not sure about the 96% bike being the same. the bike can't have the same engine feel as NS, they definitely must've tweaked the existing NS engine (if that's what's been put inside this faired model) plus a conventional exhaust system ? Also, what are the chances that it uses FI instead of garbage ancient Carburetor of NS. Could simply be a 220cc engine and not a 200 one. We'll find it all out soon. Even if the fairings are a direct fit on our NS I won't get that sort of odd job done on my bike xD
Why does this news excite me more than.. say a reveal of KTM RC200/390.. may be because it's pricing is in my reach ? hehe

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hey Guys. My name is Bharat Sharma. I bought my NS on 15 of last month and since then have drove around 1800 Km.
I have read the whole thread before buying the bike and have learned a lot about lot of things.
As of now i am facing a small problem that my bike idles at 1000 when cold and 1300 when hot.
moreover it feels like there is no petrol in bike at around 4K RPM in 5 and 6th gear. Took it to service center in kirti nagar (new delhi).
They just checked CO level and then adjusted AFR (not sure though). But still the problem is there..
And the CO level was at 3.5 so asked him that service manual states that it should be between 1.5 and 2.5. He just said it's OK..
Now the question is that when CO is more than recommended does it indicates that the bike is running lean or rich..
The symptoms show that it is on lean but i want to be sure next time i go to SVC

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
you just messed up your good factory afr settings variation in rpm range is due to thermodynamic laws(Kidding lol it's ok happens in hayabusa too) that rpm range in which you feel no power, that was also cool but now you have messed your afrOriginally posted by bharat007 View PostHey Guys. Re: Pulsar 200 NS
That ancient carburetor makes it much more simpler to get some tasty little modifications done. Not the case with ECU controlled FI systems. Get one parameter wrong and that video by powerdrift "tvs50 beats ktm duke" sort of things might actually come true!Originally posted by broken87 View PostAlso, what are the chances that it uses FI instead of garbage ancient Carburetor of NS. Looks like that's the only advantage of carbed engines.
And regarding the fairings, me too! Wouldn't like clothes on this naked baby.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
ASC mechanic has overfilled the engine oil while top up and now its shows way more higher than Max level (almost whole looking windows seems to be full). After riding for 15 kms i observed that oil had tiny bubbles. So i was thinking to drain a little bit as it may cause damage to my new engine (done 400km only). I really dont know how do these mechanics are going to screw my bike in 1st service, they can't even put engine oil correctly
.
my querries are
1. Should i drain it a bit to get to the proper level or should i continue to ride for another 150 kms and then give it for 1st service. But I have already covered 100 kms in this situation and i dont want to take any chance as I have read that these air buubles causes overheating and engine damage as well.
2. Can i use the tools provided in the toolkit to open/loosen the engine oil drain bolt.

Take it to same svc and get it done from them...Originally posted by skv View PostASC mechanic has overfilled the engine oil while top up and now its shows way more higher than Max level (almost whole looking windows seems to be full). Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Nothing will happen... keep the oil as it is... i had run with huge quantities of oil on trips...to be specific...1.8 litres... anyways dont try that... a bit mre oil does not harm...Originally posted by skv View PostASC mechanic has overfilled the engine oil while top up and now its shows way more higher than Max level (almost whole looking windows seems to be full). Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hi fellow NSians, i had a small query, recently i had observed that my oil filter cap was leaking oil, but i had already lost a lot of oil and it was on min level when i observed it.
Got it fixed at the svc today but they topped up with the Bajaj oil. I was using motul 7100 20w50 fully synthetic and the Bajaj oil is mineral. Though i have read mixing the same grade is not a problem but it was in regards with semi synthetic and fully synthetic.
Should i drain the oil and get it filled with fresh oil or can i continue like this. Last change was at 3.6k and currently I'm at 5.6k. Its more of a SOS situation. Please advice.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Hey, does anyone know of a mod which would replace the rear seat of the NS with a sort of metallic or fibre attachment like that in the high end sports bikes (in effect making it a single seater). I just realized when removing the rear seat that it would not be such a difficult thing and would enhance the look immensely.
Just a thought.Blood, Sweat and Gears - Enough Said.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS
Yes,u have to fabricate a cast iron sheet or al sheet by lathe yourself, but it will require immense detailing on boundary, in order to facilitate proper fittingOriginally posted by Vikramaditya View PostHey, does anyone know of a mod which would replace the rear seat of the NS with a sort of metallic or fibre attachment like that in the high end sports bikes (in effect making it a single seater). It's pollution certificate, and which one should be 1.5 ...? 0.44 or 3.5..?Originally posted by bondarun View PostMeasured CO LVL should be more than 1.5
