introducing my ns,after 13 days and 2367 km.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.
#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
#overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

sorry bro even i got confused....again sorry for that.Originally posted by mayank.travadi View Postokay thanks very much again for the list..if u know any more parts let me know...i'm making a list..
and u didnt change the rear no. plate holder right??
nd the rear brake light assembly involves all the electricals wiring and bulbs?
just asking for knowledge so if in case happen to get in such an incident i'll know what to do...
hope questions not bugging you..i'll edit that hugger thing(its the rear hugger covering the monoshock or the secondary hugger with pulsar written on it? )...
parts are indeed not so costly...but...i dont know how they fare against other companies...i checked the rubber gromet and washer part nos. in dat pdf and there are no such parts..even an existing part had a different name...
PS if that bracket rear blinker is rear hugger then what is assembly hugger rear?
former costs 182 and later costs 168
bracket rear blinker is just the number plate "holder" without number plate.
assembly hugger rear, Tube rear hugger MTG, Cover_1 & cover_2 rear, altogether make one set with pulsar written on it

With all due respect I would request you stop repeating your posts...its really annoying to see the above quoted post almost at every 5th page. I understand that you are just trying to help the other members...but it would be better if you just post a link to the original post.Originally posted by [email protected]My suggestion will be the MRF Zapper Q & the exact dimension is available for the rear tyre Zapper Q Rear 130/70 - 17, 61 P, Tubeless 140/70-17 also available (as same is there in Honda CBR 150r , check the website). You can go to the authorised MRF dealer & ask for d same , if he says that if the exact dimension is not availble ,U can say its there in Honda CBR 150 & if he can get it for you........

@all, I recently visited an svc and guess what a mechanic said? It's common in all liquid cooled engines! What does liquid cooling have anything to do with tappet settings? He said the tenology (interpreted as technology) makes sure that the engine runs properly and that's why the sound. I was like 'what'? What did he think I am, a fool? Shouted at the manager and he too tried to justify the mechanic's tenological explanation! They basically don't know their own bikes. Wanted to visit another svc but didn't find the time. So is it alright to run the vehicle with the mild tappet sound which appears once the engine is heated? This is the one and only niggle in my bike!Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Mild tappet noise (from little bit loose tappet) is not harmful , you can continue to ride like that without any problem, indefinitely . Some bikes do have more of this noise than others (like the enfield bullets) - but it's not related to liquid-cooling etc bakwass
. But the noise is really annoying . Check the prescribed valve clearances from your owner's manual and set that properly with feeler gauge yourself
. Only a few tools are required and it's not a difficult job .

Okay, I'm a DIY type of guy so would love to try that out. Can you post any links as to how to go about it sir?Originally posted by Pinaki View PostMild tappet noise (from little bit loose tappet) is not harmful , you can continue to ride like that without any problem, indefinitely . One more query, just out of curiosity, how does engine lugging (once or twice) on a completely mature engine affect longevity and performance? I heard an engine should never be lugged. I want to clear my doubts.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

your bike is so fresh that I have no idea about it's workings yet
, but reading this would give you an fair idea . Remember that with 4-valves , there may be more tappets to adjust - check your owner's manual , it should have instructions on how-to-do-it . Valve clearance must be set on an cold engine .
Minor lugging now and then is not harmful . Moreover in real-life situations where you just don't have the necessary torque(or an opportunity to quickly down-shift) , while you must make your way out of trouble - what else can you do ? I get to do that a few times everyday in city traffic without any problem to my bikes through so many years .Last edited by Pinaki; 12-01-2012, 11:08 PM.

Hello All,
First of all, thanks a lot. Got many positive feedbacks from here which inspired me to buy pulsar 200 NS. Read hundreds of pages of this thread.
Got my beast on 6th November, Red color, awesome. While all of the owners having yellow colored like to call it bumblebee I like mine to be called "Optimus" :P It gives an immense pleasure when people come near my parked bike and talk about it a lot when I go to the office daily.
Installed red LEDs in place of pilot lamps. Looking too good. Thanks again to XBHP.
Smooth ride till 600 kms and then the first service came. After the service I'm having the trouble that the engine is stalling after a start in the morning. I don't know that this is because of the fall in temperature due to winters or because of some minor servicing fault. Can anyone help??
Posting pics of the day of purchase and the same night when I installed LEDs.
AbhiRiding a bike is an art - A thing that you do because you feel something inside...!!

Will try that out when I get the time. Semester exams coming up and I wont even get enough time to ride, let alone adjusting tappets! Thanks for the link sir!Originally posted by Pinaki View Postyour bike is so fresh that I have no idea about it's workings yet

Check this out: Tappet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaOriginally posted by Boris View PostCould anyone please tell me what this 'tappet' sound is??
i have no idea about it so i don't even know if my bike has tappet sound or not..
I don't think I can explain any better than the wiki
. Make a note of this: If along with the normal engine sound, you get an additional faint 'sewing machine' like sound, more prominent once the engine heats up, it's an indication of tappet sound. Anyway, read through the whole article in the link.
Maybe the mechanics made the AFR lean during the service. That could be the reason for the stalling. Anyway, idle the bike at 2k for a minute after starting after a long time (like the auto choke on FI bikes which automatically idle for a minute at 2k). This helps the oil to attain an optimal working temperature and also gives the oil a chance to work up the engine parts. Result? Lesser stalling and improved engine life in the long run.Originally posted by abhiuppi View PostAfter the service I'm having the trouble that the engine is stalling after a start in the morning. I have a weird bike (or is it?)
I'm pretty confused with my bike's fuel efficiency (unbelievably high). Filled up to the brim of the petrol tank and set the TRIP1 meter to 0.0. Rode about 40 kms after that and just to get an idea as to how much petrol was used, opened the fuel cap to find the petrol still filled to the brim! What's going on? Anybody else experienced this?Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.
