  • Went for a quick spin on the Indore Sehore bypass in Bhopal. Touched the max speed of 130 (with pillion). Bike was performing pretty good enough. Was at an average speed of hundred almost all the time. A sick guy from nowhere cut into our lane from the opposite side. Was being accompanied by my friend on CBR. He stopped very effectively(thanks to abs). My bike almost hit his while stopping and I had to make a skid to avoid that. Locked the rear brake and turned sideways. The bike started wobbling after that and after a few seconds became stable on it's own. My guardian angel seems to be a pro! Was saved without even a scratch. Actually anyone got an idea about the physics behind this incident? Got anything to do with the reduction of torque when I left the accelerator?

I am happy to announce to you guys that, after ripping at 9kRPM at odo 500kms, and again began ripping it once I crossed 1000km, my bike is giving me 36kmpl(fair enough given that I drive like a hooligan, I love ripping my bike). The oil level is constant. Vibes are under control. Except some tuning problem, the bike is in good condition. Sturdy engine afterall.

Pretty good bike. No offence but I am a 'R15 Ego-Buster' now. They open their throttles and zoom past me and provocate me.... I blip the throttle and voila...! But R15 is still one fine bike! Hope it had a 200cc powerplant instead of the current 150cc.
I am curious about that 150 cc engine. The Malaysian spec is rated at 22 BHP. I wonder if there are people in India who know how to change the ECU settings to the Malaya Spec. I know someone who has done it on a R15 Verson 1.0. put some Dukes to shame on the Top speed front.

In such situation, i would just hit the front breaks as hard as I can and a little bit of rear breaks, and try and keep the bike absolutely straight. Locking tire is nightmare. That way bike loses traction and just skids. On top of it the Eurogrip tires are fond of skidding. If you hit rear break hard and rear tire skids, and at the same time your bike moves from straight line, it fishtails. But the amazing balancing of NS does help in controlling it.

ABS does not let the tire get locked and skid. Ideally one should let go of accelerator and should not pull clutch while breaking, as that reduces traction on rear tire and does not let you use engine breaking. But as the bike coming to stop, you got to pull the clutch or the bike would stall and give a hiccup which might make you lose balance.

In theory its easy but actually in the panic situation its v v hard to follow..I have had such experiences. Once while on highway @80kmph, suddenly a unmarked speedbreaker appeared. I could break very well just by using front break only. No damage done. But on other 3-4 occasions whenever I used rear breaks with front break everytime rear tire has locked and skidded.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Huge no. of Pics to Follow!

Gave the bike for 2nd service just After coming back from the trip.
but now facing a weird problem after the service!!

When the bike is cold the fuel Supply is not coming with MODERATE twist of the throttle.. Only when I am Revving the throttle up-wards of 5K RPM, then the fuel supply is OK.
The bikes starts to behave Normally when it is properly warmed up, i.e after 15-20 minutes of riding!!
Till then i have to keep the throttle upwards of 4-5 K RPM, in order to not let the Engine shut itself !!

Please help me out!! What the problem might be??

            • Hi Guys
This is my first post here in the owner's section.

I have completed 8900 kms on my NS and all three free services have been done. On the third service i didnt get my oil changed cause i was using Motul Semisyntheitc and didnt want the Bajaj one.

I want to know that since m planning to change my engine oil to fully synthtic now can i mix the two engine oils???
i have half a bottle of Motul Semisynthetic with me so will it be a good idea to mix the two types of engine oils??

I was once travelling on my friends pulsar 150
thanks to indian NH highways there was no marker on road for the speedbreaker
i was riding at 96 just observed it when it was just 40 metres away i just gave ahard press to rear break and slight press to front and raised a bit from my seat
when everything seemed to be under control i heard a screeching noise and its was from the rear tyre but as i was raised a bit high from my seat i was able to control my bike thanks to gravity .

You can mix but the grades should be same i.e. 20W50 SS can be mixed with 20W50 FS but 15W50 SS cannot be mixed with 20W50FS. use the full can of FS first and then top up the remainin 200ml with SS

Actually I was asking for an explanation for why the bike regained balance by itself.
