You have three alternatives.Originally posted by sauravdyakuza View PostOh. Do u mean that I have to open the whole visor? Or just the side covers of the headlight. Can u please give some pics of which thing to open in order to make it clear? Would be a great help.

1. Highly recommended.
Go to svc, get it removed.
Labour cost- 50-150₹ depending on YOUR svc' s greed.
2. Wire method- 99% won't work.
3. Vaccum method- have a vacuum hose of extremely small dis that can fit On the hole of pilot bulb housing. May work.
4. Don't fix it if it ain't broke method.
Don't care for pilot lamp. Install a new one.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Dude the bulb is not inside the socket. My bro tried pulling the wire from behind and the bulb got out of the socket and was stuck to the hole. When he tried to grab hold of the bulb the bulb went inside the hole on to the parking headlight . Now when I hit bike in potholes rattling sound occurs from inside the parking bulb area.Originally posted by khalsayash View PostMate.... trust me just try pulling out the wire behind the socket.... n I hope we are talking abt the 2 parking bulbs here... lol...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
bro same happened with me ..Originally posted by sauravdyakuza View PostReally pissed. My little bro took the bike for a ride today I was ok as he rides quite good. I told him to get the keys as I was sleeping. But something smelled fishy. He took all my blue LED parking light bulbs around 4 of them from my drawer to get them fitted on the bike. When he came back he showed me what he did with those bulbs. Looked cool but I asked him to open it immediately and fit the regular bulbs. As he was pulling out the socket the LED got stuck and when he tried to get the bulb by his fingers the bulb went inside the bulb housing(attached a pic. The blue thing shining hazily is the bulb). I currently might murder my bro :banghead:

. So please help me regarding this. How do I get the bulb out? Do I have to open up the whole fairing or what. Please help.

remove the headlight .. and then keeping the bulb housing facing towards the ground shake the headlight vigorously the blub will come out !! try shaking it in different directions it will come out eventually ..

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
What happened with you has happened with me and many other NS'ians. But don't worry, taking out that little piece of crap LED (i hate em now!.. stock halogen looks best) from the bulb housing is very easy. I suggest you not to waste time figuring out how to do it youself.. that if you really aren't experienced with DIY stuff. Just take it to SVC next time, you will be hardly charged 50-100 labour for this and will take just a few minutes to fix it.Originally posted by sauravdyakuza View PostReally pissed. Remember to tell the mechanic to make sure everything in the Headlight assembly is then fixed properly.. or else you may get some really annoying sounds from the headlight part. and any little scratches on glass surface are avoided

Obviously you have never had to open a P220 headlight housing before. Took me a whole day to do it the first time I tried. That was when I first fitted an HID on my bike. Sigh, I miss that brilliant headlight, best headlight on an Indian bike. of course, once I got used to it, it just took me a little bit over an hour.
And of course, I also encountered the same situation as you, a bulb stuck inside the pilot light housing. So compared to the P220 fairing, the 200 NS's tiny fairing is fairly simple.
What I'm trying to infer here is that, you can take the help of a friend who is used to this sort of stuff to take apart the headlight if you are not used to this stuff. You don't even need to shake it vigorously to take out the stuck bulb, just lightly rock the headlight assembly with the hole facing downward once you got it off the mounting.

I rode a 220 earlier. Really the headlight of the 220 is really a pain to open. I know that. Pulsar 200 NS handling
Hi Friends,
My Pulsar NS is just a month old. I had rear disc noise since the day one. After multiple attempts I finally got the issue kinda resolved by changing the entire rear disc assembly.
But there is something that is giving me trouble now. The bike seem to bubble a bit while on the go. Also I feel that this bike gets starts to dis balance with a small gust of wind. I wish I could describe it in a much better way. I somehow feel the balance of the bike has some issues with the balance. Though it is quite negligible but I don't feel confident while riding.
I rode Karizma and Yamaha FZs before this bike and was very happy with the balance and handling of these bikes.
What do you have to say on this? Is it something with the bike or just my mind?
Regards,
Munna Payeng

Is it buyable with whole headlight unit or is the projector bought individually and then fixed into to the headlight. If there are both options what are the costs?? Is it importable?? I am living in srilanka. Ns was launched last year like mid september. So any modifications arent available yet. Is possible to come there and buy the things!! Please help thanks in advance!! :-)

"Strange" ???Originally posted by Lone wolf View PostI had my rear running until 22k kms and the front is still stock.
Just 53 kms short of 24kms.
Had changed the rear to TVS ATT 230.
I believe even the newer P220 are getting eurogrip as stock.
That wearing out in before 10k kms is strange!!!

I used to change my previous bike's tiers between 14-16K (Back) & 16-18K (Front)
it was Unicorn. & always used MRF Zapper tires.
I had been used unicorn about 8-9 years
Tire wearing based upon its manufacturing compound & riding habit.
MRF Zapper tires are medium compound but, my riding style is the "villain".
Why wait???Originally posted by nikhilaatreya View PostHey guys,I have done around 8.5k in my ns...recently I have encountered a problem with my rpm meter needle.. It moves very shakily as if its being opposed by something...does any one know what the problem might be....,

) .
And you're mostly welcome. Please do visit India if you hadn't once.
Yes I will suggest buying things from India and taking them back to Sri Lanka.
As per me, list of things you should/May get from India and take it to SL.
1. Motul 5100 15w50 engine oil. If it isn't available in Lanka or costs a lot, THIS IS A MUST BUY THING . Get yourself 5 bottles of motul engine oil.
2. Engine oil filter.
In India, it costs only 74₹, around 1.15$ . So if it's costly in Lanka, you can get them from India too as much as you can carry.
3. Dual horns.
The horn of 200Ns is Total waste. Above 60kmph speeds, you can hardly listen it.
Suggestion- Buy a Roots horn or some louder pair of horn First thing.
4.Good helmet.
If again, it costs more in Lanka.
You can buy MT helmets, they costs around 3500-4000₹ .YOU SHOULD HAVE A GOOD HELMET TO COMPLEMENT THE BIKE'S POWER.safety's first.
5.Hid costs around 2000₹ with projectors. Remember to have a demo of pair of hid you're buying IN NIGHT ,NOT IN DAY.
6. Tank pad.
To prevent scratches on tank.
7.bike cover.
8.LED pilot lamp.
9.Adjustable clutch and brake levers.
10.CHAIN SPRAY (ITS MUST) .
I prefer TVS tru chain spray. Costs 385₹ per half litre. Cheapest value for money.
Rest possibilities are endless. But these are simple yet efficient mods for 200ns.
