I am not sure if there`s dust and debris stuck in the caliper/pads as the bike is hardly 5 days old and run for just 180kms and there were no rains as well during these 5 days.
Surely the calipers cannot be so sensitive to hardly any dust on them. Can you please just let me know how much each steel braided hose cost you and also are they from a duke??

      Hello Everyone

Last time I got my bike serviced from Dewan Bajaj (Okhla Workshop). Everything was good except AFR setting.

First when i complained about the feeling of power loss and slow pick up at higher gears with low RPMs they checked the CO and it was near to or more then 5. The SVC mechanic settled it near to 2. Now i started problem at cold start and also a bit of slacking at high speed (125 - 130). I visited them today and the mechanic didn't even bothered to check it on the instrument and set it itself by his experience. And by sake of his experience now i had again started feeling same power loss like mentioned at first.

Anyone knows a good mechanic or svc in Noida or South Delhi.

Even I had this problem and initially I was also worried. I cleaned the disc 2 to 3 times but after 1 week it again started. I finally took it to my mechanic and he told not to worry the sound is made by the metal particles used for coating the pads!!

My experience with Suman Bajaj in Noida has been good enough. You could try going there.
          Address - B-77-78, Phase-I , Sector-2, Gautam Budh Nagar
Also could just fiddle with the AFR screw yourself, it's safe.

This is something that even I experienced and initially i was worried. Even went to SVC and whatever they did ...worked only for a day.
It was ON and OFF; but then the problem disappeared. So I would suggest not to worry too much...wait till you're first service(700+ kms on OD0) ...it should be fine by then.

I too had the same issue.
My rear disc use to get heat up even if i dont apply my brakes...
So i visited svr center for 3 times for it.. All they did was, clean it with water and applied some spray..
Problem will start up again after few kms...

So i changed my svc and went to a diff one..
one of my local mech know the head over there, so with his help i went there and requested the senior mech to look after it..
he did advised me to clean the disc with water...
all i said, did it already 3times, kindly take it for a spin and see for yourself..
He returned and asked one of the NS Mech to remove the rear caliper and clean the piston and everything...

My bike felt so smooth and noise free after that..

              For the steel braided lines,
              I used 220F front brake line for my front ( 1109rs )
and Duke 200 for rear (1600 for parts and labour )
Also used DOT4 brake fluid from BOSCH...

Now my bike is noise free and braking has improved...

My red ns 1st service done today at 640km, changed engine oil (bajaj engine oil), got the chain lubed, applied teflon. No complaints till now under my 18 days of ownership. The bike is smooth under 4k rpm, waiting to finish run in. I was really satisfied with the service at pioneer bajaj svc vazhuthakkadu, trivandrum, now there are no vibrations under 4k rpm (I haven't gone over 4k rpm as I'm in run in period) which was there earlier, clutch is not hard as before, gear shifts are really smooth. I'm one happy customer

learned the afr setting the hard way due to this tiring vibes,if i set it high the knocking frustrating vibes at lower rpms tend to disappear, but mileage drops and so does the accelaration above 120s. when we just ride our bike we feel ok with it,but once we ride other bikes and come back and ride our bike,it vibrates way too much.the only bike i rode that made me feel my bike is smooth is the duke.but it has a raw feel asking the rider to rip it.and we riders arent moaning abt it,we arent gonna end up not using the bike or cursing it,there are good sides too,but doesnt mean the bike is refined.and setting the afr high isnt proper tuning.

does vibes increase/occur when the engine is set at high idling..this is what i experienced during test ride..

BTW rtr180 or ns which is one is a proper upgrade from pulsar 150 and VFM. since rtr is 15k less than NS.
no ,it has nothing to do with idling.and for the upgrade,200 ns beats rtr

Already visited SVC once for rear break noise...within 3 weeks of buying this bike. And within a day the problem resurfaced. It is very annoying at lower speeds & I doubt its definitely affecting bike speed & pull
Do you suggest I go for some other SVC, may be Auto Service, Bangalore? Any other suggestions.

According to Joel's calculations, there's an increase of nearly 10% in Bhp. That translates to 25-26 Bhp at the wheel.

26 bhp that's great. I wish I was in bangalore....
Waiting to see how it accelerates. I'm sure it will give tough competition to the duke

Maybe. But it needs a bigger mikuni carburetor. That's my next upgrade in a few months. More Bhp!

                                Thanks bro!
Actually the first one has a bigger carburetor so it makes more power. Mine's stock, but upjetted. It's my next upgrade.
Mine's the 5th or 6th NS to have been Joeled.
Regarding the exhaust, I need time for that. Firstly it costs just as much as all the mods I got done now. Secondly, I need to see another NS with his FFE to judge if I'll really like it. There's guessing I will.
Pros: Exceptional throttle response, better low end torque, better acceleration and the best part: Ease of cruising at blazing fast speeds. The engine feels so free.
                                Cons: None.
