but look at the price diff too ...fz's front tyre is too good ( very soft compound ) .. you might not be able to exploit the full potential of SD , so revz S might be a more practical option ...Originally posted by Speedshift View PostThe revz s costs Rs. 2900 here but the pirelli is better than that, have ridden my friends R15 v2 on Revz S and then on SD after he got it changed at 16k on the ODO and the feedback from SD is better than Revz although not by much.

Please Help!!!
Finally.. will be receiving my Bumblebee tomorrow..

I need to know the following:
I am planning to swap stock tyres with michellin rear (Pirelli won`t fit my pocket!).. are they ok too.. or should I wait and swap to Pirelli later.. any idea of the cost of Pirelli in Chennai..??
Engine oil.. I want to Motoman break in my engine.. will SVC folks fill mineral oil for me, if requested (or provided by me!).. will it void warranty..??
Thank you for all your replies for the helmet (sorry too many pages to go back and multiquote), but the Gliders helmet I got was for a very short time use.. will be switching to LS2 in a matter of months..!!sigpic

My Black beauty is giving FE is about 39Originally posted by blackbeest View PostAfter first service the mileage i'm getting is around 42. Calculated by tank full to tank full method.
Initial reading - 480
Second reading - 870
Fuel Consumed - 9.3 Lts
It calculates down to 41.9
Most of the riding is done on highways. Speed varying between 55-80.
which is little low comparatively for this top technology bike with 3 plugs in!!
Ride safe!

Idling Issues!
I have Clocked about 330KM. I have noticed that RPM Idles at 2.5, when the gears shift are in Higher RPM say like 5-6 or when I give short bursts and let engine braking happen.
Someone please clarify.
What is Air Fuel Ratio? Where is it found?( Is it the Idling Screw) What should be the Recommended AFR and how do we do it? Will this be a DIY or take it to SVC?
TIA

I use the 3M Wet Sprayable Grease, I find it to be better than the OKS/TVS/Bajaj ones. Though Motul is also good. at 617/- it's good.Originally posted by thunderbird_m6 View PostSince rainy days are going on, which chain-spray is most favorable for 200NS?
For Air Fuel Ratio, take a look at the Wiki link Air?fuel ratio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaOriginally posted by Chaoseater View PostI have Clocked about 330KM. Ideally, you need to check the CO% with a metre to adjust the AFR. In NS it's even more difficult, due to position of the AFR screw, take to it to SVC.
Air Fuel Ratio, is different from engine idle speed. Idle speed is basically the minimum RPM at which the engine runs when you leave the accelerator. This can be adjusted easily, there's a screw on the RH side of the engine top. Once the engine is heated up, the idle should not be more than 1600RPM.
You can ask the SVC centre if they particularly have a 20W50 mineral Oil. Best would be to take the bike to a local mech and pour in your own mineral oil, and then later get the oil changed at SVC centre at 700+kms!Originally posted by govind.one View PostEngine oil.. Took the bike for first service:
No issues as such at 750Kms now. Instead of Bajaj Dtsi Oil, poured in Motul 3100 20W50, Semi Synthetic, topped up the coolant. Bike is even smoother now!
(1) Motul Oil - 394/-
(2) Coolant - 20/-
(3) Oil Filter - 64/-
(4) 3M WAX Polish - 34/-
(5) Chain Lubing - 70/-
(6) Other Consumable - 35/-
Total 701/- (Including taxes).. Cheers to Auto Service and Mr. Venkat for an immaculate servicing!

In a budget constrain you can also opt for the R15 v2.0 MRF Revz (as mentioned by someone earlier). They too are good tyres and cheaper than Pirelli. MRF should by a good substitute for PSD.Originally posted by govind.one View PostFinally.. will be receiving my Bumblebee tomorrow..

And as @Shibadip said, exchange your rubber asap to get a good exchange price.
And congos....happy riding and making your beast scream (as ur going the Motoman's way)!

Roger that :P BTW, My RPM is on the Higher side when heated ( After some short bursts, then I stand in the signal the RPM idles at 2.5K) Something to worry about? For Air Fuel Ratio, take a look at the Wiki link Air?fuel ratio - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

More Idling means less mileage, let the same set up be till around 100kms and then I would suggest you to change the idling to 1.2K for cold engine so later it will idle at 1.6KOriginally posted by Chaoseater View PostRoger that :P BTW, My RPM is on the Higher side when heated ( After some short bursts, then I stand in the signal the RPM idles at 2.5K) Something to worry about?
