its not bout the tire brand but the tire model which matters... Which tire from michelin are you considering....let me know, or you can PM me.. I have a lot of experience with tires but i would suggest mrf revz s for rear and zapper fx front if you are in a budget... Moreover the revz is is a radial tyre and lighter than pirelli...

The SVC most probably wont be having Mineral Oil.
They will be having DTSI oil whic is SS in nature.
You can buy a bottle of mineral oil from outside, and ask the SVC guys to pour it. But make sure they do it infont of you.

If you are NOT willing to change the oil very frequently, then you can go for Motul mineral oil.
Or else go for a cheap mineral oil, and change it within first 80-100kms

First will go with a cheap mineral oil.. do the motoman stuff.. then switch to Motul.. that sounds decent??..

This will not void the warranty right by changing to mineral oil??

2.5K is too much. When the engine is heated up, adjust the idling screw so that it settle downs to 1500. In case you have starting troubles later, then set it to 1800 max. 200NS has very high revving engine, so should idle around 1500RPM.

It would be better if you change it now.
Most of the engine break-in occurs within 1st 80-100kms, and thus the minute particles gets accumulated in the oil.
Thus the performance increases if the oil is changed within 1st 100 kms..

my 100Kms was done within 2 days
so i should change the oil now and again during the first Service time?

                      • Hey guys, I'm from Bangalore. I've been following this thread since Chintan brought home his NS. I got mine delivered (in yellow of course) on July 25th. She has done about 900km. Done with the first service as well. I'm getting a mileage of 48 in city and got 55 on a long ride. Well, I'm not exaggerating guys, but I just want to confirm if the other NS owners are getting such FE!

                          Now that's ur choice.
It u are replacing it with a costly one, then no need to change at the 1st service.(which I guess is at 500Kms..)

                          • No issues as such at 750Kms now. Instead of Bajaj Dtsi Oil, poured in Motul 3100 20W50, Semi Synthetic, topped up the coolant. Bike is even smoother now!

                            (1) Motul Oil - 394/-
Is this 20w50 SS - advice your experience after using this oil, will opt for same.
                            (2) Coolant - 20/-
                            (3) Oil Filter - 64/-
                            (4) 3M WAX Polish - 34/-
How come they charge INR 34 for wax polish, can I ask for same here in Hyd once I take it for 1st service
                            (5) Chain Lubing - 70/-
                            (6) Other Consumable - 35/-
You must be the change you wish to see in the world

well as far as oil is concerned i would suggest to use bajaj oil till first service since it is a bad oil and will create a lot of friction aiding the run-in... Changing to better oil will create less friction increasing the run in time... At first service change to motul 3000 mineral...
