    • Mileage

Hello All, I have been following this thread since the launch of Pulsar 200 NS, and I finally booked my Pulsar 200 NS Red in Bangalore.

Can anyone tell me their mileage after the 1st service, I heard from one of my friends who owns one, said he losing mileage day by day.

He also said the tyres are of bad quality. Any pointers or suggestions on this.

I am really nervous about this, but am unable to contain my excitement to get my hands on this bike.

@dear xbhpian, can you check your idle rpm too? I had experienced the exact same thing with my RTR 3days ago and i adjusted my idle rpm [but please don't do any adjustments by yourself on your new ride, mine is well many months old].
Even I agree to the lean mixture thing. To check if your bike is running lean, try checking if the engine gets hot unusually even after riding small distances. In moderate-extreme lean mixtures, you can hear mis-firings too.

It's not about the RIDE. It's about HOW YOU ride :]

i have the same gliders bro... Trust me, i wont advice anyone to go with this helmet... Total crap helmet... Once you cross 80, the helmets starts to shake heavily and once at over 100kph, it will move up, down, right, left and what not... After 120, you will be hell scared... The visor quality is very poor..., same goes for the padding... It feels soft at first, then the padding goes hard and the fabrics will scratch you cheeks, even worse, if you have a beard... Your head will sweat like anything in city summers.. No ventilation at all..

Yes the tyres are not the best ones. Pirelli is the choice if you are able to get the right fit for your bike (as advised by most experts here in this thread). If your friend is getting worse mileage along with time, his bike may be having some issue (which isnt so apparent), or he may be riding it a little roughly. Get it examined by SVC.

                      Hi All,

i'm new here as a logged in user but was following since march and enjoying the owners experiance since june.
recently i made everything ready for a booking. yellow was in my mind
The showroom guy said yellow is a limited edition. [i'm little scared of limited editions]
Also they said the prices will go up in the next month.
now they are quoting 97k [94000 + 750*3 ] and said it will go up to 103000
                      Is this true

I assure u that Yellow is no way a LIMITED EDITION..Dont worry.
AFAIK, bajaj has already increased the Prices due to increase in Raw Mat cost.
No further increase is predicted as of now

I would suggest Shell fuel... Normal unleaded...
Quality and Quantity are much much better than other bunks...
The ones on Vittal Mallya Road and Lalbagh are the ones I visit regularly and they are pretty decent...
Oh just for the record, Shell petrol is slightly cheaper than others in Bangalore... Currently...
