Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Yeah it does sway alot.. The reason being I believe is because of round profile tryes.. Flat profile tyres dont have that prb... I also had this prb tried and tested on diff bikes ( hunk, cbz, fzs, splendour :-P ) all with stock tyres n size... Its like undulation tend to lessen the contact area on round profile tyres which causes bike to sway... Doesnt happen on a flat profile tyre.. Sways alot more in increase of speed ..Originally posted by pulak.bhatnagar View PostExperiencing some swaying issues on the bike. It's not wind related, but tyre related I believe. Happened with my Eurogrip and happening with michelin as well. The tyres seem to sway the bike with the undulations on the road. It's not cross winds related, experiencing at slow as well as fast speed. Anybody got any clue what it may be? I thought its tyre pressure related, but I've tried tyre pressures that company recommends as well as higher tyre pressure, but same response from the tyres. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It's just the law of physics at play & nothing more (in a well-balanced bike). Happens because of the differences in tyre sizes / profiles from front to rear - when taken into account as to how the bike approaches a particular undulation. This usually happens when the height difference in road surface, is in line with the direction of motion of the bike (as in the crack of a road that is parallel to the direction of motion) & not transverse (as in a speed breaker).Originally posted by vivek7593 View PostYeah it does sway alot.. This sway doesn't happen when both the tires have negotiated the undulation equally, i.e., at the point where it makes road contact. If the contact is unequal, i.e., when the front tire has skipped the rut & the rear treads over at an off-center axis, the bike is pushed from its equilibrium point, to one where the tire is back in full central contact, thereby, re-establishing equilibrium.
You'll feel a similar correction, when you try riding over a slope at the kerb of a road, to avoid a speed-breaker - the bike is pushed back to equilibrium, where it feels in-balance.
It may also occur in bikes, where the frame / chassis has taken a hit & is askew - here the tires don't make the central contact with the road properly.Live life, a quarter-mile at a time!

Hey dont risk it,buy from a store . No one will sell 2 day used tyres , they will just return to show owner for somewhat less amount . Pay a 1000 rs extra and buy from store and save yourself 4000 loss at the expense of 1000 extra . or maybe tell him you will pay the money after 2 weeks of testing the tyres, if there is no fault truly he will agree /

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Don't change the size. Keep the size same as stock. Pirelli are more premium than michelin so they are less available. michelin is also good.Originally posted by abbbysal View Postthanx pratik...can u plz let me know d preferable tyres among ceat Michelin and pirelli...I asked in many shops bt no one has pirelli..got one wid a apsect ratio of 140/80 bt I dont want to change d size of d tyres as it wud increase d height of seat...I m 5.4". sooo.....!!!

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Just returned from the service Center (Khivraj Motors. Kasturba Road) after completing my final and 3rd free service. Total cost of bill was 260 for consumables and battery maintenance.
Also, i had bought engine oil from outside as i had agreed with the service engineer and the mechanic who worked on my bike.
Used Motul 5100 15w50 for this time
Total cost
--------------------------
Motul 5100 15w50x2 =1100
Oil filter =74
Oil filter O-ring =10
Engine feels smooth as of now, need to check tomorrow morning as the weather tends to be quite warm here @ Bangalore.
Also, had requested the mechanic to fix a small seepage of engine oil above right side spark plug and this job has been done properly.
Thank you Khivraj Motors.
