Got a chance to look at the carb innards, could not find/read the digits on pilot jet but on the main jet it seemed like 115 but mechanic very confidently said it's 71.5 also per the link the needle jet is a fixed type but by adding washers the mixture can made rich but not lean (per mechanic)

Somebody PLEASE share info on a trusty ASC/workshop in and around Delhi/NCR, that can bail me out of misery [emoji35] [emoji25]

The ones at Kirti Nagar and KB are reported to have the best NS mechs in the NCR region.

I dont know about any SVC in NCR but i can vouch for my friend who is expert in bikes, paul.1911 .

Main Jet of 115? Not possible. Unicorn runs 115 main jet
          Splendor runs 108 main jet
          My cbz runs 128
          Karizma runs 125

So you got to have 120 something. But again my numbers are for keihin carbs.

I think your problems are related to AFR tuning. Contact paul, he can help you .
Carb Tuning made easy (Thanks Sibun !)

jet needle sits atop main jet. Farther/higher it sits from main jet = richer the fuel mixture and if lower, vice versa

In some carbs the jet needle has a thread on top (diaphragm side) which has a removable washer. If the washer is set all the way up/high on the jet needle it'll let in the most amount in fuel (rich) and if the washer is at its lowest = will let in less fuel (lean)

Alas, NS has a fixed type jet needle only allowing to richen the mix by adding washers.

            Adjustable (left) vs Fixed (right)

Also, this video will help further

Just wanted to ask a couple of queries !!

I Bought a Used Pulsar 200 NS (Was just used for 1100 Kms by previous owner) ever since i brought It there is one issue or another popping up inspite of it being almost new.

Chain Sound, vibrations from headlight cluster (this maybe due to the previous owner removing the whole thing to put in LEDs) but the service centre doesnt want to fix it and says the sound wont go both for Chain and Headlight cluster, Is any1 facing the same issue ?

Also just wanted to know as to many KMs that Your NS run in full tank fuel until empty, Mins gives about 320 Kms only with cruising speed about 60 to 70 kmph, in normal city condition (I am not aggressive with throttle, I drive 40 Kms per day with open roads 80% and B2B traffic 20%). Is the mileage good or should it be better ? i have read some NS giving around 40 KMPL so just wanted to know how i can get this fixed ? As it is digging a deep hole in my pocket.

I have around 4300 KMs on my ODO, when is the best time to switch to better engine oil like Motul 7100 and also wanted to change these useless EuroSLIPS so what is the best option, I need grip and braking confidence, these tyres just swivel around when i brake or take a deep fast bend !

Please help me with all the above queries. Sorry for long post, Was waiting to ask these things for 2 Months now !

Welcome bro. I get 320-350 Km on full tank. This is my regular FE with mixed riding. I ride 10-12 Km oneway to office with traffic and traffic free roads. So in your case 32 kpl seems less and should have been 35 kpl. However mileage differs with machines though they belong to same model. My NS gave 43-45 kpl during run-in and stunned me. Because my friend's 150cc uni was giving almost close to that. But post 3500 Km it gradually started to 32-34 irrespective of riding style. Now I stopped caring.

Wait for another 2500 Km to switch to Motul. You never know how the first owner treated this bike, so a bad run-in could result in bad FE, etc. Few simple things to try out is do a CO test as GauravD mentioned. That's the accurate way. Call to Bajaj svc nearby in your area and check if they have it.

For Tyre, change to MRF zapper. It's excellent on dry, mediocre on wet. Also pocket friendly unlike Michelin. Plus, if one SVC refuses to check, try other SVC. If nothing helps, get some assistance to a nearby local workshop. Sometimes you find a skilled guy in small workshop only.

Dewan bajaj workshop at okhla. I get my bike serviced there only. A whole separate floor dedicated to pulsar 200's, ktms and Kawasaki's. A mechanic named Akhtar is a good mechanic there though everybody else is good too. Hope it helps

sorry bro. I'm yet to transfer. It's on hold , financial year, project issues bla bla. Found some school for my kid and looking out for a rented house. Found traffic pathetic in that outer ring road. Guess I can't ride freely anytime from morning till night it seems. I have predicted a 10 kph moving speeds on peak time... oh my god....Will let you know soon.

Fuel evaporation?.... but I'm getting 32-34 or 35 max.Regularly 33/34 with mixed riding.Once tried running less than 55 kph from full tank till reserve and got amazingly 36.5 otherwise 37. That's the best

..... but never felt any smell of fuel evaporating...

thanks for detailed reply. it will help almost all of us to understand how carburetor works.
i had up jetted my HH Hunk and wanted to lower the needle. it was also of fixed type, so i trimmed the thick part for around 2mm to lower it. i don't have pics but found same thing done in sime thread at team bhp. pls let me know if this forum allows to share links of other forums.
same might be done in NS too, am not sure of it as i dint opend the carb yet in my one month of ownership.

it can be checked by detailed inspection of forks but one can not be 100% sure without opening it. you have to remove complete fork assembly to check it. but repairing/realigning with lathe doest not give 100% accuracy in most of the cases. better is to replace t stem with new. or as suggested earlier, if its not uncomfortable, dont change it.
