Can you tell me where to locate it plz. I am sure it is coming somewhere from the front but cannot locate it. A photo of the part would be greatly appreciated.

Now can't decide if existing customers should be happy or cry
Since, i feel if this happens then we people can have same future as 220fi people have. As bajaj is known to close down production, if bike sell decreases. And i assume that fi will sell more, as bad low end torque will be eliminated..And i feel it would be close type fi as seen on duke or other bikes, not open type as in 220fi...

I for one would not be so bothered about it unless the performance difference is huge, and the price difference is nominal.

Thanks for the reply. I had a feeling that I am running little leaner. And yes there is an issue of heating more than usual. Actually I have told the SVC guy that there is issue with the power delivery for lower RPMs, Guess he made the AFR lean to rectify it and ended up screwing everything. I showed his this problem of idling at 2300, he simply adjusted the idling screw. Well it didnt make any difference. Lets see what AFR setting can do.

          Thanks.

BTW, update about new rubber grommets I got on my NS: I feel like they never fitted them at all as post-service my bike is literally rattling. Foot pegs, handle bar, seat, fuel tank, everything vibrates, even when I switch off the engine and let the bike roll done the slop. Now even perimeter frame has vibrations in it. Riding NS is no more fun now. I am really fed up of this. The SVC guy simply says that he can't so anything about it. Will give it one more go by going to SVC this saturday, after that I am gonna complain to BAJAJ CC.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

For instance if you are changing your lane, without RMVs how would you look back(not every time will a rider turn his head around). I see tons of people at road without RMVs & they way they change lanes is just awesome..no cares what so ever of the car or bike in back. Please guys get your RMVs back on
@Ankur , Surojit and other - Sorry for the late reply .. I completely agree with all ur views. And believe me, i was Amongst the 1st person who will subscribe for riding/Driving with both the RVMs. But with the NS, another NSian suggested me to ride without the RVMs once, and then to feel the Difference. It sounded lame at first, but when i rode his NS, (which was without the RVms) i actually felt the difference.. I know it's all physiological, But believe Me, once you try this, you will feel that the NS has become A lot more flickerable. But while touring I do make Sure that i put those RVMs on. just that on that particular day, I just came from one place, and had to rush off since we didnot want to miss the Sun-set. However, all the way I just trailed my Friends Fazer, and he guided me well all along since he had the the bike with the Best RVMs (IMO). In fact just the next day, we again went for a small tour, and had my RVMs put on. Will be making a long trip to kalimpong next month, and i gurantee u all that the pics of my Destiny will be along with it's RVMs. And About Rim Tapes - Yes, those are Scheduled to be installed in this month.. but just yesterday i have lubed the Chain. So the rear tyre will be all muddy and dusty for the next two weeks.. Will install it after that.

Fi has the merits and the Demerits as well.. as for the low end torque, it all in the tuning.. I have myself tuned my NS to my liking after a lot of attempts. I wont say That the tuning of my Destiny hs reached the optimum level, but I can assure u that if tuned properly, u will have absoluyely no complaints About the low end torque. this i say coz I rode another NS of a fellow Xbhpian - @Sayank10, And believe me the low end in his bike is as good as it can be.. @Nilesh - I too am facing similar problems. Hope to get it rectified in the 2nd service (by hook or by crook )

To rectify your AFR ask the SVC to tune your CO to 1.5-2.0. Should improve it.

              • High idling rpm

                Hey guys
After riding the bike for a while, the idling rpm becomes 2.5k
this isn't permanent, because after about a minute idling on neutral, it gets back to 1.5k
                Is this normal behaviour?

The total cost comes to 600 INR in Pune also... it includes the cost and fitting charges....
well dada 600 including fitting is fine but he is asking 600 for stand and 150 for fittings..

But as far as its location under the tank is concerned, i did not mean its positioning. What i meant was that the air when pulled in will have dust elements which may not be filtered properly.

                    Where in Kolkata?
u'll get it on bl saha svc.... and regarding the air filter, its horribly placed... the opening of the suction pipe is just above the engine head allowing the HOT air from the engine to enter the air box and into the engine.... i think this is a big desigh flaw.. the opening should have been kept someplace else so that cold air can enter the engine.. Btw when i opened my filter box, it was stuck with leaves...

same here... they couldn't find the source... my bike was even opened up to bare minimum with only engine remaining and then assembled again... vibration and sound was completely gone for 2-3 days but again it started back

well thats quite a crappy tire... IRC is critisised a lot over here... all ninja owners are p**sed with the grip level... moreover wet grip is quite poor..

Was looking for motul 5100 SS 15w50 and found just one bottle of it in the entire city. Every single dealer said motul isn't supplying sufficient quantity of 5100. So I bought another bottle of 300v, poured the entire 5100 and 200 ml of 300v as 1.2 liters are required to be poured in. Now my question is, is it alright to mix two different type of oils from the same brand and of the same grade? I feel it's fine because I had read somewhere before that motul themselves have said that mixing any of their oils wouldn't make too much difference. Besides, SS oil is a blend of FS and mineral so I thought adding a little more FS oil wouldn't harm anything. I wanted to confirm it from the experts here.

                    One more query..

How would we know if a gearbox is screwed? Not that I've screwed mine but I'm curious.
i have never ever seen suchhh a stupid person in my life... (well dont take it seriously ) you mixed 300v with 5100? why man? you should have poured the full 300v and 200ml 5100... you just ruined the 300v... it would have been better if you pured full 5100 and 200ml from some cheap castrol stuff... keep the remaining 300v with you... on your next oil change, pour in the remaining 800ml of 300v and buy another 300v or 5100 and pour 400ml from it...

                    • Few days back i was in gandhidham and saw Red P200NS with a TWIN-PIPE silencer. It was screaming so loud. But as much sound it was producing, it was not going that fast. If the owner is here please show some pics.

Silencer was looking like some american chopper silencer.

well me too spotted a guy with a free flow exhaust on his ns.... next time i'll try to catch him and take some snaps.... the air-blow from the exhaust was so damn powerful that he waked up a sleeping dog when he passed it and the dog started running towards me as if i spoiled his sleep...so i ripped in fear

well bro for your answer regarding the duke front tyre not havind a groove, it does not have any grip on sand...it just slides over sand.... the more cuts in a front tyre, more it will help you in bad roads and water.... ever seen the wet tyres of motogp bikes? why do you think they have a centre groove on the moto gp tyres and lots of cuts on the sides....? thimk... whatever we do, we can never defeat the laws of physics

I have always admired the CBR series especially for the engine quality. Can you please mention what flaws you are talking about in CBR 250. I always refer this bike to others, I should stop doing that I guess
