200NS PDI List
Thanks for ur wish buddy. Till then getting "ready" is all I can do.Originally posted by sandysend View PostHats off dude... awesome compilation..
Your bike is a lucky one.

I honestly hope you get ur bike soon enough ..
Here is a NS PDI list which I have compiled partly - from the various internet post, and partly from my experience.
1 Ensure there is no dent or scratch mark on the whole body, especially the lower parts.
2 Check the tyre thread patterns, and look for the thin green line on the centre of the tyre to ensure that the bike has not been used as test bikes.
3 Do look for abnormal gaps between the seat and the panels.
4 Check the coolant level and Ask for topped up coolant
5 Check the Brake oil level for Both front and rear brakes
6 Ensure vehicle can be locked properly, and smoothly
7 Ensure all the engine kill, light switches & brake lights are working. Check atleast 2-3 times
8 Check for rusts anywhere on the metal parts (Frame, forks, brake pedal)
9 Make sure you have more than adequate fuel
10 Check for first aid kit (dont know if its provided with NS). Can any1 confirm this
11 Start the engine (Dont rev hard all through). Rev a little and check if its is smooth and the RPM metre in the instrument panel matches with the revving.
12 Check if the instrumentation is working as per the buttons
13 Check for abnormal vibrations.
14 Ensure the chain is lubed well
15 Check the chain slack is within normal range.
16 Check for tool kit & number of pieces. Current owners please confirm it.
17 Ensure that the alloy wheels are balanced.
18 Invoice copy
19 Insurance copy
20 Pollution under control sticker
21 Ensure that RC book & tax token will be delivered in specific number of dayssigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.

Guys today I've test rode it.
No words - One can imagine the feelings as I changing from XCD 135 to 200 NS. So not commenting on engine smoothness and performance.
No height issues, as am 6ft.
The bike feels heavy while taking U turn. That is for sure. Brakes are precise. One have to be pillion to know the mono-shocks smoothness.
Not taken post 6K as the speedo is not connected. Might be some ones NS.
( God bless him, because he'll cancel the bike when he sees showroom guys handle that bike..

why all Showroom guys is like that..!!)
Me with my friend Jackson had gone.
Thank you for all the wishes..
Here are some pictures.

some points about my bumblee bee according to my ownership
Here are some of the points i would like to tell all of you about my pulsar 200ns according to my ownership.
pros
It looks like a very macho bike with lots of muscles in short its a complete hooligan and bike feels big.
It handles very well in the traffic handling is just awesome and cornering on this bike is fun its like butter on bread
The bike is really quick , better than any of its class except duke and cbr150 but they are costly .
The parts in the bike is really solid and quality material and the paint job is done well enough
The head light is sufficient enough although i would be happy if the projector lights of 220f was there i like them more
The petal disc brakes are really good , they perform there work efficiently
The gear box is really very smooth , its a great leap from previous generation pulsars
The pilot lamps looks awesome at night they give more of a alien look which i like
The seats are very wide and comfortable for the rider and for the pillion also
it has smooth torque delivery and the refinement is good u can even smell it
The bike is looks hungry all the time in terms of rev and overtaking is effortless
Even after hours of riding engine runs very smoothly
The underbelly exhaust provided looks really good to me
The height of the bike is really tall and i like that as i am 6.2ft tall.( it may be a problem for shorter guys)
And The color of my bike(bumblebee) its different and looks brilliant its the icing on the cake.
cons
first thing i would like to mention are the horns , i did not like them at all they sound weak and they will not be enough when using it on highways i think
There is lot of gaps between the pillion seat and the side panels which i don't like
There is very less space under the pillion seat i can only keep the documents in it nothing else
the bike sways to the left when i leave my hands
There is no center stand provided with the bike You have to buy it as an accessory
Tyres are good but they could have been better( but u cant get everything under that price tag) :68:
The yellow console looks sporty but i would like it more if it was blue
The digital speedometer is not good enough it has shown me incorrect digits many times
There are little vibration for the rider and pillion which can be felt but that create no problem in riding quality.
After three days of riding i was getting very irritating and weird noise from the back of the tyre , i showed it to the svc guys he told me that it is coming from disk brakes because the dirt has gone in it so he washed the bike and the sound is gone but after riding few km the sound was again coming
so i have wash the disc brakes everyday with water i hope this problem will be gone after the monsoon as told by the the svc mechanic.
Note:All these points are according to my opinion and my experience it may be differ from person to person. at last i would to say that its a great bike no bike can provide everything to you its just marvelous bike with minor issues in such tempting price(under 1 lakh).Current bike : Bumble bee ( pulsar 200ns)

yippee...
after months of waiting finally bumblebee it is
went for a test drive today at kalyani bajaj, blore
it was a red bike for testing.
initially i was like is it me or is this baby small to look at.
but when i got on the saddle . then it struck me i'm a mr shorty
the seats are wide so couldn't place both my feet firmly on the ground (tiptoe).
so i think this is a matter that i should get used to.
now the actual drive hit the ignition it came to life instantly nice sound too
then shifted to first gear and it slotted in very nicely. no harsh kadak sound like in previous pulsar's .. moved on when trying to go for second gear it fell to neutral but quickly shifted again to get second guess this happened because i'm used to fz's gear's
from then on i opened the throttle a bit to get comfortable and instantly was in love with the engine . its superbly refined couldn't even strain it a bit in my test run it pulls like heaven through out the rev range btw i did go only till 9k rpm in 3rd and 4th couldn try 5th because of traffic. as the speedo was down(not connected i guess) couldn say the exact speeds i reached but i think it reached 80's in very few seconds . it did handle nicely didnt feel any burden because of my height
or the weight of the bike . its easily flickable in traffic. then i hit the brakes a bit to see how it slows down and the brakes are solid it gave excellent feedback. and in the last stretch i saw an empty road ahead i pinned the throttle a bit and this baby roared
. loads of power through out the rev range there isnt a flat point any where. but maybe the initial push is missing as in my fz but after the initial few moments its super fun to ride the NS.
now for the downside of the ride did feel some vibrations creep in at higher rpm's near the tank area.but its isnt alarming . but one wont feel it as he would be preoccupied with the speed the bike is travelling at those moments. but not much vibrations on the handle bars as reported by few here , but it was there
.
hate the panel gap between the rear seat and panel
bajaj must fix this asap.
bajaj should have put in a better looking tyre at the rear it kills the overall looks of the bike . r15 v2 rear tyre might look sexy on NS...
but overall what a bike man \m/.
for the money its an absolute steal for the amount of technology that is incorporated into a bike that cost so less..
hats of to bajaj for making it so vfm.
now for the hard bit "WAITING".
maybe by wednesday i will have my bumblebee

now for the important bit to fellow owners and future owner of ns.
i think i need to remember this everymoment i ride this bike.
with this kind of power come's great responsiblity as mentioned by MG sir one should know his limits and should not be a danger to himself and other humans around him.
ride safe BROTHERS .Live once and die once

Changed the front panel
Today changed the entire front panel of the bike (due to the neutral indicator not working). The led was blown so they couldn't repair it. So they replaced the front panel with a brand new one. Sadly, the odo got reset, but not a big deal.
The panel comes under warranty, so they charged nothing for the parts and labor but billed me Rs 150 for courier and packing charges( they have to send the faulty panel back to bajaj to get it re-reimbursed). I spoke to the manager and told him that I don't mind paying but I will contact Bajaj and ask them if customer is supposed to bear this charge. Hearing this the manager duly cancelled my bill.
