      @Others:
My bikes left RVM is broken. I thought this is good opportunity to replace the flat mirror RVMs to better ones which give wide angle view of rear side. Please suggest some options.
I have this issue on/off ; also happens while you've revv up in neutral also ...not sure if from the sprocket.

Sorry..forgot to mention. For me it comes even when bike in om main stand and the rear tire is rotated. I can hear the rattling sound while riding if I pull the clutch and let the bike roll. It was not there for first 3-4 months. Since then its there and won't go whatever I do. For you it could be some loose part which resonates when you revv.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Could be, but its on and off ....
In case the sound comes when u spin the rear tire(engines off) ..try to see if you can clean and lube the chain ...that fixed mine a while ago.

^^Done that many times, cleaning/lubing the chain. Have also got it removed, cleaned and greased from SVC. But after two days it goes back to rattling. I have given up now. I have given up on almost all of the issues now. I perused them a lot for first 7-8 months. Went to SVC tens of times, attended Bajaj workshops/surveys. Sent mails, called/talked to people, searched on net. Lost my of peace of mind. Finally I gave up now on running behind the issues. Now I just try to enjoy whatever I can.

Thanks for all the updates... did more research on this issue and what i have found is that the rattling noise is not present when i press the clutch completely and raise the throttle, thereby indicating that the noise is not from inside the engine, however, i feel the noise when the bike is running normally at around 30-45 kmph. tomorrow will try getting a centre stand fixed and will get the motul chain lubricant and try to grease the chain....hopefully the noise reduces by this simple errand......

I agree abt the service ; SVC sometimes coz more harm than good.
I treid to visit SVC twice about this and all they say is leave the bike and go; i am not happy doing so.

once, about in february or so, i refused to sign on the form while taking delivery since, the vibes were still there. there was arguments with the managers and all, but I said i will take delivery if only the noises and vibes are taken care of, otherwise keep it and I will keep complaining about the problem till it is resolved. for the fear of me staying permanently at svc, they resolved most problems. the only persistent sounds have been from the console and from rear seat.

both console buzzing and rear seat noise can be eliminated by some diy methods which are already discussed previously in this thread.

About the chain rattling, it will be present only when the chain has been tightened too much. there is a peculiar vibration coming into the brake pedal at speeds of around 15kmph if the chain is too tight. and also the engine sound also is noticeably different. if you observe, you will understand what I mean.

also check whether the points on either of the chain adjusters are same on both sides. this can cause rattling noise since the rear wheel will little bit out of alignment.

duke is 14/43, zma 13t would make your gearing 13/39 which would be same as 14/42. no much point in getting 40T ie,increasing one teeth, increase 2 for best result

Any idea how much the rear hugger will cost? Is it sold as a complete set like the metal frame + plastic fender or can we buy only the plastic fender separately?

                          hello guys,

one of my friend is planning to buy ns200. he took a test ride in chennai..he felt lots of vibes in the bike..the sales person told that the bike

was kept at more idling, so the vibes. .he is now in confusion whether to buy or not when this bikes vines at even low rpm.

even i felt the same..is it normal to feel vibes under more idling in pulsar ns.. kindly help..

BTW the bike given for test ride was a brand new one kept for reg .

Think so, same can be done for our NS too...
We have to buy the whole Rear Hugger assembly..
                            Its available at Bajaj showroom...

but R15 V2 is clean and looks simple and does the job done well...
