Btw I'm in Hyderabad right now. I am wondering why does nobody wear helmets here. Many don't even wear footwear. WTF?

The gear shift is definitely a problem. I rode my NS for about 2000Kms, and I still get this issue. It becomes dangerous when in traffic and you're trying to shift down, but, it just won't and you have concentrate on shifting down instead of on road.

Basically if you can or if I were you ,I will wait till April, as its certain that both bajaj and Yamaha will launch in April for sure.
Thanks for the response bro, but i am looking at naked bikes only.

I revved my bike hard upto 7k rpm on the first day of my purchase and then after 100 km i redlined it a few times after warming up for 10 km. I never followed the xyz rpm and abc speed guidelines but i made sure engine is properly warmed up before any abuse. Changed the engine oil after 150 km i guess and now bike is 7000 km old. Still new but i am getting 38 km/lt when i rev it hard ( redline etc) and above 40 when i drive near 5-5.5k rpm.
I am loving my NS

Guys, do you know any reliable auto shop which will mod my NS with a 100/90 H4 headlamp with a relay?

Thanks!

Now ,no matter how I ride ,on highway in city ,sane ,insane ,it just returns 30kmpl.
I am getting 37kmpl on the highway with pillion no matter how heavy it is(60+85+10) while riding at speed 80kmph.
And around 41kmpl without pillion.
32kmpl when ripped to the higher rpm in each gear half of the journey with pillion.otherwise it will return 35kmpl.

The NS is a very well engineered machine...Good power, very good around bends and cherry on the cake is the decent average it still manages to give even after riding hard...
Hi iam planning to change the tires on my ns,
But still confused betweer mrf revz 140/70 or ceat zoom xl 140/70.
I want both dry and wet grip....but i cant go for it because of it price.

And before anyone points fingers about the run in, it was done properly. Rode between 50-60kmph. :/
I'm feeling sorry for u but myself got only 40 during the initial stages like for 1 year now it gives me 51kmpl
im wondering how ! but maintenence wise i did it great. run-in period i rode a maximum of 50kmph until 1500km and till date the engine oil is Bajaj only.
once i ripped my bike hard in highways like 100-150 kmph and checked the mileage and it was 42kmpl.
even my friend gets only 35kmpl. Its the riding style that matters :P I think

Not sure about the MRF as I haven't used it on the NS but am quite satisfied with the Zoom. Decent grip. No surprises during emergency brakings unlike the Euroslips. Also feel more planted with Nitrogen instead of air

Mrf RevZ is great in dry but in wet condition i'll rate 3 and 1/2 out of five. I rode my friends FZ-S and R15 V.2 to check its rear and i was not awesomly satisfied. Maybe Ceat Zoom XL is also in same context. Check for Michelin and Pirelli but if the price is the matter than Mrf and Ceat is VFM.

Hello friends,

Nikhil here.
Have been following this thread since long.
I am planning to buy a new bike.
for me looks and performance both matter.I have been riding pulsar 180 from a year now.
My query is that I am 5ft 4in nd 64kg in weight and I have done a Td of the ns need to tip toe the bike and not sure if weight will become a problem in traffic as few of them have said the weight of the bike is not manageable in traffic.

Should I go with th ns or look for some other bike.
I am open to both naked and faired bikes.
please put in ur input friends.
my budget is upto 1.3lakh.

nikzcool, pls buy ns after testing a lot as per your height.
Because as per ns demands ,youre short ,you may ride it but when youll need to travel through uneven surface ,you'll surely face a lot of difficulty, even crash is possible.
