I didnt get offended dudeOriginally posted by csajal View PostNo one is saying that Pulsar 200NS is Indian Ducati, what we are saying is that the genre and class of motorcycles the Pulsar 200NS belongs to, it does not deserve a saaree guard with single sided foot stand as we have in many other motorcycles, which are "generally" used for daily commutes. Every motorcycle has a different purpose, target customer and usage by design and what the Pulsar 200NS offers by design suits it's character. If someone has a special need for a particular type of riding pattern then retrofiting mods are always there (something for example what stunters do, a lot of retrofitted mods for stunting like crash guards, bars and grips) The example of Ducati and Bruatle was to highlight genere of motorcycles the Pulsar 200NS belongs. Rest, it's the owner's steed after all, the owner is always free to add to the motorcycle what is felt right.
Moreover Rahul humbly said not to get offended, he was just putting forward a point, so I hope you didn't get offended by his comment
but any genre bike can have multiple use in India (if you remember the hamara bajaj advt funky guy on pulsar bowing when he finds a ganesh mandir) we are Indians we expect MPV
my query was just can it be added if so which would be the best fit for P200ns

Dear Vinay,Originally posted by vinay 200 ns View PostWhich color you are opting for ? & tell them you wanna see the bike before registering they will arrange for the same then note down the chassis no also at the same time check the tyres it should contain green & red marker on tyres & in most part off the bike will be covered with a plastic cover say like indicators, visor, headlamp, speedometer console, sareegaurd & by seeing the bike in flesh you will be able to make out the difference between used & unused parts.
Even though i am a 'BLACK BIKE' guy but i must admit that i got floored by Yellow
.. that awesome combination of Black and Yellow truly bring out the bikes detailed features
Thanks for the advice on the new bike check

Label me a fanboy but as an Indian owing a Pulsar to me means much more than owing a Ducati (even if I might be able to afford one). Makes me feel proud as an Indian (the "NS" even more so). With or without Racing..Originally posted by suhas chowdhary View PostAnd more over people buy Bajaj bikes mainly because Bajaj customizes its bikes to suit the Indian audience and Indian environment (I was an MBA student and did a project on two wheeler buying behaviour).
And boss 200ns is no way an Indian Ducati. As for me and many others they would go for Yamaha/Honda/Duke if they are looking out for a complete racing machine as we know they are pioneers in making racing bikes and not Bajaj for sure (with 200ns engine 70% similar to Duke).
To each his own I guess.

I am Rohit from Bangalore. I have been following this thread for quite some time and i must say that there are some really good reviews of the bike in this forum.
I drive a Pulsar 150 cc dtsi 2004 model which has grown old now after doing 80,000 kms so finally decided to change the bike.
It is true that many of us who drive the Pulsars get attached to the bike and i am one of them.
I did a test drive of the bike at Khivraj Bajaj at Kasturba Road Bangalore and booked the bike immediately. Upon enquiring, the service personnel told me that more than 100 bikes have been booked already
and has given a waiting period of 20 days
So now i am one of those who are going through the excruciating wait
But the plus point is that i get to spend some quality time with my old bike and would like to take it to Nandi Hills and other nearby places till the time i get my new bike
One more thing, i am really confused on which colour to choose... I currently drive a black bike and believe that black will never fade. But Yellow was truly eye catching!! My only concern is that the yellow colour may fade away after some time... What do you guys think?
Regards,
Rohit
Rohit same pinch bro the above lines are quite same of mine.
I have a pulsar black 150cc 2004 model & till date I have made 81800Kms even I decided to change the bike.
Yes black dint fade much in my bike too only the lackering has come out in some places.
Go for Yellow man its Awesome I have a reasons to opt for Yellow
1) First time in pulsar yellow is release
2) As Black, Blue & Red is common in pulsar this color makes different on roads
3) Dint like the yellow in Karizma,RTR,Zen & Santro but it looks better in those vehicles except yellow in santro, But this Mustard Yellow is just one word Awesome its different from all other vehicles.
4) Tiny scratches are not visible on yellow, If maintained well it will last long as red & Blue.
5) I like the metallic finish too.
This is my personal opinion so I choose yellow.
I know am dirty fellow so now don't tease me as " yellow yellow dirty fellow "Anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac.

Buddy its not that the speedo/RPM aren't working. The wire for sure is unplugged. The showroom guy must have told this to wrap up the whole thing.Originally posted by rohitkumar1985 View PostI had done a test drive on Tuesday at Khivraj Bajaj, Kasturba Road Bangalore. I had noticed that the speedometer and RPM meter were not working and remained at 0 all through... When i enquired with the test drive guy, he told me that its a Test Drive vehicle only. Hence the meters do not work
After reading many of your posts, i am afraid if these test drive vehicles are also sold out to some unlucky customers
But yes, selling these bikes to customers is unfair.

No one is doubting how much safe a rider can be when carrying a single sided pillion. It's equivalent of saying that "I know how to ride safely without helmet". I'm just saying as a rider we should avoid carrying people as single sided pillion on a bike like 200NS. It may not be Ducati, but its still sporty, with a very high pillion height. Can you think of making someone sit single sided on R15 V 2.0? I bet it would be a hell of a lot scary ride for pillion.Originally posted by suhas chowdhary View PostHello rahul you are asking people to buy a commuter bike just because they want to carry a pillion who is a traditional Indian women (mom/sis/wife etc) isn’t that insane?
And more over people buy Bajaj bikes mainly because Bajaj customizes its bikes to suit the Indian audience and Indian environment (I was an MBA student and did a project on two wheeler buying behaviour).

For me 200ns is a complete VFM with sheer power for daily use and occasional outbursts (we know Indian roads)
And thanks for your concern about carrying a single sided pillion I have been doing this since 10years and I know how careful I should be when I am carrying them
It's your bike after all, ofcourse there can be modification made to customize the bike anyway you can. But expecting Bajaj to implement it is absurd!
And do you mean to say that people prefer to buy a Pulsar 200NS over Yamaha or KTM just because its cheaper and is inferior to them?? We all have own options, and for me given a choice to pick up between CBR250 and P200NS I would without a single thought will choose latter!
I have paid in full as well. And expected delivery is this monday or tuesday.Originally posted by aayush1984 View PostMade complete payment towards my BumbleBee at Kalyani Bajaj Mekhri Circle
