Sorry to hear that ! They're not gonna cost much.. but availability of those parts might be the issue.
What caused the crash anyway ? Hard braking over gravel ?

The whole discussion about NS being a bad bike, hmm.. I feel that unlike other bikes 220f R15 etc. our NS is quite new & sort of an unproven machine. I still purchased it cause mera dil hi aa gaya tha ispe. Though everyday when I ride it the only thing comes to my mind is that I effing LOVE it. ! I've had few issues since past 3 months, nothing major & most of them can be resolved. lol I stare at my own bike when I park it in public places. it's just such a good looker. & rides like a monster. love it. That's why I never feel disappointed with my purchase no matter what.

& now.... I got a rear Tyre issue
see this guys, After riding I just spotted this little cut mark today.. should I get it checked ? Will this cause the tire to deflate sometime ? I don't know if this happened when I accidentally ran over a stone at high speed sometime ago. I had checked back then.. & there was no such mark on the entire rear tire. Thoughts ?

Well after few days you well get to know whether this will result in deflation of tyre or not anyways better get it checked by a TVS dealer as you need to go there for any warranty claim. You may get a new tyre all together, who knows try as much as you can

now problem is that they tuned ur afr... made it quite lean...when a person complains of low mileage first thing mechanics do tuning of afr to lean....lean mixture overheats engine, make bike loose power and also make it to vibrate a lot...in the nutshell will kill ur bike engine faster...but theoretically should give u awesome mileage....but many people are here getting same mileage in lean and rich settings, and in rich setting bike works very smoothly...though i prefer factory settings, i'm getting mileage above 40, and if i want i get around 46...

Whatever just go service, tell them ur this prob, if they dont listen to u, say u complained of low mileage earlier and did they adjusted afr (air fuel ratio), if they did ask them please make it normal as factory....

So now calm down, ur bike should work well after this...All the best...I hope u too become a happy user of this bike as me...Another calm mind helps u get things done easily...So stay calm till they try their best...if they dont, give them good piece of %^$^%. ...If nothing helps, don't forget Bajaj Customer care exists, call while at service centre, they will try to help u.

                          • dont know whats wrong but my engine is super rough nowadays and a very strange problem is that my engine speed has increased for the same vehicle speed.... it was earlier 62kmph at 4k rpm... now its 56-57kmph at 4k
it was at ditto 6k rpm at 90kmph and now at 90 its 6250rpm
it was 6650 rpm at 100kmph earlier and now its over 7k... what could be the goddamn issue? my engine had once been opened up on the clutch side, clutch and pressure plates washed thoroughly in kerosene and then re-fitted back using a new clutch side gasket.... need help asap...engine feels so strained at any speed... and my front brake to lost it's bite...its been like that from around 3k on the odo... pad still have life left and the brakes make a khash khash sound as if two metals are rubbing against each other when applied... brakes have become spongy with no feel whatsoever... tried everything possible i.e. cleaning pads and disc with disc cleaner, rubbing pads, bleeding the line and everything.... no improovement... please help... my brake disc was changed under under warranty once coz it was bent....
and i need to know the cost of the front brake pads for ns...is it different than 220?

It's the engine oil. Mixing is okay as far is the oils used are of the same grade. Now I've completely lost all faith on the dtsi oil. Who knows? They might have filled in one which was previously used for 7-8k kms on a platina or something! Not to scare you or anything. Saw my svc do that.
I enquired at bajaj about the oil filter and he said change interval is 10000 kms . My poor filter has already seen a wide range of oils and conditions but I think I'll let it be for now.
And of course, get the AFR tuned to richer. That should do away with the bad pickup and flat spots if any.

Maybe the clutch plates are gone, or not fitted properly when last removed for cleaning. And you got the brake bleeding done? What oil did you fill back in? Dot3, dot4 or some other? Made sure there were no air bubbles?
Btw how is it that yours used to run at 62 km/h at 4k rpm? Mine runs at 59 km/h at 4k, 6th gear. Is it the variation in speedo error or should I get my bike checked? And do any of the ktm owners too face this speedo error?

                              • Last week got my bike's second service done. Though it has barely crossed 2500 km but i still went for the service as on the user's manual both 2nd and 3rd service have to be done within 240 days of purchase and since i might not even cross 4500 km before 240 days i thought i will go the service and then 2months later will go for the third one.

Now my query is that after the service i hear a small humming sound from the chain. does it indicate an overtightened chain?

At delhi NS'ians. I did the first and second service from Okhala Dewan Bajaj workshop. The first one was ok but when i went for the second service the mechanic was in too much hurry to even take out the air filter and clean it. I had to tell him what all things to be done. There was another Duke whose front shockers required some repair, which i think he wanted to do it at the earliest. But overall the second service experience was not very satisfying. So for the third service i plan to go to Dewan Bajaj Dwarka from where i had bought the bike.

Another query, does anyone feel a slight surge in engine power after 4k rpm? I feel that as soon as my bike crosses the 4k mark it makes it starts getting all the power and it screams to be ridden harder. This applies on all gears
