after riding 10 odd kms,the engine reaches its operating temp. ,hence the idle rpm rises.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
    #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

it happens with many people, also happened with me, but just after completion 1600 km it started decreasing and after 2500km it wasnt present, now am at 6000km, i have no idling problem like that anymore, dont worry.

So what should be done to fix it? Is it cos of the afr setting?

Well you are correct, it's because of AFR. You are running lean( as per my exp).
Are you facing heating issue & cold start?

                • It's a common mod done by all stunters. Seen in almost every stund bike.

Remove carb, remove the jets, and drill the holes to required dimension or get bigger jets. Upjetting done.

ya u can play with afr and all...but my advice is tolerate till 2000km, after that it will be fine, i know its irritating in traffic...another thing u can do is rotate idling screw, which will decrease idling rpm so u can bring increase in rpm to below 2000, do it when its at or above 2000 rpm, but this will lead cold starting probs, but can be managed by choke...my advice is tolerate till running period over and dont play with afr atleast during running period...

MODs: Plz delete this post, tried alot to delete, but its givin me database error and not getting deleted..

                      • Can someone suggest me a good helmet within a 2-2.5k budget.I like the Vega Off-Road very much but was not satisfied with its fit and finish(I suspect that it might be a fake one) and the fact that it has no visor and has a poor visibility.A flip-up helmet will be more preferred as I wear glasses and it becomes really difficult to put on the glasses after wearing the helmet. Also please suggest the place where to buy in Kolkata .Most probably will be buying it in May as my exams are near and my bike will remain in the garage for most of time. Thanks in advance....

                        • Ownership Update @ 3000kms

Ownership period: 3 months 14 daysLast Recorded Mileage: 38.40kmplEffective Mileage: 36.72kmplTop Speed achieved: 138kmphSpeeds in 6th gears:- 60kmph @ 4.1k rpm100kmph @ 6.9k rpm1. The afr setting is still stock....haven't fiddled with it. Im fine with the fuel economy. Don't feel any blind spots either.2. I can't say there are no vbes at all...but they are very minimal and majorly between 4k-5k rpms. Pre and Post this range hardly any vibes.3. The bike wasn't that unstable at 138kmph as people claim. It was pretty manageable. May there was no wind at all at that time.4. It has happened 3-4 times that the bikes turns off while running. I start it again and works fine. Dont know what causes this.5. The brakes are really confidence boosting but the tyres arent...especially the rear one. I have habituated myself to use the front and rear brakes in the ratio of 85:15 (roughly). So basically I run on front brakes. Though the rear brake lever's free play was increased to ease the tension on the brake but dint work out that good....but definitely better than stock position.6. As @sunilyo mentioned the turn indicator switch isnt comfortable, esp to turn left. Though my fingers arent short but still have to loosen the grip on the handle to switch it on to turn left.7. Mild tappet noise is there...will get it checked during 2nd service...but it aint such a big problem either.8. Hate the horn...activa's horn is better than this one.9. The pillion comfort is not that good...due to the hard suspension settings and I doubt if it'll improve significantly after setting it to softer.10. No gear slips now. @Rahulbarik I dont know how the gears stuck with you. Will have to ride with you one day to check.11. No other problems faced till now (touch wood!)In short...very minor niggles which can be sorted out.
