Yes IRC's are good but hard to come by. Moreover I don't think one can get any warranty on them (though hardly required).Originally posted by nahimihza View Postwhy not use the Ninja 250R one? because it same size (100/80 front, 130/70 rear), IRC's Tyre, better stability in high speed, and the best part it's RADIAL Tyre.
Listen mate...if you can't respect an unknown person on the road, then at least respect the members of this forum. I understand that a good and clean language doesn't go through your thick head, but still I hope you prove me wrong. If you don't want any replies (good or bad) on your comments/queries then don't post them here and keep it to your poser group.Originally posted by pravin.murthy View PostDont care what you think... I understand that your the best human on this blog!! Congrats and all the best
There are many members who are senior to you...in experience as well age...so keep a note of it. And respect should be given to juniors too. Keep this attitude of yours out of here.
Hoping you would think about it.

One small query people..
Was looking for motul 5100 SS 15w50 and found just one bottle of it in the entire city. Every single dealer said motul isn't supplying sufficient quantity of 5100. So I bought another bottle of 300v, poured the entire 5100 and 200 ml of 300v as 1.2 liters are required to be poured in. Now my question is, is it alright to mix two different type of oils from the same brand and of the same grade? I feel it's fine because I had read somewhere before that motul themselves have said that mixing any of their oils wouldn't make too much difference. Besides, SS oil is a blend of FS and mineral so I thought adding a little more FS oil wouldn't harm anything. I wanted to confirm it from the experts here.
One more query..
How would we know if a gearbox is screwed? Not that I've screwed mine but I'm curious.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

And even it will color you too from back
Let it start raining mate... It can always be put back if its compulsive... I have no intentions to disturb anybody... that was just a reply to a statement indirectly meaning I have no option.. thats all..
Let me first see how it affects me and others on the road before I decide to put it back..Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostWell in the end it's your personal decision what you want to do with your bike. I would again recommend to think again during the rainy season. Lastly I hope you are not from Bangalore cuz I have seen people banging bikers with back parts like that
. Happy riding

My reply in bold was not about shouting but about being firm on what I want.. simple... I dont have a reason to shout at you my friend....
The total cost comes to 600 INR in Pune also... it includes the cost and fitting charges....Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postwell buddfy u will surely change your mind once to riode in rains... forget your pillion....think of your console getting dirty... wana know how?
coz water and mud will come from behind you over your head and land on your console... so naturally, you can imagine what will happen to the rider's back and helmet.... even i dont have my hugger installed and learnt my lesson... so whenever it rains, i make it a point to fit it... you simply cant run the bike without hugger in rains....
Well, if the situation is bad as you explain then I will fit it in for sure... when the time comes..
you will need the centre groove in sand and water... in water it will channel out the water from beneath and in sand it will work as a groove to sit in the sand... without centre groove, it will just float over the sand with zero traction... a good option for ns front tyre replacement is the front stock tyre from pulsar 220/180.. zapper fs 90/90 - 17... it is arguably one of the best front tyre available in the country today... holds damn good in offroads. sand and water and is quite grippy...
Whats your thought on the Duke 200 not having a tyre without a centre groove... Im sure its neither a slow bike nor a bike with cheap spare parts if there is a fall...
well 90 kmph comes at exactly 6k rpm, and 100kmph comes at ditto 6.7k rpm...
why get it from delhi...? its available over here... he is asking 600 for it... and the mrp is 517 what i saw in this thread... can anyone please cpnfirm the exact mrp which is printed on the stand carton...?Originally posted by myth2104 View PostYes IRC's are good but hard to come by. BREAKING NEWS:
Pulsar200NS to be exported to markets like Indonesia with fuel injection. 200NS to get injection in India in the near future as well.Since, i feel if this happens then we people can have same future as 220fi people have. As bajaj is known to close down production, if bike sell decreases. And i assume that fi will sell more, as bad low end torque will be eliminated..And i feel it would be close type fi as seen on duke or other bikes, not open type as in 220fi...

I owned an RTR 160 Fi for 4 years before buying the Pulsar 200 NS.. Ive had nightmares because of the Fi system on my bike... Stranded in the mid night with the bike not starting with nobody to help!!
I had to replace the Bosch Fi system twice in 4 years.. each one costing me 5K!! as it had stopped working completely....
TVS service guys were looking at stars without knowing what to do with the bike.. They even agreed that the model was a failure and hence was discountinued...
I beleive the RTR had an open type Fi as against a closed loop one... so not sure how well that would work...
Please dont get carried away by Fi on Pulsar... Its high on maintanence (If it stops working) and Fi system makes the drive jerky lower down in the rpm... Im sure it doesnt produce more torque lower down too...
I agree that it helps in cold starting while its working fine... and the throttle response is really crispy when its in form... It also helps in that little bit of more fuel efficiency too...
However, it is risky as its not reliable...
I have huge regards for the japanese bike makers who are masters in having Fi on bikes... However, Im skeptical about Fi systems from Indian manufacturers (Bajaj and TVS) though...
I am happy to have the bike with the carb rather than going through all the above reliability issues...

