. Mine simply rolls off from 60 km/h to rev-limit very easily, no need for downshifting. But maybe if I downshifted I could have made a bigger gap between him and me.
Hats off to that guy, Rudresh.
Yeah and the way he zips through traffic is also a bit scary to watch.
Regarding your bike: remember not all students from a classroom are toppers
depends on their mind and the practice they get. Maybe you broke your bike's engine in aggressively like I mentioned before. That's why it's so free revving.
