I don't think, WD40 is a good idea. it is for only a temporary help. If you couldn't cleaned up, it may make more corrosion, I think
    After-all its basically kerosene.

Usually within 4-5 minutes in bumper to bumper traffic it should start working, if not then you need to get it checked at the svc. But now since it's the monsoons, the engine still run relatively cooler , so might increase the time it hits its critical temperature for operating. Still if you are worried. Try revving the bike in standstill at your home or somewhere after a sedate spin of 4-5 kms , should start the fan in about 2-3 minutes

This is my first interaction on this website. Hoping to get a good solution soon.

I owe a Pulsar 200 NS from last 10 months and in last 10 months i had met 4 - 5 small and big accidents with it. Every time my bike had fallen due to any reason, it had broken the leg guard either it fall standing at a place, either in a accident of a speed of 20 - 30 kmph or 50 - 60 kmph.

And also twice till now the downside bolt on left side leg guard got cut by itself.

Kindly suggest as if i can change or get a new and strong leg guard or if there is any solution top this.

            Lalit

            Any suggestion on the above..

I had a few queries for my Hooligan considering the rains in my city have arrived earlier than usual:
                1. How stable is the Bike on wet roads, I mean I have ridden on wet roads but then this was generally due to spillage from tankers/construction sites, not continuous rains.
                2. Do I need to put a cover on the handle to ensure that the switches don't go kaput.
                3. Will the seats get spoiled in the rains and do I need to put a cover on that also?
                4. Yesterday I started my bike after a gap of almost a week (its been raining & I some how can't gather courage to ride in pouring rains) and noticed that the rear wheel was quite jammed up. However after I rode for a km and checked again the wheel had become quite free but the disk had heated up. Do you guys feel something is wrong and should I show it to the BASS guys?
                5. Rim Tapes - I have seen quite a few Yellow NS's with a yellow rim sticker, looks nice but does it last?

Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Even I have had issues with the lower bolt breaking for no reason. There is no solution to it other than replacement.

Mine had the same issue. broken bolts without any cause. It may by the quality of bolts. Anyhow I had changed my stock allen bolts to normal ones. untill now no problem with those bolts.

Sadly, not possible. because of its design. We should use long bolts, which is the reason for its weakness

                      ....
if you keep the anchoring points same, you can fabricate a bigger guard, although it won't solve the problem of bolts getting bent. for that you have to change the bolts.

Funny Incident:i was at a traffic signal, and there was a bike next to me, the guy on that bike was looking continuously at the underbelly exhaust on my bike, later on i realized that my bike's exhaust gases were hitting his leg and he was amused by the location of exhaust.

Got to see green 200ns today in thakur village, Kandivali, Mumbai.

Man it was the ugliest thing Bajaj did.
The green is dark as of leaf green.

I've seen 220 as green, yellow, white painted and sold by Suman Bajaj, noida but the green was same as ninja. But this green. It sucks on look.

                              Hi Aditya,

You can switch to 110/70 profile for front.. have been riding for months now with 150/60 rear and 110/70 front.. none issues in handling , corning , top speed , mileage or grip on wet road... In fact bike handle feels very light.. If you r confused abt front tyre .. its better not to change.. stick with stock one.. no harm ...

                              Cheers !!!!
