PLEASE DO NOT USE WD-40 AS A CHAIN LUBE!!! USE ONLY AS A CHAIN CLEANER

For polish and wax please refer the motorcycle detailing thread in universal thred section..u will get tons of reviews and info there on what are wax and what is polish and what are available in market at what price and all sorts of stuff

For chain first u need to understand that chain should be lubed frequently and it should be cleaned when it gets dirty and then lubed

For cleaning chain use kerosene or diesel...u can even use WD-40...however some people feel that wd-40 is unsafe for o-rings...choice is yours
however what ever cleaner u use please be sure its o-ring safe and after cleaning...the cleaning agent should not be stuck on the chain...eg if u use kerosene...ensure u remove all the kerosene after cleaning the chain

Motul chain cleaner is also available in the market for cleaning chain

For chain lubing use an o-ring safe chain spray
u get a bajaj OKS spray at the spares section of ur SVc at 164 bucks for a 100ml bottle

Motul chain spray costs 550 something for a 400ml bottle

there is also some TVS TRU chain spray no idea about cost and content

          • Hello friends,

Ever since my fall last weekend, there is something wrong with the handle. The right handle is slightly closer to the body than the left one. Actually, it was there in the beginning itself. But after the fall it is more evident. I did take my bike to the service to get everything checked. They said its fine. But clearly its not.
Not only that when I turn the handle to the left there is a gap between the left fairing and the left fork I can place my little finger in the gap. But when I turn it to the right the right fork is almost touching the fairing. I hope the you understand this. I don't know how to put it in words.
Is it a misalignment or is there a problem with the handle or the forks itself. How do I find out?

The impact of the fall was absorbed by the right side handle and the crash guard.

Go to SVC and show it to them...still if they dont do anything about it then click pictures supporting ur facts and mail them to bajaj...that should do the trick and SVC will call u and act nice and do ur work.

btw do u feel any difference in handling..is the handle bar bend visible? u could simply change the handle...costs some 400bucks

i have motul chain cleaner (Rs 450).. it's a magic spray dude. get it & just spray it over the chain, clean it a towel, spray again & clean 2nd time for a better finish. you could also use diesel or kerosine.
then use TVS chain lube, somebody here on xbhp recommended it to others & it's really a value for money spray it seems... costs around 300 bucks & you get a big bottle (500ml) of
good chain lube. it's gonna very long. don't go for bajaj oks chain lube, it costs 160 rupees & you get a small bottle which empties real fast.
also get a socket spanner to open the front sprocket cover & clean the front sprocket too, you're gonna find a lot dust grease there.

yourf HID is same kind the bike electrician was talking about today, he was already fitting it on a RTR180. He turned it ON on RTR though it wasn't glowing at it's brightest instantly.. he said as it heats up the brightness also increases ?

anyone knows where to buy Motul decals Online ? or something cool ? I can't find it locally.. no Motul decals anywhere.

Well i have taken it to 7k quite a few times during the first 1000 km of course but i meant if i could start ripping at will now

Mine is also not a bi-xenon. Xenon bulb for high beam & Halogen for low beam

But I am not using it now, even doesn't had fitted on NS
It is from my old bike (Unicorn) & because of non UV filter model , I had to change reflector average twice in a year.....
So I will not recommend that type of HIDs

I had purchased it from a local shop @ 700.00 , three years ago, without warranty.
& with 6 months warranty it will cost 1100-1200
I wish if I am the only rider in roads !!!!!
So I can red line my bike all the time

                          Hi Mayank,
Thanks for the response. There is a slight difference in handling the bike. It feels odd when riding it. I have to extend the left hand and the right hand a little back.
The difference is not much but it is not correct. No visible bend.
I am taking my bike again to svc on Monday and give them a piece of my mind. I have to travel 30 kms one way.
And the svc in a area where there is no public transport. Anyways, I have to do it. I just hope it will be fixed.

Does the handle pulls toward one side while riding?
If yes, its defintly due to handle tee. You'll have to change tht and forks evn when bent are not easily visible.
If no, and the fork touching problem is only affecting while on stand-still, then the problem is due to a bend in lock sort of a thing. See from the upper part of the handle through the gap between the console and oil tank all the way to the forks. Move ur handle left and right and u'll see there is a lock sort of a thing tht stops the handle from going to the extreme either way. sort of controls upto what angle the handle moves so as to avoid touching the faring/oil tank. now tht rod of sort thing is probably bent. and its welded to the main body frame so can't be replaced. So the only thing u can do is remove the head unit and get a hammer and try to straighten that pin/rod or whatever. Do it in the SVC and u better be monitering it.
Same thng happened to me but on the left hand side.
Sorry for not being able to express properly. hope u got something of what i wanted to convey.

I have to extend my left hand a little and my right hand a little to go straight.
I will check the stopper on the right side. To be frank, the stopper never even crossed my mind. Thanks so much the advise. I will definitely check the stopper too.
I have already spent a lot on the NS. Its made the hole in my pocket a little more bigger!
