Yeah. Just 4900 kms on odo. And last change was at 3200. Most are suggesting to go with bajaj oil till 8k and switch to 7100 after thatOriginally posted by xplod566 View Post

8000kms seems like a stretch to me. Just my opinion. Not trying to contradict anyoneOriginally posted by jhbalaji View PostAwaiting for the pics. I was hoping for such a kind of post for long time. Please do post detailed instructions.
And why cant we use the AS200 allen bolts itself? Why so 220 visor screws?

Reached 4900 on ODO. Can I shift to MOTUL 5100V instead of Bajaj DTSI Oil or any suggestions??
The manual says 2000kms. Given that it comes from bajaj, you can extend your run in to 5000kms. Running that much distance on the bajaj mineral oil ought to smoothen the engine out like butter. I changed to 5100 from mineral oil at approx 5000kms. The engine is much smoother now and the gear shifts are a lot better. False neutrals are still there but the frequency has decreased considerably. In the end its your bike and upto you, whichever method you want to follow. Hope it helped

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
My NS has completed 4500km. Ran-in for initial 1300km. 95% of the time I drive it within 3000-4000rpm. And rest 5% of the time, 7000-9000rpm upshifts. Am I doing anything wrong?
Also, the bike suffered from false neutrals when I upshfted from 1st->2nd in high revs. The mechanic lowered the toe-shifter to a lowered level. I must say it has reduced the problem from 8/10 to 2/10 magnitude. Hope it helps...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
You are not pulling the lever up sufficiently, so he lowered it. Remember, gap is more from 1st to 2nd, because it is 1st-neutral-2nd. So you have to pull it up higher for the selector to lock in 2nd, or it will slip back to neutral.Originally posted by Jinoy Joy View PostMy NS has completed 4500km. Of course on a positive note, you will notice that vibes are considerably reduced when you switch to 7100. Also the gear shifts will be much smoother.Originally posted by jhbalaji View Posthuge difference in vibration - on a positive note or negative note?

Anybody?Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostHey guys I am facing a weird problem, its actually weird for me. I am noticing it from quit some time now. The problem is that when I switch off the pilot lamps after a ride (bike is at standstill) rpm suddenly increases by 100-200 and as soon as I switch on the pilot lamps rpm decreases slightly.
Has anybody faced the above given issue?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That shows a load on your alternator. It happens on my scooter. Switching on the lights would drop rpm slightly and when switching it off will resume it back. Considering the Honda Activa has AC electrical and it has the fluctuations too, this is acceptable for an AC electrical.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostHey guys I am facing a weird problem, its actually weird for me. NS is DC. The extra load is compensated by increasing the rpm automatically by the voltage controller ( i guess the name is so). I suspect your alternator is gonna be a bit risky and kinda weak. Check with other electrical units and observe. If you observe the same and if you have any extra accessories, then please remove them (lights, extra horns, etc). I think it should also behave the same for other electrical such as headlamp.

My bike is completely stock except the tyre I haven't changed any thing. Should I get it checked at the ASC?Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostThat shows a load on your alternator. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Don't worry. Is your battery at good condition?. Can you check your battery voltage across terminals?. Or try charging with a 1Amp, 12V charger for 10-12 hours. But generally a weak alternator could be the culprit. Worse, your engine will die upon using lights in future if unnoticed or not fixed soon. Keep an eyeOriginally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostAnybody?

If possible, first get your battery checked. If you can't or don't have voltmeter, then please try with headlight on/off in idling. If you find the same, then report the same to SVC and show the same. For some reasons they won't believe what we say 99% of times.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostMy bike is completely stock except the tyre I haven't changed any thing. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Alternator is getting loaded when you switch on lights. If you let the bike idle for some time and the fan turns on, the drop in rpm will be more! This problem becomes noticeable when the battery is not charging up to full capacity, so when something turns on, the load falls on the alternator. Check rectifier/regulator and battery. Don't forget to make the ASSes measure voltage developed at idle rpm.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostHey guys I am facing a weird problem, its actually weird for me. Yes, weekend with holiday. Better check availability as krixna mentioned. Don't plan for short or long trips this weekend, this could let you down if you are out of reach nearby.Originally posted by Ujjwal96 View PostThanks, will get the battery and alternator both checked on Friday.

Yeah. The re-registration time is 11 months as said by agents. However with the new rule, we can ride with NOC which can be the evidence of your exit from your registered date. Please note, NOC is must and the police will still be able to charge (as NOC is your only proof of exit from your prev state). This was told by an RTO agent. It's better to be safer. Haven't you ever got caught till date?. How long have you been there in B'glore?.Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostBro after paying Road tax you'll need to re register within one year that's the rule..
I am driving without noc.. Because when i inquired about tax it came to whopping 12k for my 3 year old bike.. But there's a rule now that we can drive without paying for at least a year..
I never seen this kind of harassment in other states

Thanks bro, will get it checked you caught it right about the radiator few days back when I was tuning the carb and radiator came on that time I noticed the rpm drop was quite a bit. It looked a bit abnormal.Originally posted by krixna View PostAlternator is getting loaded when you switch on lights.