I have almost the same riding conditions like you...my college is 13 kms from my place & located deep in the city & hence have to face very dense traffic conditions usually...Originally posted by Alwin Raj View PostHi Friends,
This is my first post to this thread.. i just need piece of advice from 200NS owners. After a lot of analysis (though not in 200NS) i decided to buy CBR150R. and i have booked that bike and waiting to get in hands by Feb 1st week. why i have booked is that waiting period for this bike is 1.5 months..i badly needed a bike by February 1st week..Honda showroom guy told me that anytime i can cancel the booking. they will detect only 200rs. after booking i had many confusions which bike to choose... after a lot of analysis i narrowed down my research into 3 bikes CBR150R>CBR250R>200NS.. dont be surprised..Duke is not there in the list (Personally i did not like that bike).. and also you might be wondered all 3 bikes are made for different purposes (CBR150R-race bike, CBR250R-highway tourer, 200NS-naked version.. even i dont know why i am confused with these 3 bikes..) let me justify why are these 3 bikes.. My budget was 1 lack.. i can stretch it to 1.5 lack if it is really worth and makes sense... initially i started with FZ.. since many bikes are already running in streets..i decided to go for R15.. because of Pillion seat and uncomfortable riding posture i decided not to go for.. Then its competitor CBR150R.. this bike met all my requirements but only issue price is bit high and there is no Pass light, engine kill switch & Poor quality switch gear. still i am planning to go for this bike only.. if your advice changes my mind then it could be 200NS
.. Why CBR250R... ? 150R is 1.4 lakh & 250R is 1.7 lakh... my mind was asking why not spent 30k more and go for all time best CBR250R.but FE is very less compared to 150R... thats it about the background of my research on bikes ... now come to 200NS... when i saw this bike first time i did not like it.. since Bajaj showroom was very near to my home.. i happened to see this bike oftenly...then i started to like this bike..recently i did Test Drive for this bike.. Really good bike.. it has all the features and 200cc engine.. riding pleasure was not as good as R15 which i test drove very next to 200NS.. With 1 lakh price tag all these features are not available from any other manufacturer... also fits in my budget.. i want to know the Pros & Cons of the bike, FE & what is advantages and disadvantages it has over CBR150R ? There are some concerns about the reliability of Bajaj.. i am looking for long term use..
I have listed my requirements below.. i am seeking your advice on this... since there are 1000 pages in 200NS ownership thread i was able to read only few pages....CBR150R was launched before this bike.. but ownership thread has only 200 pages.. so i just thought there is something special in 200NS...
I am living in Maraimalai Nagar (20 Km from Tamabarm), chennai. i am 27 years old. working in mahindra city which is 12 km away from my home. i looking for a new bike for commuting purpose. most of the time i will be using the bike to go to my office. . in weekend and holidays sometimes i hang with my friends and go for riding. not every weekend. occasionally i go for a long drive. There are many bikes for commuting. but i want a stylish, reliability and and at least 35- 40km/ ltr fuel efficiency..
which bike you would suggest for me ?
And even I didn't like the looks of the NS initially...to be honest I hated it...was very disappointed from Bajaj then...but its rather funny that now it looks uber sexy to me...

You'll grab a lot of eyeballs everywhere you go...I've got compliments for my NS by an 8 year old kid , parking watchman of some malls , passers by , etc etc...
Now coming to your query :
If you have the moolah for the CBR 250 R , you should go for it...it offers a lot more power...its a lot more stable on highways...if I would have had 1.7 lacs at my disposal I would have not even considered the NS...cuz there's no alternative to power & frankly speaking I don't feel that the NS is that much powerful...but if Fuel efficiency is an important factor to you & if you dig the naked styling of the NS, then NS makes sense...
And CBR 150 R doesn't appeals me at all...its too underpowered for its price , plus it doesn't looks as good as the R15...& is more expensive than R15...
I've ridden 3k kms on my NS so far & I'm getting an FE of 42 kmpl.
Also there's a news that Bajaj is launching a Fuel injected version of the NS...so if you can wait for it then I guess it would be worth it...
Maybe its Bajaj's answer to 100s of pages of improper tuned AFR screw queries on xBhp

I always used to think y apache fi never became such a hit, I guess now i know y
Honestly Bajaj, TVS or any other Indian Manuf are still miles behind Japanese co.s & KTM. They set the standard all over the world.
However, in past few years there has been very good news as I feel now at least they are challenging them
Still a long way to go though
I would love to see BAJAJ or TVS introducing a bike in market without having the most important card up their sleeves i.e., value for money. Can't wait to see a day where BAJAJ or TVS excels over YAMAHA, HONDA, SUZUKI, KTM, etc in terms of quality & Performance.(I hope i see it in my this llife only
)
Being best is not about beating everyone. It's about how much you learn from others and make yourself even better
