SlacknessOriginally posted by Balgi View Post1.5-2 mm should be the total movement of the chain (this is a general measurement and may differ from bike to bike but never by more than .5 mm).
The chain slack should be 1.5 mm if bike is ridden without pillion and 2 mm if with pillion.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I also got this from NGK. Hope it helps...Originally posted by Tanzing Sherpa View PostWhat's best for 200 NS?CR8EIX or CR9EIX NGK spark plug as it seems CR8EIX is hot and CR9EIX is cold plug?
http://www.ngk.com.au/spark-plugs/te...ge-explanation
A low heat range (or hot) spark plug typically has a long thin insulator nose which will heat up easily however will not dissipate readily to the metal shell (above left). Conversely, a high heat range (or cold) spark plug has a short thick insulator nose which will dissipate heat much easier (above right).
Mostly they will not make a major difference. CR9 is advised by many as 200ns is a high compression engine and produces quite a bit of heat. For mental health..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
For some reason, I am not able to upload photos via Mobile app. Any way, below is the pic
of the area where Engine oil is present. It's getting leaked from the oil filter. There is a circle shaped layer of oil outside the filter. I am going tomorrow to Auto Service for the same. Kinda worried as @Anuj_Gupta told it will take Rs 5,000/- to fix the issue. Any one has any input on the same? Pls help !!!Being best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Hello Guys,
I have been using Pulsar 220 for past 3 years, its time to change to a new bike. Been riding for last 15 years
I usually do touring 3-4 times a year (1000-1500 kms) sometimes solo, sometimes with wife.
and usual city rides, rounding up to 200 kms a month. Basically that is all i ride.
Now i want to upgrade, and looking for options as in i should keep Pulsar 220 and add a bigger bike. Budget right now is 3- 3.5 lakhs.
Bike options i thinks are :
1. Kawasaki Z250
2. Benelli TNT300
3. Duke 390 (zero Pillion comfort and single cylinder, so out of list)
Or Replace it with 200 NS and buy a 650 couple of years down the line. Please suggest.Flying Spur

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
today it was heavy traffic in the evening and noticed that the green coloured coolant was dripping from some where. checked the coolant level in the expansion tank and it was below the max level ( and above the min level). Is it normal?

I dont think coolant should be dripping or coming out from somewhere in any condition unless you have a leakage or damage.Originally posted by ep452 View Posttoday it was heavy traffic in the evening and noticed that the green coloured coolant was dripping from some where. checked the coolant level in the expansion tank and it was below the max level ( and above the min level). Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Maybe your coolant level was more than adequate and when you rode in b2b traffic ,expansion took place at extreme rate and thus coolant came out from overflow pipe.Originally posted by ep452 View Posttoday it was heavy traffic in the evening and noticed that the green coloured coolant was dripping from some where. checked the coolant level in the expansion tank and it was below the max level ( and above the min level). Now ,do this ,clean the full engine block of leftover coolant ,let bike stand overnight and check again .
I'm sure you won't have any problem.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Actually You were right...Originally posted by sumedh11n View PostSorry to hear that bro, but I also own the blue bird & Same experience with SVC. They are worst.
Very poor mechanics. Same happened with my NS after 1st service.
I think its because of chain tension is quite tight which cause the vibrations, else the brake pads must be rubbing the disc.
Tell them to loosen the chain tension a bit and rub the brake pads on sand paper. You'll no longer face vibrations!
One of My Friend of Friend is working as a chief Mech in SVC. He checked and loosened the chain tightness but still the problems persists but the vibs are now bit low.
The problem is am having a tight schedule (College
) and I can't took My bike to the SVC within this Week.
And I Can hear some buzzing sound if I stop accelerating the bike.
I fear to give My New NS to local Mechs. So now I don't know what to do...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I believe you bro... Even after 2 years (It was my Pulsar NS's 2nd birthday yesterday :P) I still get 44-47kmpl on highways.
The NS is a very well engineered machine...Good power, very good around bends and cherry on the cake is the decent average it still manages to give even after riding hard...
