Get the lock system checked...cuz when I reported about the sound from the headlight assembly the guy at SVC put some double sided tapes on the tiny windshield & changed the complete lock system...I'd recommend you to take both the keys with you when you go to the svc the next time , cuz if they would replace the lock system , in order to avail the warranty you would be asked to deposit both the keys...

I think you are under 500 KMs on odo. after some time you will be used to its sound & in which gear you are running

Please don't make much pressure on back brake. Use only as a support with front. while breaking more than 75-90% weight are @ front. keep it in mind while riding. even-though I had also fishtailed twice

That was fast. thanks for the reply... One more question how do you clean the carbon from your engine..... I've heard special additives are available that can be mixed with the fuel that help avoid and also clean carbon..... or perhaps some other process...... PLS advise

be kept with stock... as I do
          correct mixture...
will give you good FE & power
The stock setting was good till the first service, i was getting a good mileage too. but now they have set it to 2 - 2.5 after 1st service and the vibs had completely taken away the riding pleasure. So now i've set it to a lil rich by myself. Thanks for the reply tho....

If you're not familiar with the AFR tuning process,I'd suggest you have the svc guys set the CO setting within 2-2.5 %. Best of both worlds.[/QUOTE]

          Same reply again....

          Thanks all for the reply...

from Now on I will keep it at a lil' bit rich where
Vibs are not intruding my riding pleasure and get the engine cleaned of carbon every now and then

I mean, it is common to not trust the electric gauge, but the fuel cock is the one to trust when the bike hits reserve. And with reserve with sane riding you can do well over 100 KMS without sweat. But as a best practice, I'd always suggest you to keep the petrol tap at mains instead of directly reserve so that way you can keep track of mileage and get an idea of what's really wrong.

Try changing your fuel gauge and see how it pans out.

            Cheers!

Thanks for the input bro !! ...

Got the issue fixed at svc ... after a slight heated argument.. the svc guys checked the gauge properly and its was found that the sensor was faulty ( thats what they said )... got it repaired for free ..
still yeah the gauge is not very accurate .. but still better than before !!
one thing i have noticed that if the is tilted at right side the gauge goes up and on left it goes down or i would say gives almost a correct reading !!
Had a look inside the tank of an other ns at svc found that there is a float kinda of thingy is present on the right side of the tank .... the owner of that ns said that.. while filling up petrol.. if possible fill from right side .. on asking why he said that while filling up from left only causes to fuel settle on float which then shows incorrect reading and takes time adjust !!
And yes i do keep bike in mains but at sometimes due lack of time .. or because of college submissions :P i sometimes i skip checking the fuel level properly !! :P and hence reserve :P

            Who needs a stereo when you've got a throttle ? :p

by the way, i had asked about the engine oil ? which one should i pour for my first service ?
and my rear disc looks bronze at the edges, is this normal ?
and how often should i fill air in the tyres ?

last friday i got my bikes delivery, showroom guy said that there is 1 litre petrol in the bike, he said go and refill it now just to be safe.
i just put 100rs petrol and reached home. later i filled 500rs more fuel. in 2 days i filled 200rs fuel and again 100rs.
so total of 900rs spent on petrol which sums up to 12 litres of petrol
delivery time odo reading was 10km, now its 350kms.
my question is that when ever am riding now, the fuel bar is empty and after 2 mins of riding it comes to 2 bars or 1 bar.
am following run in period and not taking it above 4k rpm in each gear.
the fuel knob is kept ON, if the petrol from main fuel tank is over, will the bikes engine go off ? or will it run in reserve ? or i have to turn the knob to reserve ?
i feel the fuel knob is faulty, i want to know how many more kms i can ride without refilling more fuel ?
                  kindly help
The fuel gauge is proper... I think the sensor is placed in a weird place in the tank which does not allow it to read the fuel when it's on the side stand and the accurate measure of fuel will also show up only after a few minutes of riding. You have ridden 350kms which means you used up almost a full tank of petrol (9 litres) approx. I fill after every 350 kms and fill fuel worth of 650-700 bucks.
Just remember when you switch on the bike on side stand the fuel will show less and when you take it off the stand it takes a few minutes of riding to rectify itself. My advice is take the bike of the stand and switch it on when it's standing up 90 degrees.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

                  • Issue!

