I am having a hunch that they already have the bikes... Maybe dip could help out since you and myth are out of town and me lying with fever...damn...!
Ya, i too believe that there must be something going on between the dealers. Seeing the craze, they could be hoarding it, so as to sell the 1st lot at a premium.(just a wild frustrating guess)
All the thanks to XBHP, that we are more informed than the dealer.

@Shiba : No shiba i guess it should be launched before 15th. Just replied Rahul as it has been really long for you guys to get your hands on it. Did MG reach there and did u guys meet him ?

What the hell are they thinking?? We will also have to pay the same price, what others are paying..

and the frustration increases manifold when the customer care & the dealers gives such shitty replies..
It has been more than six months since the bike was unveiled, and more than two months sincee the bike was first launched in Pune.

              Thansk for ur honest opinion.
BTW, does ur quote to @rahul also suggest that we have to wait further.
Coz i better believe u than believing those ass**** dealers

Edit: as @Rahul said, I too am going to blast a mail to bajaj. Such arrogance is never good.

God please have some mercy on people (read bike enthusiasts and art lovers) in West Bengal...starting with Kolkata....and give the people at BAL some sense of appreciation of someone's emotions and a little bit of pity so that they get to know what we are going through to get this bike in our hands.
How helpless and desperate we feel to hear everyone say "Getting my bumblebee today", "getting my beast tomorrow", "Its a the best"!!

Mods: Sorry for the li'l bit of OT and the over dramatization. But understand our feelings.

This is how we felt when it was unveiled >
              Releasing in April >
              In June >
              Released in MH >
              Released in South >
              Kolkata release unknown >

Don't believe them...they're a bunch of liars. And don't be surprised if they say that Chintan got his bike from their showroom.
@Myth : 10,000/- non-refundable deposit is not possible. Max a dealer can charge for cancellation is Rs500 - Rs.1000. If he says 10k is non refundable shoot a mail to Bajaj.

The sound from rear disc are nothing new, just matter of bedding in, adjustment and cleaning. It happens with lot of bikes, including my previous 220. The reason why it happens with few bikes and not all of them is because the disc pad on these bike are either not properly set, has debris or uneven surface.

I would suggest, Bangalore guys let's meet up, we can share a lot of info and get the confusion out by comparing our bikes.

                • And.. A Legend was born..

It was raining, as if heavens have opened up.. Rains lashing the windshield of the WagonR.. Water is the only thing which was to be seen.. Road was hardly visible.. The stretch to the by-pass was killing.. poor light.. But, my friend drove on.. Phone rings.. Showroom guy.. "Sir, we close at 6.. Make it on time, else delivery tomorrow.." Clock struck 5: 45.. I want my bumblebee today said a voice in my head.. Distance to cover was 55 kms.. Time I had was 10 minutes.. sadly, I didn`t drive P200NS yet!!!

Called up Papa.. told him, take the bike.. wait at the showroom.. After a whirlwind.. reached showroom by 6 30

There was a crowd standing infront of the showroom.. I thought.. Maybe some famous guy passed by.. after surfing through the crowd.. in the center of the crowd was my dad with the bike.. Trust me.. Yellow is such an attention seeking colour..

Delivery wala walked up.. Said.. that this bike is 200 cc (I didn`t know that!), has six gear and can go fast.. really??..

Push.. and there came.. Bumblebee to life.. Took it to the HP Bunk nearby.. filled up for Rs.500 (Power, 6.3 ltrs).. and the fuel gauge showed 3/4th of the marks.. really??.. is the tank that full??.. I was told.. Reserve was 3.5 litres.. is it true??

Super smooth engine.. I loved the sound.. I would call it music.. even if I don`t drive it.. I would pay to hear the sound this engine make.. It is truly music to my ears.. I engaged the first gear.. and she starts moving.. all the mightiness.. lucky are the ones who are staring at it.. because I never can see that (don`t want to anyway!!)..

The gearbox was bang-on.. no delays, no false neutrals, no dhak-dhing sounds.. Throttle felt as if it was wired into me.. I think of doing it, and whoosh.. Bumblebee obeys.. Throttle was such responsive.. love it..

Brakes were very good too.. I tried it at 55kmph.. and it quite stood still.. surprise revelation is the EuroGrip tyres.. it did not slip.. nothing at all.. It rained all day.. roads were wet and slippery.. but tyres did not slip..

Cornering was effortless and mindbogglingly beautiful (yes.. even with TVS tyres).. tried a couple of corners with a pillion (my sister loves bikes).. and bumblebee scored 105 (5 marks for good looks!).. Handling is never an issue.. cuts and zooms in traffic..gives enough kick for any corner lover..

Motoman is no difficult in this machine.. I mean as soon as I touch the 4k RPM mark.. it says.. "that`s all??.. Let`s go a little further..".. thus, Motoman is the easiest done on this machine.. although I am taking a calculated Motoman approach..

                  1st 500kms - 4- 4.5 k RPM
                  2nd 500kms - 5-6k RPM
                  3rd 500 kms - 6 - 7k RPM
                  4th 500 kms - 7 - 9k RPM

                  is that ok.. any comments??

Finally, riding this bike is like taking Morphine.. you will think you will stop after a little while.. but all it does is.. it grows on you even further..

I know.. this isn`t any review.. but I felt like telling the folks what I have experienced with my Bumblebee.. I apologise for the delay in this post.. office work killing me.. got only one hour a day to drive

                  Odo reading: 40 kms
                  Max. Speed: 57kmph

Sorry for the poor pictures.. will keep them coming.. no time to click pictures.. as soon as I see the bike.. I want to start driving..!!

For those who are confused/waiting/booked this one.. Please wait however long it takes and get this bike.. nothing else can give you this feeling.. no not even your girlfriend..!!

Castrol or Motul as Chintan suggested. But better just get it topped up from the SVC centre, they might just charge you 20 bucks or so. Also because if it's a different brand coolant you will be required to change the whole coolant, which is not at all required. Also, for just topping up, you will be required to open the front tank fairing. Better get it done at SVC centre. BTW, even if the coolant is at the minimum level, it's nothing to worry, the coolant expands on heating. Also avoid topping up the coolant level to MAX position as well.

Thanks a lot rahuldevnath . It is little bit above min level as I am planning for short trip this weekend so wanted a small topup... soon when I leave for first service ill do it in service center only.

Because of Ramadan, I will be leaving to Bangalore tomorrow night for 10 days. The dealer said I will be getting the bike in 3 days, that is by Monday the 13th. I won't be home till the morning of Tuesday the 21st. I want to go to the office by bike on 21st. The dealer said he can give the bike to my flatmate (another NS owner) by Monday the 13th. If this happens the bike will lay in my block unridden for a whole week. For protection, I have a security guard who can keep a check on the bike till I come. Also the bike will be covered with a rainproof cover. Else, I can ask the dealer to keep the bike till Monday the 20th and my flatmate can collect the bike from him then. But can I trust the dealer to keep the bike as the registration will be done on Monday the 13th? Because he will have a registered bike for a whole week with him, or do I get it home as soon as it's registered and keep it covered for a week? Because, you know the watchman is kinda trustable but it's my first bike.. Guys please suggest what to do?
