  • Today finally, I got the disc plate replaced under warranty.

I gave it to the third service yesterday and I again asked the mechanic to check the front disc. The mechanic confirmed it was a disc bend. I asked him why the problem repeated and why was it not correctly identified during all those visits. All they did was clean the disc pads and put them back. They also once replaced the disc pads.

I was very angry and asked the service centre manager about the problem not being identified correctly before, and he responded rudely saying that I might have hit something or so and it will not be covered under warranty. then I said I will put a mail to bajaj and will decide on the response. He was so rude that he said no matter whom I approach, I will not get any warranty.

So, I sent a mail of the problem since the time that intermittent squeaking sound started and the jobs done that I paid for. And today, I went to buy the new disc and get it changed. While the disc was being changed, somebody from the manager's office asked for me as somebody recognized me and told him that I was the one who mailed. later, he had the mechanic confirm the disc bend again and authorized a refund of the amount.

I was happy that atleast a mail got the response. But, what I am disappointed in is that I had to go so far as to threaten I might have to pursue the problem through a consumer forum.

Now, the bike feels as it should and I am really enjoying it again.

For the people who have the same problem, go ahead and ask for warranty.

I've got a side stand but I'll figure something out to get the rear wheel off the ground. Do I just spray the chain as well as I can.. or is it better to clean it first ? like with a toothbrush & kerosine. The guy at pro biking showroom said you can just lubricate the chain as the bike is quite new. but if you wish clean also then you can use a tootbrush & mix of kerosine 1 other oil (couldn't catch name) . Few vids on YT demonstrate how to clean & lube the chain. just looking for suggestions. thanks
I don't think water will remove or wash off the lubricant...atleast it will wash off all the dirt & mud...i have not faced any problems with the chain yet..i believe washing your bike reguarly is a healthy habbit & good for the bike...i also do chain lubing when required..docorrect me if i'm wrong.

                • thats hugger right? or hunger?

i'm making a google spread sheet for 200NS so we can all use it incase some accident happens

could you explain bracket rear blinker and lamp tail assembly(is it the rear brake light assembly?)

and seat cowl is the whole plastic tail section right?

and each part mentioned is with sales tax or without?
                  i suppose without...

                    • Hiiii

This is my 1st ever post here !! i got my bike on 18th oct (Bubmlebee :P)

                      had first service at 500km

changed oil at 100km to moutl semi synthetic oil and then to bajaj oil at 500 km

is it ok? or should i again replace it with moutl ?

and they charged me 450 bucks for oil chage only no oil filter change
is it necessary to change the oil filter at 1st service ?

Rear disc is also making some noise for which they say " Ye to sab ns ke liye common hai "
                      what to do ?

Change oil filters every time you change your oil. Its a kind of must to do after the first service.
I dont know if they normally dont do for 200NS, but for other models they normally do it.
Anyway leave it for now & make sure you change from next time onwards.

Yeah it's common. I had a horrible sound in the beginning. Over time it just vanished. The disc and the brake pads need running in too.

@all, any ideas why there's a sudden surge of power and a total change in the bike's character above 7k rpm?

i dont think u should change the filter at every oil change...yes at first service it is fine...but not at every oil change...unless u are following bajaj procedure and changing oil every 10K kms

i guess every 10k kms is fine..or if u wish..every alternate oil change...the max debris comes out of engine during running in so change filter every service...after that every alternate oil change

thats just the characterisic of the bike...well thats what everyone says..i am yet to even cross 5K rpm....damn...too less daily commute and the never ending running in...