Odo is on 8500kms, from past few days i found missing power thrust post 7.5k rpm to redline. Bike is moving in a constant power delivery in all rpms, got air filter clean but still the same issue. Does anybody experienced this

I am still facing this issue, had left the bike for one whole day at SVC and according to them they have replaced fork oil and springs, but i am still getting the issue. They have asked me to again leave the bike. I am f***** tired of visiting SVC every 2-3 weekends, why cant these idiots work properly.

Also the front brake losing its bite issue, which i had mentioned few weeks back, got the brake pads changed as they had worn out. But still the front brake doesn't seem to improve as it was when the bike was new. Any suggestions here too?
Left the bike at SVC on saturday for the fork issue plus couple of other issues ( front brake lost its bite + bike running out of breath around 5-6k rpm for a sec). The forks were making some khat khat noise at the end of travel when pressing them with front brake applied. Also it used to cause wobbling at higher speeds. Now there seems to be some quite serious issue as they have still kept the bike with them. hope they rectify it properly.

On the other note, had to come to office by cousin's Dio , Oh boy it was so smoooth ( even after 12K kms and couple of falls) .... must say "Honda is Honda" .....

Yep same here.... i am at 10k kms, and the power rush and roar post 7k rpm is not there these days...

                        • Dear Friends,

My 200ns is due for 3rd service with 240 days & 8100 kms on odo, advice what specific instructions to be given while handing over bike for servicing. Regular issues I am facing is vibrations post 4k rpm, bike seems unsettled on speeds above 75 kmph, unsettled ride regardless of any speed, hard acceleration - these are major concerns.

Last night, someone leaned on my bike while in parking & it felled on left side, handle & bar-end weight got bend & clutch lever bend too in U-shape, left mirror & left side crash guard gone & minor scratch on meter head (yet to rectify if any internal damage done or not). Another extra expense ready on top of servicing & labour charges.

I have filled on Motul 7100 SS around 1500 kms earlier (current reading 8100 kms), advice if I can run on same for another 1k/2k KMS or to change oil as provided by SVC. Also advice me what else I need to get changed apart from services as mentioned for 3rd service.

Last but not least, ADVICE WHICH SVC IS BEST IN HYDERABAD as I am fed up with service provided by Deccan Bajaj workshop @ Ranigunj.

                          Best Regards.

                          Rgds,
                          Salman

It's nothing but dirt/dust, due to which it's making sound.
                              Get it clean.

I did few short trips in and around Pune. I must say this is best looking pulsar (as per me) and I am getting lot of attention on road. I met few people asking about mileage too. I am trying to complete 2000 km as soon as possible and finish my run in. I am keeping it under 4K rpm and only twice tried 5K rpm for few seconds. I am using the same stock tires and no plan to change as of now.

Along with bike there will be few problems, ultimately it is just a machine. There was constant sound coming from chain, there was sound from both front and rear discs and little bit of vibration near fuel tank. All these issues were fixed during free NS camp in Pune. I am not so much worried about these things as I just want to enjoy my ride.

I feel the bike is meant for highway, riding this bike in city is bit difficult as I have to keep changing gears. I have not clicked any picture as of now, but I will post it as soon as possible. I am thinking of to give it for servicing once ODO reads 500, as from yesterday bike is not so smooth and gear shifting is hard too. I think it is time for oil change and tuning.

                                I do have few questions:

                                1. I do not want to use dtsi oil but if I do not use my warranty is going to get void. I am bit confused. I am not sure whether service center guys will accept my request to use Motul oil. May I get some ideas from you guys to deal with this situation?

                                2. Could you please let me know a good Bajaj service center in Pune to service my NS on regular basis?

                                3. Any suggestion where should I put the helmet lock in NS? I bought Vega helmet and along with it I got cycle lock but it is not worth. Do you think NS will look ugly if I fix the lock on rear grab rail?
                                Hi,

                                Congrats dude ....

                                1. You can switch to MOTUL oil ,t wont void ur bike warranty.. A mnth back went to Corporation wala SVC with MOTUL 7100 20w50 oil...I asked them to change it they did it quite nicely.. moreover asked the warranty ka thing.. SVC wala sd dnt woory warranty void nahi hoga..

                                2. YOu can visit either Sai Serivice near corporation or PRo bike in Kothrud...Both r good personnel experience

                                3. Helmet lock .. my suggestion don't put it .. it will look cheap ...
