    Hey guys need a quick help. As we know summers are coming. I need a pair of arm sleeves that can save my arms and if possible hands too from the intense heat followed by tanning . are there any good brands out there that make arm sleeves for summers ? Probably alpine, cransters, dsg etc. PLEASE HELP.

    And yeah the ones available roadside aren't that good we all know so please do not suggest that one brothers . help me out a little :-)

      Use riding jacket. As simple as that.
      You want to get away from tanning but are ready to have broken bones in case of a fall ? Use gloves n jacket.

      Ride safe and have fun.

        Haha that's so caring of you but I can't wear a riding jacket to college because there will probably no space to keep it.

        And I don't have a riding jacket either. [emoji16]

I had to alter the filter a little bit so that it sits tight on the carb mouth. There is practically no air filter out there which will smoothly slip onto NS carburetor. The rejetting has been done to a 120 main but stays on the 15 pilot jet.

          The greatest gain out of this filter has been the midrange, i.e between 3-8k rpm. There is a gain in the top end torque as well, but since this is a naked bike, top end is something one shouldn't bother too much about. Reg the fuel efficiency, I've had an average mileage of 35 km/l and before modding my average was around 40 km/l. The compromise is acceptable because, the fun factor of the bike is much greater.

          Some attributes of this filter which any aspiring buyer should know are:

          * The filter is available in different sizes, one with a size bigger than the carb mouth and some, smaller. I'd recommend not to buy a bigger filter, because even though the fitting becomes very easy, there are chances that air might leak in or the filter may pop out during hard riding. A small filter's rubber walls need to be altered with a basic box cutter and needs to be forcefully pressed onto the carb mouth. If the job is done neatly, the filter will sit very tightly on the carburetor and wont pop out under hard riding. The jetting and tuning should be done right as well:

          * It needs to be cleaned and oiled every 1500-2000 kms.

          * A new crankcase breather has to be made with sponge every time the filter is cleaned. The sponge layer needs to be of around 2-3 mm thickness and should sit on the pipe extending from the crankcase. Make the sponge layer too thin and the air filtration into the crankcase wont happen properly. Make it too thick and the crankcase gases wont be cleared off and in the long run, expect a busted head gasket, improperly lubricated valves, or in the worst case, piston shatter (yes, it's happened). Maintaining the right air pressure inside the crankcase is very important.

          * In my personal opinion, UNI pod filter is the safest exposed filter out there, since it has a double layer of sponge. Sponge is arguably a better filter compared to the metal mesh of a Simota or the metal-paper combo of the k&n, especially since the sponge layers are nearly 20 mm thick all around it's perimeter. Flow wise, I'd vouch for a k&n more. But the engine wearout matters in the long run as well, and UNI checks all boxes perfectly.

          * The air filter & carb will be accessible by hand once it's installed, since there is no box in the way:
          Thanks so much for the detailed break up. You must be an NS expert now, since you did many of the mods on your own.
          Oh, and from where did you get the Uni filter?
          Your bike is a part of you....

              You can always keep the jacket in staff room (teachers will never discourage you for this) or in hostel at a friends room (if college hostel is near the campus).

              As for jackets being expensive, ₹1L biek isn't cheap either. Rising jackets start as low as ₹4k (i use this one also, Spartan Atlas)

              Its upto you mate, whether to use it or not.
              Safe riding.

                      Cramster/fake alpine stars are not recommended. Go for the Helios. Perfect for city riding since it has mesh, so you won't feel as hot. Ce approved level 2 armor and kickass styling. 6.8k worth it.

                          It is an honor! BTW, the bike in the pic is "Vendetta" herself and the rider is yours truly!

                            Guys anyone tried out the K&N stock air filter replacement (model no BA - 2012) designed specifically for 200 ns ?? I'm thinking of going for it as there will be no need of tuning and re jetting. Anyone here got it ?

                              The bike still runs smooth, gives consistent mileage and keeps the rider engaged with a lip-smacking ride experience thanks to the performance mods. The engine mods themselves are 24000 kms old and running like new. Kudos to Race Concepts @JOel.

                              List of performance, functional and aesthetic mods on my NS:
                              * Ported head by Race Concepts
                              * UNI pod filter, direct mount to the carburetor with a 120 mainjet and stock 15 size pilot jet (done at home) and a sponge crankcase breather.
                              * Single piece handlebar with a custom crossbar and custom raisers
                              * Tail tidy
                              * LED indicators
                              * 3M tank decals
                              * Extreme weight reduction - 7 kilos less, due to absence of heavy stock clipon handlebars, tyre hugger, saree guard, pillion grab rails, airbox, lighter clamps everywhere.
                              * Vibration damping using old tube rubber on all bolts on plastic parts.
                              * 140/60-17 size rear tyre for undergearing effect, for a small improvement in acceleration and reduction in top speed.

                              why are you changing from stock replacement to pod filter?
                              does the pod perform better?
                              did you try the pod after changing the mainjet from 117.5 to 120 or before?
                              and how much does a porting job cost?

                                i have found this picture on facebook. i have been using stock headlamp since day one. My odo is 41,300km. As the bike gets older stocklamp became usless. while riding in night i had to put my hand before the lamp to know wheather its glowing or not. iam thinking of changing the whole stock headlight with this kind of numberplate projectors. will it look good on our NS? what are the pros and cons of this setup.
