you changed your sprocket kit on warranty? As in they replaced it for free?

The cornering on NS with a pillion behind is a piece of cake..
boy oh boy I tasted the confidence of NS for the first time!! It's awesome

Regarding trip. Rest every 30 km for 10 to 15 min to cool the engine. Dont ride at constant speed. This will take care of bike.

Couldn't get the oil changed. The SVC ppl said bajaj oil is out of stock with them and din have a 20w50 of any other brand. So I came back and continued with the trip.

Travelled at 4500 RPM constantly.. Accelerated to 6k in short bursts for like 30-40 sec and back to 4k, stopping for 10-15 min every hour.

It turned out to be 180km trip on total

          Hope I did nothing wrong?

And the brake sound is haunting me, that metal rubbing sound is appearing and disappearing randomly...

Got my bike new michelin tyres. Pilot street radials, 110/70 for front and 140/70 for back. Couldn't find other sizes than those. Got the Eurogrip exchanged, for rs 2000 (850 KMs run in). After the discount, the new pair costed me rs 6800. Got them from master Tyres in karol bagh, Delhi. Made many enquiries to shops in delhi and gurgaon, but no one seems to stock the michelin pilot street radial at all.

The bike feels considerably heavier, but the confidence with the new rubber has shot through the sky. Can any suggest ideal tyre pressure for these sizes? Thanks!

Yes, we've had a conversation earlier in the thread. All the michelin talk in this thread helped in the decision.

He he. I forgot. Been preoccupied lately.

As for the pressure, the company recommended figures can be adhered to.

Those who had never ever ridden a pulsar except Ns the way they ride their Ns PLEASE BEWARE ...!!!!
JUST scratched my left toe very deep while taking a normal turn at normal speeds at a normal street on pulsar 180 .
My god still hurts like hell
Speeds were like 15-20 kph still scratched my toe.
That's another point to keep in mind while riding bikes which aren't supposed for cornering.

I don't know what's my lean angle .ns is the first bike I've got and rode for 4000kms .never have ridden any fz fazer p220 etc etc.
Only have ridden three bikes in my life yet.
1 pulsar 150-for 5kms to learn how to ride.
                          2.Apache 180- 500ms for a test drive
                          3.200ns -4000kms till now.
And sorry yeah 180 for like 2kms in local market
So as you may see I've no set standards for like howuch to lean or how to tackle corners with respect yo bike .I've natural instincts of riding cornering braking of that of 200ns.
                          Was wearing slippers
On first turning left the tip of slippers just literally wore down . thought that it must be due to some mistake. Then again on second right my right slippers badly touched the road. Then positioned both my legs firmly .on next left turn toe scratched
Road pretty badly. I guess that's due to low height of 180 not meant for taking corners like I usually do on my ns.
One more thing if you ride ns and 180 sanely then up to speeds of 50kmhr there is hardly any noticeable diffrence between both bikes pulling Capacity real turndown starts on 180 when you cross 60kmhr speed. Also the way I ride my ns if I do that to p180 its engine will surely sieze in a month .initially I went to bajaj showroom to book a p180 last year and had not heard seen a ns but while making a booking saw a red ns and instantly wrote in booking slip -> bike -pulsar 200ns

Yeah the height of pulsar 150 180 220 and 200 ns are little but they make quite a good difference. Well if u see riders of pulsar 200 ns tend to keep the balls of the feet due to the gear and brakes and good amount ground clearance.Well I have noticed that. Whereas riders of pulsar 180 do not or rarely do it in normal riding position(I did'nt on my 220 as my feet are large and due to the low ground clearance except while cornering). Your natural instinct of riding 200 ns made you ride the 180 like that. And you scratched your toe. But when cornering it is really advised to keep the balls of the feet on the foot pegs.

I wasn't cornering friend. I was just taking a left/right turn normally like we do on scooty etc .full sanely with just to take a turn ,not to enjoy cornering.if I had intentions of pure cornering on 180 ,I'm sure a leg fracture along with minor injuries on left side body+bike left leg guard would've damaged surely.
Being said that ,180 is surely also a great bike but I don't think why would anyone buy it when ns costs only 20k more and provides better mileage and similar maintenance costs.
If my next bike isn't a Kawasaki/ducati it will BE BAJAJ ONLY. not Honda ,Yamaha ,tvs etc

I know you were'nt cornering. You positioned your foot on the 180 like how you normally do on the 200 NS. And taking a turn with your foot positioned like that caused you an injury. Earlier there were no 200 NS. So 180 gained popularity as a premium bike for bikers who wanted power and beauty with less amount of money to spare. So people buy the 180 more. And most people are not comfortable with the height of the NS. Bikers who have knowledge and who know what the NS is capable of truly know the difference between old gen pulsars with the 200 NS. As in the case of myself I rode a 220 earlier and purchased the NS 1.5 months ago . I am truly amazed by the refinement of engine build quality and other technological advances of the NS.
