Any specific reason for choosing this tyre over others, specially Michelin Pilot Street Radial.

If you go back a few pages, you'll probably find a pic of the comparison between many bulbs. It comes in the stock setup so no extra cost. The bulb has an MRP of Rs 650, and it depends how much discount the retailer is selling at. I got mine for Rs 550.

Sunil, even I'm in the process of changing my tyres, this being one of the probable candidates. But can you tell me what was your reason to go for these instead of the Michelin Pilot Street Radials? I was a bit hesitant to go for these as the tread is not really deep, which made me feel that the life of the tyre is not going to be very much, and also, it won't help disperse water that efficiently. Both the Michelins have deeper grooves. But I've got negative feedback about Pilot Sporty as well, in the sense that they lack grip on wet surfaces.
The only option without a negative feedback is Pilot Street radial. But quality comes at a price, I guess.
Anyway, I've deviated from the question. Your reason to choose these over others?
P. S. If anyone else can shed some light on this, I'd really appreciate that.

Even I didn't approve of the look with the Fazer visor, but I told him that if it solves the purpose, then it's worth the compromise on the looks (Looks which he feels makes HIS bike look better), so I don't see the problem in it.Originally posted by broken87 View Post"adds to the aggressive looks of the NS".. Riders who put on these jugaad visors on Naked bikes, In the process, completely spoiling the entire look of the bike just for a false sense of feeling that you're being greatly protected from the wind blast. Can't imagine riding the NS with this horrendous looking visor, would be so distracting for the supermoto style riding position we have.. Some things are meant to be used in the way they've been designed to. Fiddle with it, and you lose a lot. plus the spoiled looks.
The only thing I asked him was that was his setup such that he can interchange between the stock setup and this one, and he said it is.
I feel it's uncalled for to give negative comments like that. Constructive criticism is good, but criticism for the sake of it only does damage.

The 140 rear won't affect the handling in a bad way. It will give you more confidence while leaning, and gives better grip, and since it will be slightly heavier, and with more surface area, you'll feel planned to the road, unlike with the Euroslips which, when above 100, made me feel like I'm on a hovercraft, if you know what I mean.Originally posted by Gunjit Singh View PostCongrats on your purchase bro. Hello NSians!!
I'm looking to buy my first motorcycle in a couple of months, and the NS is my first choice (the other one being the ZMR). I had a few doubts about the NS if you guys could oblige:
1. Is the lack of kick-start a problem in cold conditions and high altitudes?
2. I've noticed that the air-fuel ratio is altered when driving in high altitudes for carb bikes, usually using a wire-in-carb jugaad. Is this necessary for the NS, or is the AFR screw, which is used to change the idling RPM, enough for this purpose (I realise that AFR stands for air-fuel ratio and this is probably a stupid question, but bear with me please)
3. How is the service quality for the NS in Navi Mumbai (the Kharghar-CBD area to be more specific)? Even better, do you have any good service centres that you can recommend?
Just to clarify, the first two questions are not make-or-break deals for me when considering the NS. They are just doubts that have been in the back of my mind for a while, and I thought I'd get them answered by the owners and experts themselves.

PS: I have driven an Apache RTR 180 (non-ABS) before this. Its just that this the first bike that I'll be buying.

23.5 bhp vs about 20 bhp.
Top speed of 147 vs 130.
Cheaper spares vs expensive replacements.
Better looks on the NS.
That adrenaline rush. Those sharp lines and everything about the NS is better than ZMR.
ZMR is bulky whereas the NS is nimble. Better fuel efficiency on the NS.
Besides all this, the ZMR looks like an imitation of the P220 in terms of the headlights. Those thin rear tyres don't make it look sexy from behind either.
The only good thing I could say about the ZMR is that if you're a tourer, then it might be a better choice because of the fairing and the comparatively quieter engine.
And, if you buy a bike which doesn't make you turn back and take another look before you walk away, then you've bought the wrong bike.
About the queries, I don't really have an idea, so I'll let the more experienced people answer that one.

Ps- mine didn't had also,got medical+tools from svc. Turns out my original toolkit and medical bag was hiding in the deep grooves of fibre where 200ns is written ,got myself two kits ,none of them is useful though.
