Finally, the mystery of the oily spark plug threads has been solved!
Its just condensed oil deposits like deduced.. I had a hunch and i opened up my spark plugs right after i came back from a small ride.. I figured that if it is condensing oil, there wont be any if i open it up when the engines hot. And viola! no oil condensate!!

Check this post. Now we have option to put Duke 200 sprocket kit.

Whoever was using 13t sprocket of karizma to under gear can try this from now.

I hope rear sprocket mountings are at same location.

So finally I've arrived at the conclusion that the oil deposit on spark plug thread is a common characteristic of the 200NS engine. Many people got back to me saying that they found the exact same observation as I did - oily left plug and clean right plug (now this is assuming that the mechanic did NOT apply oil on the thread to screw it in, in the first place).

Now even though this is not a worrying matter anymore, what could the reason for it be? Could it be one of the following?

Synthetic oil is overkill for this engine.

            Or

It's something to do with the bike being placed on side stand and leaned to the left over a few hours so oil trickles down to the left from the head.

            Or

The fact that 4 stroke IC engines normally consume a little engine oil and the NS engine consumes a little more.

            Or

The burnt fumes that blow past the piston rings into the oil chamber during the combustion cycle get recycled through the PCV system, whereby the fumes along with a small quantity of vaporised oil at high temperatures get pumped back to the intake to be mixed with fresh charge. This vaporised oil might enter the combustion chamber again and might settle on the spark plugs. But why left plug only? Perhaps something to do with the way the flamefront propagates in the cylinder as a direct result of the firing order of the plugs. For example if the right plug fires a split millisecond before the others, the charge bursts into combustion, pushing everything away (including vaporised oil) from this plug and the momentum is good enough to make it deposit on the others. Oh did i ever mention? There was oil on the main plug too.

            Or

Bad quality valve seals or guides? This cant be because the engine is a gem, a high revving reliable engine which was designed and tested to stay rock solid at 11k rpm. A flimsy engine wont survive saddlesores, 1000 km days and high altitude runs in a variety of temperatures.

Anyone else curious to find out the story inside their engine may open the plugs at home and see.

Had checked my plug some weeks back. I checked after bike was kept off for 1-2 hours after riding for 12kms.

My bike odo is at 20k and it's august 2012 model.

Right plug had no oil deposits, left plug had deposits. And the main plug had more oil deposits. I use motul 7100.

I have attached main plug pic. Forgot to take pics of other plugs.

            Hope this helps.

I thought Indonesian 200NS had "Kawasaki" written instead of the Bajaj logo.

Ooh, yeah they may have used this console to save double designing practices (one for India, other for export) .yes Indonesia one has Kawasaki sign in console.
I'm terribly bored with the power of bike only after 4000kms. Mind you that this is my first bike, and now I don't enjoy the power like I used to do earlier, even shifting precisely at 8.5k rpm and reaching triple digits in less than double digit seconds, I feel like I'm on a activa, that pull, that scary torque, it has now incorporated in my mind,it ain't fault of bike, But of human nature, sadly no upgrades till 3-4 years, but thank God I didn't bought a rtr, r15 or even 220.

I remember contacting them, the price quoted was too much for a visor.

Maybe the console change had nothing to do with the dual tone versions release time.
