I feel you guys are so lucky to get 40+km/l .. I got such good mileage only during my run in period. But now I get 30-32km/ no matter how I ride. Today I found that the SVC mechanic made it more lean.. cause am now having minor start up issues unlike before. bike is barely idling at 1.1-1.2k rpm, earlier it was at 1.5k. also the low end pull is reduced to some extent. I get tired of this man. over n over again the AFR needs to be adjusted .. and if NS had full injection none of this horse.... would be needed.. would it ? Still Motul 5100 is making my ride so much better & I can feel the engine is loving it's new lubricant oil.

I can feel the sudden change. Never before felt hot air blowing on thighs, warm side panels and seat due to engine. Its happening since the day i gave the bike for rectifying some issue to SVC. They only ended up making more issues. And my bike's fan is working i know. I have checked it. But something is not right. I can feel its different that it used to be when i touch the engine to feel how hot it is. Infact now I dont even have to touch it, i can feel the heat even from a foot away. My engine never got so heated up even when ripped at 100+ cruise.Originally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostI used to feel the same. Even now, after 6650 kms on the odo, I haven't noticed the fan working even once. But after numerous long rides and continuous hard rip sessions, I noticed the bike would never overheat. After a cold start, it usually heats up pretty fast, hits a particular temperature and remains constant no matter what. So it's safe for me to assume the fan's working and I have nothing to worry about. If you've never noticed the engine overheat warning icon on the console, rest assured, the fan's working.
One design flaw which can be rectified in this bike is the position of the air filter. It would have been better with the filter below the front seat, like the 220. Now thanks to it's position below the tank, a considerable amount of heat reaches the filter from the engine right below and as a result hot air blows into the engine via the carb. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

I put this Castrol POWER1 Racing 4T
10W-50 Fully Synthetic
Trust me with in 1 Km i feel the difference
Smooth Gear shift
No issue if u take off < 2000Rpm
Engine sounds smooth
Got more power in every rpm (better then before)
Heat reduce (little bit )
Its great oil it cost me 850RS for 1.200ML
Better then motul 7100 ss and other (what i think :-) )

Suggest u 2 install the MRF Zapper Q
Suggest u 2 install the MRF Zapper Q @ d rear 130/70 best of both worlds, medium compound & best dry & wet grip & bike now is hugely Stable..
When finally decided this tyre is in huge demand , no where available in Delhi , had 2 go 34 kms @ badarpur in delhi only one piece available rest out of stock.
Revz s available every where , excellent grip , but Puncture or nail magnet.
My suggestion Zapper Q. Rest up 2 u.
bye

Hi All,
I switched to Motul 7100 20w50 after ~6000kms..the gears are butter smooth now..but i noticed that my bike now does not pull up as quickly as it used to when i used Bajaj DTSI oil. As if i need to open my throttle lil more than i used to to get the pull..also top speed seems to have reduced....is it because of putting in an FS oil at 6000 kms..do i need to revert back to the bajaj engine oil..pls reply..m worried

I think you're getting worried unnecessarily. Ever seen how much the ktm heats up? Besides, if you've felt the hot air on your thighs, especially the left thigh, it's because the radiator fan is removing the heat away from the hot coolant pretty effectively. Yes, even I feel the heat from a foot away but that's how it's supposed to be don't worry. But I'm not sure of the heat at the seat. If you still feel my post isn't satisfying enough, check if the coolant level is appropriate. Like I said, watch out for the engine overheat warning icon on the console.Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostI can feel the sudden change. I used that oil for quite a while and I must say, I was impressed. Not sure if it's better than motul but it's at par, provided you've found the genuine oilOriginally posted by vaibhav93 View PostI put this Castrol POWER1 Racing 4T

No, you've changed to the right oil at the right interval. Why do you feel the top end's reduced, doesn't the bike rev till 9000 rpm in 6th?Originally posted by Rahul990 View PostHi All,

i read that motul fs 7100 20w 50 reduce top end power to pulsar 200ns i have already brought 4 bottle currently using 30004t until 10k ity reduced the top speed from 144 to 136 on richer side of carb tunning if motul 7100 also reduce the power t bit confused

I like NS better with the tyre huger.. but at 2nd I wanted it to be removed just for a change.. but didn't do it. as discussed previously NS would look pretty cool without huger only if it had a wider rear tire... 130/70/17 just doesn't look all that stunning. But still can somebody tell which tool & it's size we need to remove it ourselves ?Originally posted by BS_Chauhan View PostWithout Rear Tyre Hugger ... I just got it removed looks awesome now
. Will get it fixed again during monsoon.

I just wanted to give a try by removing Rare Tyre Hugger it looks pretty cool eitherOriginally posted by broken87 View PostI like NS better with the tyre huger.. but at 2nd I wanted it to be removed just for a change.. but didn't do it. as discussed previously NS would look pretty cool without huger only if it had a wider rear tire... 130/70/17 just doesn't look all that stunning. Yeah as you said it would add up cream on a piece of cake with little more wider Tyre.
The Rare Tyre Hugger is fixed with two Hex socket screw, You will require Allen Wrench tool to remove it by your self, If you don't have one you can get this tool in any Hardware shop.Last edited by BS_Chauhan; 02-22-2013, 05:58 PM.
