    Hello Everyone

Back to XBHP after a few days, its good to get experience from others experience.

Got some questions in mind. I met a accident on last Saturday and fall off. Reason was applied brakes normally but gravel on road.

Loss: Leg guard bent, gear lever bent, as i was not wearing knee guard, so knee got rashes badly, and few small scratched in a finger and at shoulder along with a very big personal loss which i cant discuss here.

What i don't understand is I had met this type of accident 4 times including this and every time the reason was gravel on road and once wet surface. Every time i applied brakes suddenly in proper manner but bike falls towards left side. Here i have doubt that 4 times, every time different road and different condition but bike falls towards left side only. I am very sure about this accident (Latest one) that i had applied brakes very softly but still bike got slipped. Another thing that why only to left side.

A few days ago i believe some had posted that this is because of brake lines and some got them replaced with P220's for front and Duke 200's for rear.

What you guys suggest, if its true that there is a problem, then replacing brake lines will really help us out or not.

Kindly share your view on the above.

^^ may be there is a balancing problem...bent rims / bent swingarm / bent forks get it checked.

I dont think it will help. It will make the brake bite stronger, thats it. You need to change the tyres dude or get more practice on braking in different conditions. Go for a softer compound.

What....? No buddy there is no relationship between type of brakes and rolling to left side everytime,,,possible reason I think is your riding position, maybe while falling your body parts are intended to go left..or it can be mere coincidence, if u don't feel your bike going left while riding when leaving hands from handle bar,it's not a bike defect. ..you need to understand capability of brakes( it has got the brakes I've never seen ...too badass) and those eurogrip tyres( they're okay for normal commuting, try even a single trick and puff they will get angry...) now if you can afford, then Pirelli SD IS THE BESTEST THING.after that mrf zapped Q.

My bike rides at 54-55kmph at 4k rpm from starting till now. I bought bike in aug 2012 and it has done 16k kms...
At 5k rpm, it does 70-71 kmph..

2.AS YOUR BIKE IS FROM THE FIRST vibey batches, check whether yOU had RUBBER GROOMETS installed...(seriously i brought my bike in july and i see a piece of rubber brethren screws everywhere in my bike and TRUST ME,I HAVEN'T FELT EVEN A SINGLE VIBE(leaving those aside which are supposed to be given by 200cc bike),dont know why people have a fuss for vibe in this bike...
3.gears on this bike are tall and its a 200cc bike so,while shifting between 1-neutral-2 you may hear a loud tak noise, which is normal, regarding harsh gear.its because of time period usage as well as check when engine oil was changed,ALSO MAKE SURE THEY DRAIN OIL PROPERLY( for this start the bike, rev it few times so that engine becomes hot, then tell them to drain engine oil,and check that they are using new filter)
                    Have a nice ride

First, thanks for replying It was my 4th service They installed the rubber grommets (They didnt even know what they were..i had to explain for them to understand) and there were only few of them (which were only for the tank) how many grommets did you get? I still get an irritating noise when i accelerate above 4k RPM.... And though i want to shift to semi-synthetic oil, I think i will stick to bajaj engine oil until my 2 years warranty is valid, so that they i dont give them any reason to void my warranty.

And i always find that the screws have come loose from everywhere... tye engine oil sensor was faulty in some earlier 220/200ms bikes and you will get it changed under warraty. The vibrations a and the roughness you are mentioning, they always seems like they are coming from the engine...but actually they come from the plastic panels after they get loose.... tighten each and every nut you find inside fairing, tank, rear cowl, engine hanger, suspension and the smoothness again returns for few days.... :-) regarding hard gearshifts well keep on riding and it will go away and tighten the clutch a bit to reduce the freeplay... :-)

Thanks for replying and Its great that you remember I told the service guy to tighten everything well but he scared me saying that cracks will appear on the fibre and plastic panels.. So though the tank vibrations have reduced, the plastic panels vibration is killing me..

Btw, My disk brakes started to rust few months back, i wanted a replacement then but they told me they will try to clean it first and then only they will replace it if it recurs. Now it has recurred and i asked for complete replacement, Do you think its possible for me to get them? I maintain my bike very well and its very saddening to find things like rust, vibrations etc..

With a new chain, all you can hear is that sweet valve sound from the engine and nothing more. Makes the ride pleasing!

Guys I've heard from many including Joel that this burning oil smell is common with the 200NS. In fact, after maybe 5-6k kms you can find little condensed droplets of engine oil in the air filter box and if unattended will one day accumulate enough to leak out of the box and give you a scare! The service mechanics say it's the air filter oil (but of course we all know NS's paper filter needs no oiling). Happened to me twice.

I experienced the very same for the first 1000 kms and was most surprised when the 'per-rpm speed' increased. You'll find 58 km/h at that rpm soon
But just in case I'm wrong, check the air pressure in both tyres. And just let us know the sprocket ratio (rear should be 39T, will be written on the sprocket).
I simply love the chain noise from ne chain... just like a cycle... and its soo smooth...

There is no relatiom betweem steel braided lines and wheel locking.... steel braided line with make your brakes more direct, powerful and increase feedback which will inturn make you lock up more often... bottomline is you have to increase your braking efficiency and change the tyres. Indians only care about rear wheel grip and have a tendency to use rear brakes no matter what. They forget that the front tyre works much harder and gets more than 95% of the load and braking job done in braking and if your front locks up you are gone...*boom* so make sure you have a better front tyre if you are experiencing falls due to braking... you sometimes dont even need to touch the rear. And btw i am also using 220 lines at front and dont bother to change the rear... coz i am good even with no rear brakes...dont need them.

                      3k rpm - 45
                      4k rpm - 60
                      5k rpm - 75
                      6k rpm - 90
                      7k rpm - 105
                      8k rpm - 120
                      9k rpm - 135
                      10k rpm - 150
Touching redline 10.8k rpm with the shift light blinking is 158kmph in stock form, the maximum i got... while nokia gps was showing 146-147 continuously And my friends fireblade beside me showing 151 kmph on his speedo.
Strangely, for every 1k rpm the speed varies by exactly 15kmph

Another thing, some days back i checked, my front sprocket is 14t as stock, you people have same right? Plz check and answer. Am asking this because in training manual that i shared earlier, it lists that front sprocket is 15t where as in spare parts catalogue it lists it as 14t. I think may be first batch had 14t later 15t or vice versa.....Am confused

ok then its really confusing, i'm getting 55 kmph at 4k rpm, somebody 54 and someone else 62!!

anyway i noticed a strange thing, while doing CO checkup, rpm shown is more from rpm shown in their digital meter by a good amount like 300-400rpm. I had told them same, they said its normal.. Have u noticed same in your case?
