There's NOTHING as 2013 Pulsar 200NS. Just some misguided folks. May be they are confusing themselves with the upcoming Pulsar 375 and/or the smaller Pulsar (probably 150-180cc).

            Bwahahahaha...You kidding me bro?!!
You mean to say the whole Pulsar line-up is about to change? You have been seriously mislead by those so called Bajaj R&D people. There are only two NEW Pulsars coming up. No existing pulsar is about to get the "NS" tag. How can you imagine a Pulsar 220 to be suffixed as "NS"??

              • i got mileage of 48
kept all the shifts below 4k rpm
                thats really good right ?
by the way my first service is going to come soon, as am 440kms on odo, can youl tell me which oil is there in bajaj dtsi 1000 something ? i want to switch to motul for smoothness
and am just following run in for 1000kms
4k shifts till 500 kms then remaining 500kms 6-7k shifts.
cause i feel the run in given by bajaj is crappy.
and cornering is real fun in this bike and it accelerates way too fast :P

                • Well, I don't quite believe that Bajaj will bring any of that out. A lower end model from 200 mite open possibilities for many types, but it still will be just one type of displacement segment. Plus 200NS getting a version 2 for 2013 is also kinda speculation/ false rumor sounding to me. The fully faired version of pulsar, like said in the interview by em, will be much higher displacement than 200ns, pretty much confirms a bike of around D390 capacity. But I guess these arguments & discussions won't conclude till the official releases.

It will be a custom job. But I don't have much knowledge on where & how it's done. I just spoke the technical possibility, which I've read about in some places ( mostly done in & talked about a lot in places abroad ). Their could be a simple solution too, which I hope some will be able to give here. I don't presume it being a costly affair, so u needn't worry on that.

Alryt. That makes sense. Yeah I wouldn't call something which makes the bike smooth as a niggle . But the other two really does irritate at times.

                    • With 15000 on the odo I got my 4th service (1st paid) done yesterday
                      1. Shifted from bajaj dtsi to motul 7100 20w50 FS (Rs. 750/Lit)
                      2. Front fork oil change
                      3. Front steering bearing chage

Points 2 and 3 seem to have resolved the TIK TIK noise from the front under hard braking and bad roads.

About the oil, I will post the feedback soon.. all bikes feel smooth after service.. the vibes come in after 500km..

The service center was Sai Service Kothrud (earlier probiking) and the mechanic was sagar. Very good service overall.. He started service at 8.30 (while the other mechanics strolled in by 9.30) and the bike was done by 11.30..

Expect a few posts this weekend

Excellent info about the RC8. And in Dtsi oil they get perks or they are required to use them as a standard from the company side.

                        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          .
Rajiv Bajaj himself said in an interview that Bajaj is bringing a smaller (<200cc) and a bigger (the 375cc) pulsars. Now when Discover has got 4-valve engine, it makes perfect sense that this new smaller pulsar would be 4-valve engine and in all probability be called an NS. I would bet on 150cc. As its the most competitive segment right now in India. They would replace all engines sooner or later to 4-valve thats for sure though. May not happen in 2013 but soon.

We have several launches lined up for this year. There are at least two new Pulsars- one that will be smaller than the Pulsar 200cc and another that will be much bigger. This is going to help us defend our leadership in this space and that is very important for us.

Fairing for 200NS looks little odd, isn't it?? I mean you put fairing to a NS (Naked Sports) bike..LOL But truly speaking I would love that option if Bajaj indeed comes up with it. But at the same time, designing a fairing isn't like designing any other accessory, it takes a lot of efforts. So looks unlikely to me.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

                            "wobbling" ...

they (SVC Engineer) had made a test ride & said "everything OK" !!!!! ???????

Got my bike after four days, SVC changed fork oil and steering ball bearing..... wobbling has reduced at high speed but can clearly feel it when riding at 3rd gear and constant 25-35kmph which again these SVC ppl are denying and not ready to accept it.... i am f***** pissed off now.....

If you go by this news: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/258...sars-year.html

then a smaller pulsar is sure to be out this year.

The fairing for NS is surely not going to happen. But as far as this is concerned: "I mean you put fairing to a NS (Naked Sports) bike..LOL", I'd like to tell you that a Naked bike is actually a faired bike whose fairings are removed for a commuting purpose. In the case of the Pulsar 200NS, it was designed with the motive in mind to keep it as a Naked. So putting a fairing on a Naked bike is surely possible.
