Has something similar happened with anyone ever? Bike switching off randomly while riding at a highspeed
It happens with me when my bike is new and ridden less than 800km.

I did mail them and trying to get in touch with Cc on call. Also again had a lengthy discussion with few Bajaj people and all of them are now claiming that MRF will not come as stock tyres for NS and moreover, AS200 is also having Eurogrip.

Whosoever is buying a new NS, please do check the tyre Make and let us know which one is it.

                    thanks.
Brother have you taken the delivery of the new vehicle...? Because any issues like these must be taken up before the delivery as the dealer may refuse to help you out once the vehicle is owned by you.

Now coming to your main doubt, I took the delivery of my new 200NS just 2 weeks ago and insisted the dealer to get the MRFs (both rear and front) for me. Also I was not assured by Bajaj through email that I'll get the MRFs as stock but due to the efforts of my dealer I thankfully got the MRFs which clearly implies that if so intended by the dealer, you can indeed get the MRFs. Although all the NS I saw in the showroom were equipped with Eurogrips i think my emphatic approach worked well to get what I wanted. So as per my recent experience I think the dealer is the key to get those tyres...!

As we can see in the images, mud guards base is very large where as ns is having just 2 joints.. You may need to make some more holes to fit it but it will definitely end up in vibration at high speed.

Accessories apart, do make the following important observations:
                        1. Check the odometer reading. There are 3 trip meters on the 200NS. Check them all to ensure that the bike hasn't been driven much.
                        2. Check the coolant, brake oil and engine oil levels and ask for a topup if you find any of them below the required level.
                        3. Check for any major scratches on the vehicle, rusting on metal parts, paint defects if any.
                        4. Get the battery warranty card duly signed, dated and sealed by the dealer before the delivery. The card is inside the user manual.
                        5. Check the chain lubrication.
                        6. Look for all the switches illuminating and operating properly, indicators working properly.
                        7. Get the invoice and insurance papers made as soon as possible.
                        8. Most importantly, do ensure that the vehicle manufacturing date is not too old. The dealer will let you know the way to know the manufacturing date.
                        9. Avoid buying a vehicle which has been used as a test ride vehicle.

                          thanks for the response Sushant.

Call it my naivety or foolishness, unfortunately I have taken the delivery with Eurogrip tyres. And the dealer was not at all cooperative here (Kirshna Auto,Sec-14,Gurgaon) and didn't knew $hit about bajaj bikes.

Anyways, now I'm following up the issue with Bajaj's customer care, will see what happens.

I was reading this write up about KTM, that in the newer models of Dukes and RCs will be equipped with slipper clutch and it can be retro fitted in the older bikes.... I wished that Bajaj had done the same with the RS200 Fi system but I guess it's not gonna happen [emoji19] [emoji19]

Bro, I'd suggest you to please take up the matter with Bajaj at higher levels using all means like email, contacting their head office, regional head, etc. This particular case amounts to discriminatory treatment with customers because the customer paying the same prices are supplied different tyres. Not only the dealers, but the company itself is responsible for this. Why should a particular customer be given a preferential treatment over another...? Bajaj itself needs to answer this. In fact each customer paying their respective on road prices (depending upon their area) must get EXACTLY THE SAME VEHICLE with identical specification.

I may also suggest you to please apprise Bajaj that if this discriminatory practice is not done away with, you may be forced to litigate against them and take recourse of law. Sometimes such warning itself plays a big role to help preserve a customer's right.

P.S.: If you lack time to follow all this, get the tyres exchanged as soonest as possible as the sooner you exchange the better price you get. And also analyse whether you really need to get MRFs or something even better than that based upon your usage...?
