Black smoke is too much fuel in the engine or less air in the engine
White smoke is usually unburnt fuel but in a petrol engine is also for burning oil because oil doesnt burn in a petrol engine
In a diesel engine oil burns and gives blue smoke
Unburnt fuel is a very rare case. If you see white smoke it should be oil
If it gives white smoke at idle or at constant speed its due to oil leaking through piston rings or from oil gallery in block through head gasket into combustion chamber
If white smoke appears when you accelerate fast then its leaking through you valve guides and valve oil seals
But donot confuse greyish smoke for burning oil
Because the NS is jetted in such a way that most probably it will give black smoke when you accelerate fast but in a small amount that it'll apear grey
Ive never ripped my bike till now since im still in my running in period so I donot know

I have used an fs oil that left me with oil on the spark plug threads.... I kept searching for the culprit... valve cover oil seals, piston issues everything.... but everything was ok.... shifted to mineral or semi synthetic during summer and voila.... spark plug threads were clean.... conclusion I could think of was the oil was vaporizing and collecting in the threads....
Give it a shot,.. maybe it might solve your issue.
This was on a p150 classic and its very different from your ride, but I suppose the fundamentals are same. Give it a shot.

How come difference in jetting will cause different colour of smoke?

Rich jetting will cause balck smoke
The NS is jetted rich to overcome knocking due to high compression ratio

I'm also considering worn valve guides. I don't know if I mentioned this before - during cold starts there is an audible tick tick tick sound (louder than otherwise normal tappet noise) from the LEFT side of the engine (coincidentally the oil I found was on the LEFT plug). The sound disappears after about 10 seconds of idle. I've been observing this sound since 2k kms (or two months). The tuning seems to be perfect as can be seen from any plug. But since a few weeks I have been observing that the cold idle which was rock stable before has slightly begun to vary.
P.S my cylinder head has been worked upon at Race Concepts 12k kms back. It has polished ports.

I want to buy a bike within 2 months,
                  Currently own a pulsar 220 ,
Is 200Ns a good replacement for 220 or should I go for other options ??

Please tell me 200ns advantages & disadvantages over 220
Its been almost 22 months since I have been riding the NS. And I went to buy a 220.
One look and one test drive later, I was sold.
The only pair of advantages a 220 has over 200NS are its gorgeous unparalleled headlamps and much much better rear seats.
Rest everything is better or almost equal without most of the bajaj's perennial issues like vibrations, build quality et-al.
But that's a highly partial opinion and others might be better equipped to handle this query.

Then brother all the things you are mentioning now points towards,
Valve steam and guides, unless your bike is consuming oil you need not worry.... but try downgrading to a mineral once and see.
                    Also,
The ns engine is a highly stressed motor and is making quite a lot of power for its size from the factory itself, any modifications simply are stressing it towards parts breaking down... now head polishing dosent do any harm as such and joel sir is the desi side of chip foose but still, id stay away from modifications. Ns owners plese dont be angry.

R15 v2 rear tyre mrf revs 130/17 is by far the best vfm tyre. Buy an anti puncture get for added protection. Awsome grip, cheaper than the other tyres in similar specs.
Hae a look at the dukes 200s rear tyre same except the 140 section and you have the ceat dhoom 3 tyre.
Id go with the 130 r15 v2 tyre

This happened lastmonth in rain too.
What, is fuel cap leaking water into patrol tank or something else. .? As I don't think fuel cap is culprit.

Many reasons for this,( I face this too... Amazingly using choke or filling up with more fuel solves this issue..heres what I feel.
                              1) air filter is gettin wet (unlikely)
                              2) petrol tank has water. Fill a little more petrol and see. Solves it for me.
Also, we all know how great pulsar tank caps are... you cant even replace the rubber inside... you need the complete tank lock kit if it goes kaput.

Now this gets weird. I found some time today evening so i opened up all the plugs. Only left one had oil as i said. I thoroughly cleaned each plug & thread and put them back but this time i put the left plug to the right side hole and vice versa. The engine was cold. Thumbed the starter and wow. Idle settled at 1.5 like few weeks back. The tick tick noise that used to be for 10 secs was not there! Confused!

If this were not exam time i would just take it to the service center but now i have to wait for 15 more days before i get time. I might barely get to run another 300 km before service.
