Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Thank you for the reply.Originally posted by Balgi View Post1) 3000kms on the dot. Irrespective of company or ownership advice. Helps keep the engine young. Ss or fs oils can be changed every 3500kms.
2) if you can't see an oil leak then don't concern yourself.
3) any Bajaj spares shop will have it. If not just go to a good sized spares shop, you'll get it for sure.
4) I personally feel new bikes shouldn't be stickered or painted, but whatever floats your boat.
Draw a template sketch first and design it before approaching a sticker shop. Then once stickered just get a clear coat (film bond) job done (makes stickers and bike's looks Las longer. Regarding paint, DIY it. Cover all parts bot meant to be painted properly and plug all holes then get a can of spray paint of your colour choice and paint it. Then again clear coat for best results.
5) I assume you meant gear pedal. If so then its normal. Try not to downshift as aggressively and your problem will disappear. Don't stress the gear selector so much but if problem persists after this then take it to svc for servicing.
1) Second servicing is due till I hit 5000km or 4 months from now, so should I change my engine oil when I reach 3000km? If so what oil should I use?
2) As you suggested I won't do any suckering, for now [emoji6] .
3) That's a mistake, I meant gear pedal as you mentioned.
4) Is it possible some how to fit a rear pedal so that my mom can sit without hanging her other foot?Last edited by Sandeep Dara; 12-26-2014, 10:10 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
After a couple of hours work in a lathe, P220's 36T sprocket got six holes to fit in the 200NS
By calculation, for a given speed, engine speed should be lesser by 7.7% now ...
Test driven. Exactly 75kmph@5000rpm (6th gear)
The world seems so peaceful going at 60kmph@4000rpm
Now, have to try my luck with finding a 15T .520 front sprocket

I'm in vizag, AP.Originally posted by allen david View PostYesterday I went to a show room, and they say that the on road price is 10570... And 2500 for accessories.. The accessories include Saree guard, rear view mirror.... Aren't they supposed to come with the bike?
I got my ns two months back for 1.01 lakhs, without centre stand.
They told me it costs 800 more for the stand.

I think yes... And get a chain lube too. It is recommended that the chain be lubed every 500kms.Originally posted by Sandeep Dara View PostI didn't buy it till now. Should I?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
How many kms have you done yet? Did you do some rough roads at high speeds? And are you getting some kind of "tak tak" sound?Originally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View PostI cant ride thi weekend bcoz my front wheel is wobbling if I let go of handlebar. Do u have any idea about this problem? PS: My front tyre is healthy and rim is not bent
If yes, I had the same problem, just that the center screw (in the pic) was lose. Got it tightened and it is fine since then.

Will check it. Also when I engage front brake, the front wheel and whole fork assembly is slipping from steering assembly( a jerky movement.. like your whole front portion is gonna go off from motorcycle). My NS has done 30,000 km and during services they never touched steering brackets(lower and upper), ball bearings and others.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
If you're looking for quality, without hesitation, go for the Motul combo, ie chain cleaner and chain lube.Originally posted by Sandeep Dara View PostI never bought a chain lubricant, can you suggest any?

The pair would cost around 1000 rupees, but from a guy who's tried almost everything from Rolon, to OKS to WD-40+Gear oil, both in the EP90 and EP140 range, I would say that Motul does the job the best.
If you want to compromise on quality, then OKS is as the name suggests - OK.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
In my Experience the Jerky movement is because of the Cone set Being Loose or Spoilt, as it gives a feeling that the handle and front tyre is not in sync (doesnt feel one stiff unit).Originally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View PostWill check it. The other part about wobling when you leave the handle mostly happens due to uneven wear of Front tyre.
