The eurogrips are not bad tyres, they are a decent set of tyres and most of the people here are using them and only 2-3 have gone for change including me. I changed them as i found them very slippery and they scared the hell out of me on 3 occasions, the last one being a small kid jumping straight in front of my bike and the tyres skidded big time, only god saved all three of us that day --the kid,me, and my NS-- thats when I decided to get rid of those eurogrips.
I would recommend that you get your bike and ride it for a around 1000kms and see how you feel riding with them, if you dont like them you can go for Revz S for rear and Zapper FX for front or for Pirellis like me.
Do try to keep your eurogrips puncture free by avoiding bad roads etc to get a good price for them in exchange, mine were 2000kms old and fetched me Rs. 2400
Hope it helps, Ride Safe.....

Thanks a lot buddy for your valuable feedback.. Yeah I will keep your instruction in mind.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostI guess you meant 40 KM/Hr
Sorry mate, jsut kidding. Anyways, 40 KMPH is not the correct speed and that too in 6th gear. Stick to the manufacturer recommendations if you want. I say, stay near 50-55 kmph for the first 1000 kms with occassional small speed bursts for a few seconds say like touch 60-65 (conservative??). Then gradually increase the speed after crossing 1000-1100. Avoid harsh and sudden braking and sudden acceleration too. Check for the coolant level and engine oil level everyday for leaks/low quantity. Also, make sure the tyre pressure is per manual suggestions. Use engine braking (google for more detailed info). Don't run too high a gear for too low a speed. Simple things here, nothing rocket science.
And yeah, don't forget to change the oil and oil filter in the first servicing. You should be good with the above method.
Experts can jump in to modify.

Thanks a lot for your feedbackOriginally posted by R-series View Post40km/sec might be too fast before or after the 1st service
just kidding, well there is a run-in procedure that you are "advised" to follow which is specific to the rpm limit and not the speed limit.
Owner's will be able to guide you with the exact figures.

@ DNA: Nice pics. In the pic, is the front mud flap standard/custom, did you have to drill holes for that; pl share costs involved.Originally posted by DNA View Posthi guys, yesterday i did 300+ km traveling on bike ,in which filled petrol at a pump and again while returning filled at same pump, kms traveled 213

So, finally brought the red lady home (the first one to come home from showroom in Gurgaon actually)!!
I must admit that it was quite an eventful first ride for a brand new motorcycle, with the exhaust going under rain water, mud off roading, zipping through heavily conjested traffic and last but not the least, tarmac as wet as it can be, all in the first ride from showroom to home
First impressions, well, can't say much, because this is a new genome and genetics analysis do take time, one or two rides do not tell you anything, specially for a motorcycle which is trying to carve a niche!! But at the same there were a few things which I noticed like -
1) The motorcycle is boringly stable at city speeds. My previous Pulsar 200 made me work on it to make it go the way I wanted, and that taught me a lot of things. It was just brute force from the word go. The NS on the other at or below 4k rpms is so damn stable that it almost gave the feeling that I'm riding a CD Dawn, just much more powerful.
2) Since the brakes and the rubber are also breaking in, I played with them accordingly, and I didn't had an single nervous moment, even while I just guiding through mud and fully soaked tarmac.
3) The horn is a shame and there's no qualms about it.
We have to understand that a new motorcycle off the block is like a child being born and like every little child has early glitches and slowly the chlid comes into it's own, so is the case with motorcycles. So, there's no point jumping the gun on negetives.. as it doesn't make much sense.
