guys it wud sound silly; bt can any1 try putting bike on rear stand and jst idle in 1st gear...I was doin it while lubing chain by spray and saw a weird thing..the rotation of the rear wheel is not smooth..it gets in a little pausing in between...but if I race sumwat the rear wheel rotates normally. is it normal to have such rotations..this thing happens only wen I am not accelerating.

one more thing, on my 1st service svc mechanic applied a thick black grease like oil to whole chain. wen I told him dat I already have a lube spray in home, he said it wud go wen washing vehicle and den apply chain spray...that oil/grease watever it is....is all over my rim, chain, front chain cover, main stand..now I want to apply chain spray bt the previous oil is very sticky..how can I remove that oil before application or can I directly apply chain spray...its not getting removed by wash...also I had to apply kerosene for removing it from d rim coz it was too sticky to remove by any other means

The pausing movement is fine because you are idling.

For removing the grease use some kerosene or diesel and soak for few minutes. Use a tooth brush if you need. I just use some tap water with force

What could be done about it now?

Guys my bike has done about 1900 kms and its time for 2nd service.. I live in nepal and here's only one place where I can buy motul.. but only 7100 is in stock.. 5100 can be ordered but it will take about 20 days .. so can 7100 be used at 1900 kms ? Is it safe ? As an alternative which oil can be used (except 20w50 bajaj oil) .. please reply as per your experience or some users experience which u have read else where.. I read some hundred pages back that petronas oil fared well on our ns.. which is that? If you have some idea about that then some help would be appreciated ..

Also, i had bought engine oil from outside as i had agreed with the service engineer and the mechanic who worked on my bike.
Used Motul 5100 15w50 for this time
Total cost
--------------------------

Motul 5100 15w50x2 =1100
Oil filter =74
Oil filter O-ring =10

Engine feels smooth as of now, need to check tomorrow morning as the weather tends to be quite warm here @ Bangalore.

Also, had requested the mechanic to fix a small seepage of engine oil above right side spark plug and this job has been done properly.
Thank you Khivraj Motors.

OK guys, update on the performance of the Motul 5100 engine oil.

rode the bike for close to 50 kms today in bumper to bumper and some open stretches, and i feel the bike engine has become very silent and smooth.
Also, gear shifts are very precise and Honda like clicks. so far happy with the performance of the engine oil. also noticed that the idling rpm has now increased to 1600 rpm when engine warms up (earlier around 1300-1400 rpm) which i presume is because of the oil change from Motul 3000 15w50 to Motul 5100 15w50 which is a lot better than the mineral 3000 i used all this days up until the 3rd free service yesterday
Also, there is a kind of krrrrrr noise around the front console and tank area which i am not sure of . The noise is there only when i increase the rpm above 3750-4000 Any suggestions are welcome.

Petronas is a hard to find engine oil even here in Delhi NCR. Try searching at your place but it's most likely to be unavailable there. It was reported by @Rahulbarik to be a perfectly balanced oil for our 200NS, letting engine rev freely while providing superb lubrication. I wanted it but couldn't find it here as I said.
Now will be switching to 7100 from 5100 at 13k+ on the ODO. About your 1900 Kms old bike, there is no harm in using 7100 as early as this. Bajaj oil is said to be crap but it actually works well only for 1500+ kms. 7100 can be safely used for 4000+ Kms.. advised for long riding habits.

shreezan 7100 is fully synthetic. From what I understood it's better you use it only after 5000km. Not mandatory but mineral oil serves better as long as the set up in cylinder head is set in for life. ( I mean the piston, rings and bore) you can shift to a semi synthetic for now which is why 5100 is suggested.

And there is no fixed distance limit to start using a synthetic oil.. 2000km, 5000km are all just thumb rules to stay safe..

You can try castrol or shell semi synthetic oils.. Just check the grade.

Correctly pointed out about bajaj oil they are good till 1000kms under occasional riping. Then it degrades very fast and after 1500 kms it feels as its eating the engine and gearbox. Personaly I felt this.

Now i am running on motul 7100 and the bike feels much better at the top end. And the beauty is, even after riping, when revs drop below 5k rpm, the engine sounds smooth.

Go for semi synthetic one before using fully synthetic. For our day to day city ride semi synthetic serves best.4 days ago i think i saw petronas engine oil in teku road but petronas oil is thinner than what 200 NS required so if you're using it than go for petronas 4T sprinta 4000 (Semi synthetic) SAE 10W40 b'cuz many user are unsatisfied with sprinta 5000 fully synthetic (as per internet rumour).

Do you know 200NS requires engine oil with 20W50/15W50 viscosity. 10W40 isn't good for NS.
