    When I start the bike, I let it run in Idle for 2 Minute, however when I start riding the bike turns off suddenly as soon as the RPM needle reaches in between number 1.5 to 3 just to say.

    This happens bec of the idle screw. You have to turn it clock wise slowly till it reach 4k RPM and turn it down real slowly till it reaches 1.5k or 1.3k


    Gear shift from 1st to 2nd never shift. Its always false neutral.

    Try using Half Clutch at times or use full clutch..

    Throttle is tight - have replaced throttle cable still the same.

    Check the cable from where to where its travelling, see if it gets bend somewhere during it... Also Try removing any hand grip if u have.
    You can also Change the Accelerator grip and check whether the problem still there.

    Bike shakes even when I accidentally go across uneven roads like the sides of overlayed tar roads.

    Check your bike rear and front wheel, see if there is any bend on it..

      - Warm up the bike and set idle RPM to 1.5k
      - Get AFR set to 1.8 to 2%. The mechanics usually set it low for higher average

      - When shifting from 1st to 2nd, move your toe all the way up with some force. You should feel a small click at the end. Just tapping the lever up will cause it to go into neutral.

      4. Throttle is tight - have replaced throttle cable still the same.

      5. LED on the right side doesnt work.
      - Get it changed under warranty (if applicable)

      6. Bike shakes even when I accidentally go across uneven roads like the sides of overlayed tar roads.
      - Get tyre pressure set to reccomended values
      - Get the steering tightened

      BTW this is my Bike!! Have named him Hoonigan

        did 142 kmph on sunday....on slight slope...feels great...but progress after 125 is quite slow.

          oil filter not available in our area can i clean the oil filter with petrol and change the oil (using motol 7100 20w 50) last oil change at 9k now odo reading 15450 engine sluggish

            guys plz help
            i bought my NS on 17th october 2012 from megha bajaj lucknow and i love it but my horn seems to be defective and bajaj refuses to replace it
            the horn cracks and sounds really low when the main light is one and rarely it even stops....the main problem is in nights when light is continuously on and the horn keeps on getting lower and starts to weep....
            i made the service men check my horn in every service but the problem is still their.....yesterday i even go their just for the horn but they say until its working we cant replace it and this thing happens in all DC bikes but the fact is that even bajaj descover horn doesnt crack like mine does...and i cant make them adress my problem cause it happens with time...this time service men assured me that the horn wont stop or crack that worse but still
            i am scared that even if i change my horn to another outside the show room and if their is a problem not with horn but with some other electrical thing and new horn worked the same then i am screwed
            my electrical parts still in warranty cant i make bajaj change it
            plz help what to do ??


            one more stuff....my visor got buzzing sound can anyone suggest me how to fix that

              Even i faced the same problem with the horn not working properly... And i cannot afford to take risk without horn so i replaced with the normal pulsar's horn.

                so the new horn worked fine ?? or that cracks too ?? what u mean by normal horn the one with NS or one with 150 ??

                  You can try tuning the horn yourself, it might fix the cracking.

                    Anyway to solve the vibration?

                    Am getting a lot in Handle bar and foot pegs..

                    All these started after changing my rear tyre to MRF Revz-s

                    Checked the wheel alignment twice and they are set to proper readings...

                    Bike has done 2800 and running on Motul 5100

                      I had done 18k on my NS and the vibration problem still persists. ...the main reason can be explained on the fact that the foot peg mounts are not rubberised and are directly mountedbonto the frame. I doubt it is anyway related to tyres..

                        tyres have nothing to do with this. When did you get your bike serviced last ? It is possible that the svc has tuned your bike's AFR to a lean mix. Try tuning it to richer by 1/4th of turn at a time. It works for most, hopefully should work for you too.

                          It was serviced at 530kms and now its at 2800...

                          Problem came up after replacing the tyres, it was like all of a sudden...
                          Go the alignment checked up and everything is perfect fine...

                          Also AFR has nothing to do with it, cos i got mine tuned by my Mech and am getting a mileage of 40~44km/lt...

                          Dono where there issue is.. Yesterday my right hand got numb cos of vibration...

                            Guys,switched to k&n airfilter RC 1060 on my pulsar 200 ns,fits well and after some re jetting through the afr screw, i sincerely felt the difference in low end torque and over all power.Earlier when i used to accelerate the bike in 4/5/6 gear from 2400 rpm, the engine clearly felt out of breath and knocking can be felt.Earlier sweet spot for low down acceleration was about 2700-2800. But after switching the air filter, the bike accelerates from as low as 2200-2300 rpm and above this rpm there is no knocking.
                            And last but not least, the sound has changed for better.
                            All in all worth the 1900 rs spent.

                            Special Mention - The mechanic . Just charged me Rs. 60 to open up the bike remove the whole filter box and then putting all of it together. An hour's work.

                              today i called the toll free number and then the bajaj called me and again i showed them my horn and that manager he refuses to change the horn while it was cracking in front of him...he said that its working fine and their is no problem at all and it happens in all DC bikes he will only replace it if the horn will stop working completely
                              but i was really shocked when i tried another guys NS horn and that bike was 1 month old and his horn worked worse than mine and i was confused that is a common problem or what ??
                              i just want to know guys that if i change the horn will the battery be able to handle it ?? i was thinking of p150 horn
                              one more thing bajaj discover's or passion pro bikes r DC but i never heard their horns working that bad even at nights
                              plz help guys

                                I upgraded my bike horn in just second week from purchase it self,upgraded with roots min vibro and it is working fine so far almost more then one year now and it doesn't seem to be effecting battery efficiency
