  • Test Rode The New P200NS

I've booked (10th booking) the P200NS @ Popular (jayanagar) Bangalore. I d choose the Black (?) which looks more towards an extreme dark brown.. well that's the least i am bothered about. The feeling's a big WOW!!! what should I say.. well the net's full of reviews and ownership reports which explains how this bike's a real worth. I guess I should get my bike in a couple of weeks.

I 'd appreciate if someone could throw some light on to these performance enhancers for my P200NS (lol I am yet to get the delivery of the bike.. still...)
.... like to know where to buy them in bangalore....

Pirelli Tyres - (Pirelli MT75 for front and Sport Demon for back)
HID Projector headlights. - is P200NS HID ready?
    K&N filter.

    Thanks and regards,
    BilluRaj

apart from the tyres,, I wouldn`t recommend modding/changing anything that voids the warranty that would be a hefty gamble to make..!!

congrats on the bike.. ride safe.. do post your review and pictures..!!

        4. Comment on the quality of the helmet you got with your bike @Harsh Rider

You can check out this seller called eastwins on Ebay for ls2 and cross helmets and riding gear if you want to rip off your dad . The helmets are relatively cheaper and he gives free knight rider gloves with every delivery. The reviews have been good too..

Experts said enough.. I can`t say it any better than them bro.. I will try putting down what I felt.. please bare with me..!!

I put the key in.. turned it on.. the RPM meter went all the way up.. and settled down beautifully.. was already having goosebumps.. badly was waiting to turn on the engine.. had to wait for around 15 minutes for the showroom guy to pillion (not allowed to drive without them!)..

Finally.. Bumblebee springs into life.. true beauty.. I say.. the sound.. the very feeling of sitting on it.. idling somewhere between 1 and 1.5 k RPM.. click.. first gear on.. it moved smooth.. like a hot knife on butter.. smooth.. went smooth for a while.. then.. tried a little logging.. switched to 5th gear on 2k RPM.. then opened the throttle to 4.5k RPM.. no hitches at all.. it over took a crazy auto and silly Scooty aunty happily.. and willing to go more on RPM.. I wasn`t..!!

The suspension felt good with a pillion.. didn`t try riding it alone.. they didn`t allow me to.. so no idea about riding solo.. Vibes.. I didn`t feel any.. maybe I didn`t cross 6k RPM.. so sorry..!!

Mature.. Powerful.. Rev happy.. rider happy.. the most beautiful moments of my life(apart from the time I saw my girl for the first time .. the only difference being that that one doesn`t love me.. Bumblebee does) these 15 minutes.. although felt like a time wrap for me..!!

The overall feel felt perfect for me.. worth to be made my first bike.. Hnadling was truly wow.. felt like a FZ.. a lot more lighter.. turning radius is very Pulsar like.. no complaints from me.. Pulsars are made to be so..!!

Hope it helped you.. and sorry for making it so long..!!

I don`t have any pictures.. didn`t take any one along.. I wasn`t sure if TD was on or not.. didn`t want an irritated friend on a saturday..!!
Great to hear about the TD. I won't be going tomorrow also for the test ride. Have some other work coming up. But will be paying the full amount tomorrow evening.. Btw, did the showroom people tell you when the bike will be delivered? Me and my flatmate are both buying NS. He saw the black one and fell in love with it.. So that also shifted my choice to the red one. If I want to drive another colour for a while I can drive my flatmate's

        • what is the total amount your paid bro please explain the process can i pay cheque or should it be only cash
To be on the safer side, I paid 50000 as cheque and the remaining amount in cash which is Rs.49082 (Which includes Rs.900 as Smart card charges and RTO Charges etc.) and already paid Rs.2000 as booking advance.
Dude That blue bike was sent to chickbalapur showroom when it arrived. its back here as a test bike. I had been to the dealer on yesterday. I asked him to get me a blue one for TD but he said it wasnt registered yet.... so took the red one..... anyway thanks for the vin number.
The red one had Abhinav as name, is that yours? I did not want the blue one because I had TD on the same bike and the guy who assists during TD ripped the hell outta that bike in front of me. The bike was used as TD for alomost 3 days.

You might be running low on engine oil. Try to buy the Bajaj DTSi engine oil from outside, drag your bike(don't start it) to the nearest mechanic or bring him home to get the engine oil poured in if you are not able to DIY. And the most important step, before doing it, click the photo of the engine oil maker, show it to the showroom and pop an email to Bajaj showing your dealer's negligence.

The stock tyres are good enough for daily commute mate. You shouldn't be bothered unless you ride like Valentino Rossi. Just in case you are paranoid about the Eurogrips, you can ask @Chintan, @Suro, @Faffy and others or perhaps go back a few pages to see @Suro's review.

I will call him tomorrow or might just pop into the showroom and ask. The last time I went there to get my insurance renewed, he told that August is the tentative time when P200NS will be available. They don't even have the banner to advertise the new beast.

Coming to the second point, I am currently riding 13 months old Pulsar 150, clocked 6650 kms till date. Monetary problems mate. Dad getting retired in another 5-6 months, so everything will come down to me. I might need to pump in around 50Ks for THE P200NS, so holding off a bit. :'(

Can i do the first service in the pro-biking SVC.

today morning i checked the engine oil by tilting the bike and there was oil in it..
but i think if you keep the bike in vertical position we should be able to see oil level.. guys please advise..

so.. there is some oil in it.. (sorry for sounding like the CID!!!) but I guess you should be able to see some oil in vertical position as well.. atleast some below the minimum mark.. I don`t think it is a safe option to start the engine.. take it to the nearest service.. if there`s oil in it.. and good enough to run the engine.. then take it to pro biking.. don`t risk it bro..!!

                          • Had a small discussion with the showroom guys in bhopal. The probiking showroom @ indore have no idea about the bike or delivery. And are not taking the booking too. How ever, surjeet autos told that the bike will be available by august and are taking bookings with an initial payment of 5000 INR. Should I believe them and make my booking?
Riding is not about destinations, it's about journeys.

                            • I saw a section of an automobile show in one of the news channels this weekend where they briefly reviewed NS200.

One thing they mentioned was that - Its tyres are not upto the mark, particularly for sharp turns and stuff. If one wants to make the bike nearly perfect after the purchase, it is a good idea to change the tyres.

Although this has been repeatedly mentioned in this thread too, I would like someone to conclusively advise on what tyres should the originally fitted tyres be replaced with? It seems to be more of a requirement than a luxury.
One more thing that needs to be known is - How convenient it is to replace the horn? We now know that the horn quality in NS is an absolute let down too.

Requirement or Luxury.. depends on what you are looking for.. if you are a cornering loving biker.. it is a requirement.. if you are seedha saadha biker.. no cornering.. not the one who tests the handling capacity of the bike.. it would be a luxury.. I suggest pirelli demon for rear.. will swap them with the stock tyres once I get the delivery.. bad experiences with TVS Euro Grip.. can`t risk it in the monsoon and my city`s roads..!!
