i want to add lockable boxes to 200ns, as all my bikes have one because i go to office on bikes.
I take documents and personal stuff along, and need to keep them in the boxes (dikki as we call it)
without that regular use of 200ns at office job is problem.
I know its a racing bike with monoshocks, it will look bad, i have them on my yamaha fazer (153cc) also, bad looking but functional.

Also need help with new designed grab rails for ns which will not stick to someones backside and can provide support at speed bursts i will undertake.

Help me out with suggestions, picture, products, photos if some one done it.

    Thank you.

Hi, dutta, just one small tip just because it has a monoshock, it's not a racing bike as such. It's just a sports bike inspired A class commuter and the reason I've stated that is the very notion leads to some crazy driving behavior.

You can get top boxes formally or informally as (dicky) as you've called. They are available in most well reputed auto accessories sellers. Next time, ask for TOP-BOX which is a box that's attached to your bike on the back and offers good luggage space. And it's no use installing an updated grab-rail when you install a top box. The Top-box could cost in and around 1500 to 2000 depending on the liters you want.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

For spares, contact Khivraj Motors- Kasturba Road. They have one of the biggest spare shops in Bangalore. I am sure you will find the foot rest there.

it is actually a problem... however, rear brake does not suffer the same problem in my bike.

No motorcycle is made to be an all round motorcycle, be what make it is, what genre it belongs to, what geometry it has or what rubber it is running on. We have to adapt ourselves and the motorcycle according the riding conditions.

I'm running on stock rubber (so obviously, it's not the grippiest ones) and on Steel braided lines front and rear (so no problems of gripping there)!! So, I would suggest, in wet conditions, go on a couple of notches less on the tire pressure, and try to modulate the brakes. I was easily able to do 80+ kmph in torrential rains without any issues with braking.

              Hope this helps.

Actually it can be corrected.... after lots of messing around with vakve timings and carb its perfect now.. the needle stays as if the engine is off... get a good mechanic outside and get it done...and in s keep the afr a bit richer...strangely mileage inceases when rich in ns amd the bike runs better... my bike used to run on a factory tuned 10+ co value and still gave 44 kmpl...

and its a serious safety issue.... i can live with a seized engine but i cant live with brake failure and ram into someone else a$$... its damn scary... And yes the rear one is not vulnrable... the front one has problem.

                    Hi guys,
Posting after long time. Have been frustrated a lot by pathetic service by SVC and and with lods of mud on the rear part of my NS in rainy season. Now that rain in Pune subdued, my bike is having a breather. Though my bikes milage is dropped to 36 from 43 during this.

                    Anyways I have few questions:

                    1. When should be the front suspension fork be overhauled?? As per manual its 3rd servise. But at the Sai Services Balgandharva, Pune that supervisor there, did not do it for my bike even after repeatedly asking. He said it has to be done after 15000km. Now last week for 4th service @ 12700 km he asked me to get it done. and I was pissed like hell, because he avoided doing it in free service and now i will have to pay for it. I will see if i can get it for free.

                    2. As per manual service interval is 5000km/120 days. I got 2 calls from above said SVC saying service is due as the interval is 2000km/2 months. Is there any kind of update from Bajaj on this matter, (or I will have to register a complaint to Bajaj about this).

                    3. Whats typical life of disk break pad life on NS?? I had got rear one replaced @8500km and now again the SVC guy said its worn out, just after 4400km?? That too when my rear break is quite loose and i avoid using it. He said same for front brake, but its 12700 km old and I had reduced bite so i got it replaced. But the old pads seemed to have some more life left. I strongly doubt that the SVC is cheating in this matter.

                    4. I am planning to move to bangalore in few months. How much tax I will have to pay to RTO there?? Any idea??
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Back to riding my bike after a month which felt like an eternity. Was apprehensive that it would start at the first crank itself but it came to life. Bike felt very smooth. Gunned the throttle above 9K RPM on an empty stretch and I haven't stopped grinning till now

I ain't no expert but my 2 cents
1- Was the radiator fan running?. As long as the sensor is working fine, you have nothing to worry about. If the engine was ridiculously hot, you can feel the heat radiating from it on your thighs while driving.
2- I think you can use Motul 3100 Gold. Its semi synthetic and will last for at least 3000 kms. You can think of switching to Motul 7100 later on.
3- Heard JC road in Bangalore is a safe haven for biking accessories. Give a try there mate.

                          Cheers!

                              (1) in my opinion, don't fix if it ain't broke. don't bother if there is no problem at all. unnecessarily opening it means messing it up, coz you don't know how skilled the mechanic is. if you feel that there is a problem do it otherwise leave it.

                              (2) service interval is 5000 kms.

                              (3) disk brake pad life is highly variable thing from bike to bike and rider to rider as well as mechanic to mechanic. my front disk brake pads wore off in 2600 kms.

3> There is going to be a BIKE RIDING TRIP organised by my company(TECHM) in bangalore (From bangalore to nagarhole),and they are asking to be equiped with riding gears.
Unfortunately apart from having a LS2 Helmet , I am not in possesion of any riding gears. Will any of u guide me where can I borrow/hire these accessories from(IN BANGALORE) or if suggest from where to buy.
As this is my first biking trip, kindly suggest ur added views and precautions.
                              (1) engine can run hotter due to variety of reasons.

                              (2) Motul 5100

                              (3) i don't think you can hire riding gears anywhere in india, though you can borrow it from friends.

In my opinion, forget about this
In my small town, there is only 12 200NSs are there; and all of them are facing this.
In my thoughts its a manufacturing defect for sure, which can't be corrected.
@first I was totally fed-up this & then used to it.......
Issue solved. Check a later post. Though the idle stays constant, one can make out that the idle sound isn't exactly like before. It's hard to explain in words, one must listen to it. But now there's no problem accelerating from 40 km/h to top speed in 6th gear.
Anyone looking to eliminate their tuning issues, visit Joel at Race Concepts, Bangalore. I've heard he's a master of tuning, one of the best in the country. His tuning and replacement parts give our humble NS enough power to give the CBR250R a scare in acceleration, while maintaining stock reliability. I'm saving up!

That too when my rear break is quite loose and i avoid using it. He said same for front brake, but its 12700 km old and I had reduced bite so i got it replaced. But the old pads seemed to have some more life left.
16k kms and going pretty good, but not as good as a new one though. I'm planning to run it till 20k kms before replacing the pads. Even though I don't pull stoppies every other day, my riding style is not exactly sedate.
Maybe you ride with your leg pressed on the brake lever involuntarily.
Get your pads replaced in front of you next time if you doubt the ASC to be cheating you.

                                1. As long as you don't find that icon on the console, rest assured, your engine is fine. It's just completed run-in and needs a bit more time to smoothen out. After you use a good quality FS oil, you'll find the heat considerably lower.

                                2. Motul 5100 Semi synthetic

                                3. Since you live in Bangalore, try JC road, 'Let's Gear Up'. Look for Spartan helios to begin with. Should cost around 6k.
