        Hi,

As of now go with 5100.. 300v is more suited to bigger bikes rather that our 200Ns engines.. would suggest you to fill 7100...only thing, once you put 300v it will last longer in our bikes than compared to 7100 i.e. around 9k kms on ripping. Performance wise you wont be able to feel any much difference although the difference would by very minute for humans to notice. I just dont use it coz its 300rs extra per litre than 7100 and doesn't actually provides the boost of 300rs worth....

            Bwahahahaha...You kidding me bro?!!
You mean to say the whole Pulsar line-up is about to change? You have been seriously mislead by those so called Bajaj R&D people. There are only two NEW Pulsars coming up. No existing pulsar is about to get the "NS" tag. How can you imagine a Pulsar 220 to be suffixed as "NS"??
I guess they made APRIL FOOL...

anyway had my third service recently, there is one problem i found in this bike, this bike needs very high periodic maintenance, maintenance just to keep all nuts and bolts tight. and it doesn't mean if u don't tighten it, parts will fall off, but it starts making sound, which feels like engine getting harsh but its just the parts vibrating!!!

This is only complain i have, why does parts gets loose so soon!

And btw i find my bike's rear seat height lesser than new ns parked at my side. Also rear suspension has gone soft (though i feel suspension to be perfect now) but never seen this happening in other bikes..

and am just following run in for 1000kms
4k shifts till 500 kms then remaining 500kms 6-7k shifts.

You can switch to Motul. Try using mineral 3000 for close to 3k max. And after that you can switch to SS. That being said make sure you don't always keep the bike at 4k RPM always, occasional high speed bursts are good for engine break in.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                    THE END

                    • Hi, This is my first post on the forum. So here it goes...

I am looking to buy a 200ns this week. I have been following this thread for a while now, so i want to know if bajaj has fixed most of the issues reported previously? for ex.. squeaking noise from the brakes, vibrations etc

Anyone who has bought one recently can shed some light on this?

If you want the oil to last longer go in for SS, fit's the bracket in which you want it. If you can afford the 7100 it'd be even better.

When the P135LS was launched, it was pretty clear that they have launched it as a test bike to understand & analyze the customer's reaction & adaptation to that, also on it's performance with a 4-valve engine. Not sure if they'll name the under 200 one 'NS' too, mite give it a different designation, which would be more profound & sensible, but it can be of any displacement segment, 150 may have greater possibility. 4-vavle, triple spark are the new tech that bajaj will try to implement on almost every next bike till they come up with a new tech I believe.
I was trying to underline the point with official source...

But i really think, with the hype of 200NS, i makes a whole lot of sense (to me) to name new bike with NS label....

Well time will tell, no point in getting into tussle over speculations, now, is there any??

                              BTW,
I changed to Motul 7100 20W50 after 3rd service @around 8500kms. Didn't find much difference from 5100. Certainly a marked difference from 3000 series as expected. I do think that 7100 would have better life than 5100 which lasted for about 3000kms.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Anyway, I bought a yellow Pulsar 200NS from a local showroom today. Any specific tips? I've read some stuff on the running in period and this is my second bike (after my HH Ambition bought in 2004)
