When you run out of OKS, replace it with Motul. You'll feel a lot smoother.

Although my bike is a little rough now, close to 4000 kms done since the last oil change. So it may be due to that. I'll change the oil as soon as I get my salary.

Sometimes I look at those rich kids who have SBKs, and envy them. I despise them too, sometimes, because of the way they treat their babies. At least the working class values money.

Recently I saw a guy on an R1, he was letting a local mechanic use a hammer on his bike. I felt sad. I felt she deserves someone better.

Hahahaha... Yes agreed! But sadly, that R1 was not a lady to find someone better herself..

The pair would cost around 1000 rupees, but from a guy who's tried almost everything from Rolon, to OKS to WD-40+Gear oil, both in the EP90 and EP140 range, I would say that Motul does the job the best.

If you want to compromise on quality, then OKS is as the name suggests - OK.
I'll go for the motul combo. Thank you.

Cheers. From what I've read on this forum, the correct way to clean it is to apply the cleaner on a warm chain ie after you come home from a ride. You will see all the grime and sludge breaking and falling from the chain in about 10 seconds. Leave it like that for about 5 mins, then put it on gear and rev it a bit, so that all the remaining dirt gets thrown out of the chain.

After this, use a cloth to wipe it clean. Then use the lube and leave it overnight if possible. At least half an hour is important for the lube to settle into the o-rings, so that it can function as desired.

Correct. I use it that way the Motul Cleaner and Lube combo comes in around 1000.

Chain noise, if any is drastically reduced.

                  hey guys
has any one tried 15w40 or 20w40 or any 40 grade oil in the NS?
if so, did it make a difference?
did it become more rev friendly and did vibrations increase?
which felt better 40 or 50?

I still love my bike so I haven't tried to wreck it yet.

i know that a higher viscosity oil gives better protection and forms a thicker oil film and has less chance of break down at high temperature

but a thinner oil should reduce sluggishness and the engine may become smoother but not very protective at high temperatures and rpm
so i wanted to know if any one has tried it and whats their openion

You better buy. Imagine a puncture ... The puncture repair shop is far off, so you have to remove the wheel and take it. How will you remove it with no centre stand?

I would wait for my salary to buy my wife something, but for oil change I'll borrow money

Which is why we have tubeless tyres.

If you have filled it with solution, good

Anyway a centre stand is good to have, if you wanna clean n lubricate the chain yourself.

Hi guys.... Im new to this forum. After a prolonged confusion i finally bought Pulsar 200NS 2weeks back...
Im pretty happy with my black pearl. I love the grunt it produces the most, unlike other bikes.

Im in run-in period... reached 720kms. Finished my 1st servicing. Its irritating actually to goof around with this powerful machine in hand restricting it to <48kmph.

I changed my stock tyres to Michelin Pilot Street Radials......

Do we really have to hold on <50kmph till 1000kms & <60kmph till 2000kms ???
