An intense lower beam - 220's projectors does the justice here.. HID with projectors look good and thats it. 3. A reliable set-up - Fitting HID is no less than a headache if ballast / bulbs give up every now and then. Rs.3000 HID set-ups are nowhere close to be called reliable (Lucky are those guys for whom its running without a glitch)4. Battery health - 220's headlights are plug and play as far as wiring is concerned. Pass switch works fine - lights up only high beam . HID's will put un-necessary stress on wiring and dry battery. Moreover I have owned 220 before 200NS and always missed the headlights of 220's. They are simply amazing. Above, is my personal opinion and findings after comparing JC road HIDs and 220's reliable setup.
Alright brother. I didn't know about the quality of hids available for that money. But the guy on fb claims it's working perfectly. Yes, 220's headlights are amazing.

Bi Xenon isn't a company name, rather it's a type of HID accessory.

In Bi Xenon bulbs, the filament shield moves up and down as per the beam position. All of this occurs in the same bulb.
The shield on the bulb shifts to enable the high beams or to allow you to flash the high beams.

          • Hey guys,

Today I met with a small accident...again due to poor grip of the rear tires..I was going @50kmph and suddenly a sumo took left turn..i was on its left side. Had to break real hard. Applied both breaks. Again rear tire got locked and lost its grip..result..fishtailing..thank god I was mostly going straight..if the bike was not straight i would be sitting in hospital now probably..though the perfect balance body did help a lot but the badness of rear tire proved too bad again...

This is fourth time I fell, when I shouldn't have been, just because of the tires..I have had panic breaking incidents twoce on highway..once it was at almost 80kmph..but I had used only front break that time. there was only a speed breaker that time so it was not a life-or-death situation. But bike never even leaned...its just when the rear tire skids, shit happens..

I don't want to get into serious trouble. I have lost all the confidence over the tire grip now..desperately need a tire change..I have repeatedly asked for suggestions to SVC but they simply have no answer...all they say is, one shouldn't use rear break only...

please suggest a good tire..Whoever have changed rear tires, please give reviews...I have heard bad review from a colleague about MRF revz..I don't want to have this tire issue again...and life is priceless as compared to any tire...

Pirreli has four options in Sportz Demon:
            130/70-17 M/C TL 62 H SPORTD
            130/80-17 M/C TL 65H (M) SPORTD
            140/70-17 M/C TL 66 SPORTD

            150/70-17 M/C TL 69V SPORTD

Ninja had the 1st one of these as its rear tyre if i m not wrong.

I noticed 1-2 yamaha bikes (the fzs i think) have a thick rear tire, with threading of the shape of greek letter "pi"...i think its 150/60 tire if i am guessing it correctly. Internet search shows METZELER Sportec M5 Interact has such threading. Anyone has any idea??

Also can the 200NS have 140 or 150 tyres without modifying other parts like sprocket??

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

                • Hi all. Got my NS delivered 2 days back - in blue colour. Done 140km yet, and touched 105 in 6th gear once (is it ok to do to, every 100-200km or so?). I would be glad if someone could explain to me the best way to complete the run-in. Thanks in advance.

105 in 6th already ??? Omg you have completely screwed up your engine now, no way to fix it

                    Joke

Congrats on ur bike. Ride safe & don't trust those tires too much. also there is not much to explain about "run in". Just keep it around 50-60km/h(no engine lugging).. with few bursts of greater speed. Let the oil circulate for atleast a minute when you begin riding after long intervals. It's gonna be very tempting to ride it hard when you see an empty road, but keep it below 6k rpm. Also switch to Motul mineral oil may be?

PS: I second "broken87" about tyres...dont trust the tyres, especially the rear one.. If you want to change your tyres, this is the right time. You will get decent money for new stock tyres...

                      • I did my second servicing at 4700 km. Now it is 6700 km on odo. I want to change engine oil. Preferably motul. But i want to know which motul will be best now.

                          Haha.
Okay.. I do let it idle for a minute or two but that's only on the first start of the day. Will do that before each start now. And I guess 6k rpm in 6th gear would be quite a bit more than 60kmph?
About the oil, shouldn't I wait to 4-5k km before switching to some other brand/type of oil. We have an RTR180 which has done 20k km yet, and I use 15w50 motul 5100 with that and I'm happy with it. I know these engines differ a lot but how would 5100 fare with the NS?

Well... I come from TVS tyres so this already is an upgrade for me and I'm pretty happy with the grip. Maybe after a few thousand km..

Thanks for your replies, checking the link now

Edit: I was planning a 300km ride this Sunday, seems like a bad idea after reading the blog post. Does it? How about a 150km one instead?

                          • MRF Zapper Q

                            Hi Nilesh,

Exactly the same with me in July last year & Minor Injuries in both hand & legs & slight damage to d bike.

Bajaj will never change these tyres , Just 2 keep d cost in check.

I have installed MRF Zapper Q @ d rear 130/70 best of both worlds, medium compound & best dry & wet grip.

When finally decided this tyre is in huge demand , no where available in Delhi , had 2 go 34 kms @ badarpur in delhi only one piece available rest out of stock.

Revz s available every where , excellent grip , but Puncture or nail magnet.

My suggestion Zapper Q. Rest up 2 u.

                            bye
