Newer batch 200NSs feels more refined than my 2 year old babe. They make more low end torque. But is it just me or is the new bike heavier than the older ones? I felt moving the bike around (like reversing the bike out of roadside parking or putting the bike on center stand) required more effort on the new one. Petrol level was near reserve on both bikes so that possibility is ruled out.

            @Harsh Rider
Yes you need an entry pass for this event, your local service center may give it to you. I suggest you instead send a membership request to Naked Wolves Delhi & NCR Facebook page, will be approved within hours by our admin. Be sure to attach a picture of you and your bike. And then, you can join in our group gathering on 20th at 3:30 pm, just half an hour before the event. The admins of our group have already arranged Naked Wolves group entry pass as a whole and reserved parking place for us 200NS owners.

              Guys,
What is the oil change interval you follow? Bajaj suggests 10K for its oil.
I am used to changing the oil at every 2K KMS in my classic 180 and my NS has gone 4K KMS with Motul 7100 oil.
My running is mostly in the city with not much traffic, I ride mostly in 4-6K RPM range.

              Please suggest.

Ya the new ones are very smooth and had very good low end torque... But i found them lighter than ours... Vibrations too are quite well controlled... Strangely the rpm getting stuck when heated up at 2.5k rpm is still there...

I replaced motul 7100 in my bike yesterday after 6k kms (along with 3M flush and new oil filter), most of which involved not-so-conservative riding. For your kind of use you can push the oil upto 7k kms. There are owners who have gone upto 8k km with 7100 but personally i think 6-7k is fine. Its a very long lasting oil.

But for only city use, i feel motul 5100 is a better option for you. It costs less, suits the engine beautifully and lasts about 5k kms. Occasional highway runs are fine as well. City use does not require motul 7100.

P.S bajaj oil lasting 10k kms is an old joke. There was a case here in mysore who faced seizure at 8k km with bajaj oil.

I would agree with you. Yesterday I checked the condition of oil through the oil window and it still reddish brown in color. So I assume its still got life left.
I call it city riding coz I'm still within city limits but most of my commute is via the Western and Eastern express highways (25-30 odd kms).

Thanks for the advice, I will try Motul 5100 in my next change. I won't run Bajaj oil for 1K KMS, 10K will be out of question.

One more question, how do you determine the chain and sprocket have reached end of life? Past 2 days I'm hearing some roaring sounds from the rear.
I cleaned and lubed the chain, the noise has subsided but its still there. My trusty mechanic tells me that the chain is fine, its just that the muck and water results in this sound.
Has suggested I lube the chain very regularly.

                    Regards

For aggressive acceleration, bad gearshifts, bad maintenance and regular high speed riding, the chain sprocket set will last upto 10k kms. Increasing the revs a bit slowly, going easy on the throttle, perfect up/down shifts and regular cleaning/lubing the chain will let you use the set for about 20k kms. Now, depending on the above factors, you'll have a life between 10-20k kms (assuming that there was no manufacturing defect). Knowing your habits and riding style, make an assumption.

You mentioned chain noise. To know if the set needs replacement, give a closer eye to the chain and the sprocket teeth. The chain's links are supposed to be of uniform length. Some might have expanded more than others. Also if you observe the slack side of the chain, if it's not straight i.e if some links are not aligned in a straight line, it indicates O-ring failure and no amount of lubing will help. Lastly the sprocket teeth are initially blunt and wide at the base of the teeth. If they're sharp or have 'slimmed down' near the base, its time for replacement.

There is a different torque values for different parts/bolts/nuts.
Search the net deep and you will find one.

                          Ride safe and have fun.

                                Cheapest option.
Take out seat to a cover shop, tell them to stich it little bit, then get yourself a seat cover, will cost around 100₹
