Your chain is NIT properly tightened. Get it done by some mechanic(anyone will do) .
The marking on both side should match typically at a suitable Angle so that chain is neither too tight nor too loose.
Alternatively, do one thing ,put bike on centre stand and try to lift the chain upward (by hand /stick/shoe ) .if the chain goes like more than 2 cm upwards ,your chain has loosened up
Well ,by your condition, it certainly has .get it tightened, cleaned and lubed. Enjoy your ride.

I have actually got the chain tightened and now the jerking feeling is not there. after tightening the chain I noticed the difference in the half rings. Should I just leave it like that or does it needs to be corrected.
By the way while lifting the chain up, how much should it move up to know that its not too tight?
(like if it move 2 cm and its loose kind of)

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Found the reason for the smoke. Cleaning of the below part helped it. Oil is leaking from the oil filter part. Now what to do?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Sorry for the delay in response. Finally got some time out to post these pics.
Below are the cost of the Yamaha Fazer visor & other stuff used to fix it. Flattened the "L" shaped aluminum strips, got it screwed to the bolts on the bracket below the black stock "visor". Bent the strips to come out of the little gap that's between the headlight and stock visor and screwed the strip to the visor. Realized that it would probably break at high speeds without additional support due to the wind so added another aluminum strip on either side to the visor and screwed it below the allen bolts on the sides of the instrument console. Spray painted the silver strips over with black paint.
Expenses:
Yamaha Fazer visor = 270/-
Nuts, bolts + Aluminum L shaped strips for support = 60/-
Labour = 150/-
Tip = 10/-
Total Expenses = 490/-Last edited by a_poor_blind_kid; 12-14-2014, 11:34 PM.a poor blind kid

1.5-2 mm should be the total movement of the chain (this is a general measurement and may differ from bike to bike but never by more than .5 mm).
The chain slack should be 1.5 mm if bike is ridden without pillion and 2 mm if with pillion.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Sorry for the late reply guys. I was busy with repainting of my house and with my new Gixxer. Here are the pictures of Bosch+60 100/90 taken with the not so good Moto G camera.Originally posted by Balgi View PostWow :O now that is lucky. Could you ask your friend and post the details of price and availability? Thanks.
I have used Philips Xtreme Vision 55/60 and Philips Rally 100/90 in my unicorn and what ever "vision" the 55/60 may be, it can't beat 100/90. Also this Bosch+60 is better than Philips Rally.

From what I've heard the 100/90 will burn your reflector and/or make the glass yellowish. Are you certain that it won't be of any physical harm to the glass/reflector assembly?Originally posted by sandeepcf View PostSorry for the late reply guys. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
As I have already mentioned in my previous post, this setup is being tested from the last 4 months with continuous driving of 4+hour trips*3 and no visible damage was found until now.Originally posted by anirudhchandrashekar View PostFrom what I've heard the 100/90 will burn your reflector and/or make the glass yellowish. Also the reflector costs around 1200~1300 rupees and we can change the reflector if at all it gets damaged. This would also be logically better instead of spending 3K for HID's etc.

Yes, surely worth over HID's. What wiring modifications required? Any relay setups and wiring harness required?Originally posted by sandeepcf View PostAs I have already mentioned in my previous post, this setup is being tested from the last 4 months with continuous driving of 4+hour trips*3 and no visible damage was found until now.

Total cost was Rs.480 including the bulb.
