A second delay can let you behind just rip rip and rip it, plus point is ns goes upto 11.5k rpm because of non-fi whereas duke makes 10.5k rpm, thats a lot of difference. P.S. Your bike carburetor must be tuned for engine's optimum performance.
My friend with the cbr250r too says the same. Sometimes, I can't help but feel proud about my bike, though I know cbr is an overall better bike.

Sorry to read that bro! Hope you are getting better. How badly are you bruised?
About the footpeg and pedal, my svc quoted 1000 bucks for a friend but don't know the exact amount.

      Plain wrong.
NS's 0-100 time is slower than the duke and the duke's 0-100 time is slower than the CBR250.

Edit: currently NS out accelerates everything below the 200cc mark.(2strokes not included)

ligament injury and minor bruises.were the spares readily available?

CBR 250R's 0-60 kmph time is 2.7 sec while its 0-100 kmph time is 8.76 sec.
So regarding lap times , CBR250R is faster than the ns 200.

and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
          #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

I am face huge power loss in my 200ns which has clocked 5000km with 2nd service done around 3600kms on odo. Had taken bike to SVC and supervisor informed that gear-shaft has to be changed which is still out of stock. He also informed me that MANY MAJOR ISSUES HAS COME UP IN 200NS HENCE COMPANY HAS REDUCED PRODUCTION & ARE TRYING TO RECTIFY SAME & GET THE NEXT BATCH CLEARED BEFORE ITS TOO LATE. HE ALSO ADVISED ME TO GET RID OF MY BIKE & TAKE ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE THERE IS HUGE SCARCITY OF SPARES AS WELL AS PER THEIR INFO.

I am not sure how many here are facing power loss, below are my issues being faced since last 1500kms :
                  1) Pick-up has drastically come down (thinking twice before dragging against a p150, such bad is the pick-up loss)
                  2) Huge rattling coming from front end, clutch lever & handle
                  3) Vibrations has increased soo much that even pillion is complaining what's wrong with my bike (even I've rode as pillion & found same)
                  4) Gear lever has become very sticky - upon downshifting or upshifting gears are not engaging properly and most of the time gets struck
                  5) Without above issues, mileage comes hardly 30-35 kmpl
                  6) Shifting from 1st to 2nd has become a nightmare as it is taking 2-3 seconds time to find whether bike is in neutral or it is in 2nd gear

I am seriously considering to get rid of this bike because I also own a p220 dtsi for last 2 years with 27k on odo but never faced soo many issues that too within 5k on odo reading. 200NS owners from HYD please advice me seriously where to get these issues sorted out. I am very upset & getting nightmares even during daytime.

                  Best Regards.
Your concern is genuine. In my opinion, Bajaj does make a lot of bikes, and makes a lot of money...yet, the quality is often compromised. They need to go a long way to be able to manufacture a bike that is of a high/international standards.
Getting rid of the bike is a good idea before you are bogged down by a series of troubles.
This ownership thread has done 950 odd pages but the niggles are constantly being reported. I wish Bajaj had not attempted so hard to keep it 'sub 1 lakh' bike so that we would get some quality instead of the kind Bajaj has delivered in form of P200.

Well if you have noticed closely the problems are always reported by new users. Just because thread has crossed 950 pages & members are still sharing their problems makes My baby a bad bike
Yes BAJAJ don't make best quality bikes (I am a YAMAHA fan & will always will be). Kindly visit other threads & then post comment like that.
50% probs are of because of tuning( can happen to any bike in world, agreed BAJAJ must have taken care of but still no BIG DEAL). I have seen people complaining about FZ having bad gearbox & being rough in xbhp. I have a 3 year old FZ, it's gears are still smoother than my NS .
Dude please their is always a solution to every bike's prob, don't encourage him to sell the bike. He should first get it checked from a reputed SVC, if still he faces probs cuz of bike, I Will be glad to help him out in posting ads on quick, olx, etc

And I do agree on one thing they should have made the price tag a bit higher to accommodate the quality products. Still IN LOVE NS. 2800kms NO PROBLEMS AT ALL

No they weren't at the svc itself. They first told they would check their godown nearby and after that they told they'd contact one main svc in the city and if not available there too, they'd order it from pune and that would take a few days' time. I waited 20 days for a change of headlight windshield.

4950 to be exact. But I had a minor (read as major) fall while at 3700 kms on the odo and I wanted a thorough check-up to be done on the bike, along with the necessary replacements. So got the service done then itself.

+1. My bike puts a broad smile on my face whenever I ride her a bit hard.

+101 it's a bike worth over a lakh, which is not a small amount. The bike wouldn't have much resale value if sold with the aforesaid problems. Besides, the issues can be rectified if taken seriously.

I do my servicing at MGB Erragadda. Manager is a good guy (Ramesh). Ask them to provide Azar for servicing.

0-60 in 2.7 secs!!!! in dream I guess.... The average of the best mags in the country testing it using DGPS is 3.5 secs... This is the CBR with ABS...

0-100 stands at 8.9 secs.... on an average...

Meanwhile, Pulsar 200NS wins the bike of the year 2013 - Bike India and Zig wheels..... Proud moment really for we owners.... Even though missed out the prestigious IMOTY.... shouldve lost it by hardly any votes I guess!! lol
